This was so nice. I was in a shitty mood and wanted to cry but I decided to put this on. I painted my toe nails, did my eyebrows, and put on a face mask all while smoking weed, drinking some hard seltzer, and snacking on hummus. It really did feel like a girls night. I don’t have many girl friends so this was refreshing. Thank you. 💕

My sister has a non cancerous tumor behind her eye that she’s been on medication to shrink. The medication makes her headaches so much worse, which is so ironic. After watching literally every video from mile higher productions and hearing how highly you talk about weed/cbd I asked my sister and parents their thoughts about trying it as a form of alternative medicine. We decided to start with CBD and after doing tons of research, yesterday she finally got some oil to rub on her head when the daily migraines start. Yesterday she used it for the first time and her pain stopped almost instantly. My parents thought she was joking. It’s been 2 years and NOTHING else has worked for her. She’s had to quit sports, take time from school, and lost interest in a lot of things but this gave us so much hope for her future on this medication. I wouldn’t have learned really anything about the benefits of weed/cbd without this podcast, mile higher pod, and Kendall’s channel. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU ❤️

I live in Arizona and we have federal checkpoints throughout our state and even if you have a medical marijuana card, you can get in trouble if you have it at a federal checkpoint. Mainly because it's considered "federal jurisdiction" which would make it fall under federal law. Federal law says it's illegal.
This is why we need to legalize it FEDERALLY, and expunge everyone's records who did and are doing time for any marijuana offenses.

The doctors said he would never walk, talk, read or even live very long. Chris will be 30 this coming March and he walks, talks, taught himself to read and all sorts of stuff. I'm from Sweden and I care more about the outcome of the Swedish election, but I followed the American more. Maybe because it's so dramatic? Anyways, happy for you guys that Biden won! I also want to add some facts about Swedish elections:
In Sweden elections are held every four years. Currently thers's 8 parties in the parliament. For a party to be part of parliament they have to get at least 4% of the votes. The winning party gets to form the government along side other parties they want to collaborate with. The government chooses the prime minister, usually the leader of the winning party. The government rules the country but is overlooked by parliament.

    • @lotteknijn8484
      @lotteknijn8484 3 года назад +1

Hi, I'm hopping on your comment to explain how it's possible that elections are sometimes held more often than every four years! When the cabinet can't overcome a disagreement on a certain issue that it has to decide on (because a cabinet is formed by members of different parties, who don't always agree), the cabinet 'falls' and elections are held to form a new government. This is the way it's done in the Netherlands, and I'm guessing that's how it works in Sweden too

    • @Moa-zy9vt

I love listening to you guys. Makes my day! And I can tell you being reunited with a family member is one of the most life changing, most overwhelming experiences I’ve ever gone through. I was playing hide and seek with my brother when I was 11. I decided to hide on the top shelf in my parents bathroom. I thought it was empty up there but when I got myself up there I saw a photo album with pictures of a little girl who looked so much like me but wasn’t actually me. Found out it was my older sister. My mom was a senior in high school when she found out she was pregnant and her and my dad decided to put her up for adoption due to their family life not being the greatest and also being so young. So she’s my full biological sister and when I met her for the first time, it was crazy how very similar we were as far as mannerisms and how we talked and our sarcastic personalities. Anyway, just wanted to share my own experience. Always love hearing about other people’s experiences with it. It’s nice to not feel alone with it. It’s difficult but also heartwarming when it works out and people are able to build a relationship even with all those missing years between them ♥️

I started to see a huge black hole in the floor and I was falling through it, it felt like those roller coaster simulation videos kind of. I asked my roommate, "am I gonna die?" And when I said die it repeated in my head "die die die die" that got quiter like sm echo in a cave. I also said "hello?" and the same thing happened, an echo in my head. It actually was pretty traumatizing because I didn't intend to do it, never had done it, and am the type of person who splits a tab of acid with a friend cause I can't even handle a full one, while I have friends who can easily do 5 tabs. I'm known as the lightweight and was laying there tripping harder than anyone I know ever has. I wish I could have enjoyed the experience and actually allowed myself to fall into that black hole and keep my eyes closed and see what waited for me in there, but I was trying to ground myself the whole time. I remember the oven timer went off for my roommates pizza and I got so relieved and happy when I heard something from this reality, like it really helped bring me back. I totally want to do it again and have some crazy music playing in my ear buds and close my eyes and let it overtake me. It was scary af! I was super happy for about a week after it cause I was so grateful I was alive because I really thought I was dying(didn't know much about the drug beforehand). Then I got pretty bad anxiety, anytime I thought about it too much I would start to feeling like a vertigo feeling like the world was turning upside down for me again and start to have a panic attack. Like a true panic attack, not just anxiety, gagging, sweating, shaking, violently, the room looking like a fun house of mirrors kind of thing. I had to get on ativan, which I only take maybe once a month now, because all I really needed was to have something on me that would stop the panic attack, just having the option in my bag or whatever helped so much. Anyways that's my story! I'm much better now, if I tried to type this out last year I would be sweating and shaking right now having flashbacks

