Do you have a link to the previously created character sheets? I can't find them.

Thank you for the series of videos, I'm enjoying them all.
Question, in this video you have the Layers, Content, Properties, and other palettes/window grouped into a tabbed window! HOW!?!? I've dragged, clicked, searched and cannot figure out how to group all the windows like you have.
    Thanks!

Well, nevermind....I've figured it out. You have to close all the palettes, and a bar appears on the right when you slide them over there...then they dock! Very cool.

Depending on the OS you are using, you may have to make Scribus full screen.

Is there a way to set the text wrapping in a multiline pdf text I put field?
When I create paragraph sized pdf text input fields, the input becomes one sentence in the middle of the field and I would like it to fill the entire box, possibly shrinking or expanding the font to accommodate the size if that is possible.
    Thanks for the videos!

      The Short Answer is Yes.
      The longer answer:
Multi-line PDF text input fields allow for text wrapping by default.
Verify that you have set the PDF input field as a 'multi-line' field by double clicking on the Frame in Scribus. The 'Field Properties' Windows should appear. From the Field Properties Window, select the 'Options' tab and ensure the 'Multi-Line' option has been selected. Press 'OK' and re-export your document.
Multi-line input fields should start at the top left (right based on localization) of the frame and wrap based on font size selection and dimensions of the Frame. Unfortunately, the text can not be set to dynamically change its font size to fit the frame as values are being entered from a Scribus configuration. Instead, Adobe will append a scrollbar to the input box allowing readers to scroll through the content.
      We hope this helps.

Is it possible to create a text field that is populated by Default but still Editable?

      @Phil Boyd
Creating an Interactive PDF Text Field can be populated by Default in the final publication-PDF.
      1. Create your document
      2. Add a PDF Text Field
      3. Edit the PDF Text Field with the Story Editor (either by using the button in the shortcut ribbon or by right-clicking on the frame, selecting 'Content', and then 'Edit Text with Story Editor...')
      4. Add your default text to the field in the Story Editor Window and save.
      5. Export to PDF
The resulting document should have a pre-populated text field that can be edited before printing.

@@TopCLAX Thanks for the response, but I found it much easier to just use the main window to edit the PDF text field. The Story Editor is just way too much trouble for me. But I did get it to work out.
But let me ask you this ..... is it possible to apply Manual Tracking (as with the Advanced Settings in the Text Properties Window) to the Text Field and have it apply when the form is populated as well? I can't seem to get that.

Good question. After multiple attempts with various different configurations we have been unable to address this issues as well. This seems like an Item to bring up to the Scribus development team as a potential bug.

@@TopCLAX It's just for a little project I'm doing it would be nice to do. How does one bring up a bug to Scribus? I know I've posted on their forums a few times in the past and got no response on things.

There is a link in the top right of the Scribus Home Page for submitting bugs. Alternatively you could go directly to 'bugs.scribus.net'

Good simple videos. Thanks. I am just getting started with Scribus and was hoping to find a video on how to create interactive/clickable navigation tabs (similar to this tutorial using InDesign ruclips.net/video/nnDOVYl6Jec/видео.html )

Wow, this is an interesting PDF feature and is completely doable in Scribus using the PDF 'Link Annotation' in the toolbar menu. Thanks for bringing this up and providing a link to the other video for context. We may have to put a video of our own together showing the steps to reproduce this behavior in Scribus.