I don’t usually comment on RUclips but I’m big on listening to my intuition and I just have to say THANK YOU ♥️ I’m 31 years old, from Canada 🇨🇦 , and last spring, I found out I was dying of a neurodegenerative disease (and yes; the citizens of Canada and the leaders of our political parties - conservative, liberal, NDP, The Green Party, and Bloc Québécois - have the power to call an election if we’re not happy with the way the prime minister is running the country). I was glued to the tv all week and it totally felt like one never ending day. What happens in the US, effects every aspect of the globe. So I am THRILLED for you guys and the awesome win for the entire world. I felt like, for the first time in 4 years.. I could breathe. I can’t imagine what you guys must have felt. I just want to say thank you.. for always providing me a place where I can come and feel like I’m just hanging out with friends.. I’ve had many hard days; and you guys always brighten them. If you’d like to follow my journey, - I would love to chat to both of you - you two are my kind of people; and i need all the good in my life that I can get right now. You guys are awesome ♥️ you remind me of my cousin and I who I haven’t seen since June (she’s an essential worker).. so watching you guys makes me feel close to her, when I need her most. Lots of love from Canada ♥️

When I worked for the government, I had a behind the scenes tour of an airport, hosted by TSA. It is still one of the coolest things I've ever done. One of the most interesting things I learned was that they do not have drug dogs. They specifically said, "we only care about things that make planes go boom." It is illegal to travel with federally illegal drugs, but they also don't enforce it that much. Something as small as a joint and especially edibles, are fairly easy to get away with. But it's always a risk.

Speaking of the nature vs nurture debate, my dad was adopted and he always knew, a few years ago his biological mother got in touch and we had a reunion with the whole family so they could meet, my dad was adopted by my grandparents at 6 weeks old who gave him an amazing life and were always loving and caring towards him and he had a very happy childhood. We met his biological brother who was born a few years later and had had a very different life in and out of foster homes etc and was a lot more ‘damaged’, however they were both such similar people as adults, even by there mannerisms and the way they told stories and liked to make people laugh, had similar tastes in music, hobbies and clothes it was uncanny and we couldn’t believe they hadn’t met until now

Ok, I’ve got to comment again. 😀 My grandpa had a twin brother. Their parents felt they couln’d take care of two boys so they gave my grandpa away to a rich Russian family when he was a toddler. A few years passed, he was very spoilt with all good things and then his parents wanted him back and they took him from the Russian family! He was their only baby, I feel bad for them. Don’t know anything about them sadly.
Also now I’m remembering some weird traditions my grandpa spoke about. His twin and him used to have to sleep together in one small bed but they had to sleep like yin and yang, feet in another twin’s face... also their feet would be tied up to the bedframe 🤨 my grandma said that it was an old belief that men grew taller when they were stretched out like that. I don’t know, it’s all so odd to think about. Sadly he passed away on my 12th birthday so I can’t ask him more about his past.

I’m in the uk and I guess Canada works similarly to the uk. Elections have to happen at least once every 4 years but whoever is in power can call it early at any point within that 4 years. It’s a bit messed up in my opinion because the prime minister and his party will keep an eye on the polls to see when they are most popular and try to call an election at that point so they have a higher chance of winning.

You manage to mesh humor and serious topics with a truly open and accepting world view that goes far beyond the performative/faux woke videos of some content creators. Of course I can only personally comment as to my own community, but I feel grateful to see such a refreshing view on all the subjects you discuss.

If y’all love happy stories of working dogs then check out the dogs of places like South Africa and Tanzania that are preventing poaching. These dogs are responsible for the safety of endangered animals, mostly Rhinos and Elephants. Animals protecting animals. It’s beautiful. They have dogs to take down the poachers, ones for tracking, one for finding leftover ammunition, etc.

Also, when you guys were talking about police dogs, my family dog when I was a child was actually trained to be a drug detection dog for the police, but he didn’t make the cut. Lol. He was a chocolate Lab named Charlie. And basically he got too distracted easily by treats and stuff. So if a dog doesn’t pass to become a police dog, they do adopt them out to the public. He was the best dog I ever had. And he came trained already for everything. Potty trained, knew how to sit and lay down and give you his paw and everything. He was the sweetest! And it was my aunt who told us about him because she used to be a prison guard, so she had connections to that world of police dogs.

For self care I do face masks, put on a podcast and work on a puzzle, I speak to my therapist, light a candle, etc. since the beginning of the pandemic I have been out of work and honestly it’s a very uncomfortable feeling. I feel like I’m not doing enough, or that I’m lazy. I even deleted Twitter because I saw so many people attacking others for not working right now and because of all the negativity on that platform. 2:18 Hi Janelle! The Canadian political structure is similar to yours: Federal > Provincial (essentially the equivalent of State) > Municipal > School Board. Each level has independent powers in their own jurisdiction. The Constitution calls for quadrennial elections, which means we basically get to vote each year on a level or another.
However, when a government that has minority in the Chamber senses a momentum, then its Prime Minister can trigger new elections before the end of the mandate, in the hope of scoring enough counties to form a majority. Then the 4 years mandate resets and that's totally legal.
Also, bear in mind that there's no limit to how long someone can be the leader, as opposed to a USA President for instance.

Hey ladies:) I'm finally catching up on the Sesh and I actually have an adoption story. So when my Grandma was 15 years old she had gotten pregnant and back then things were so much different than now and her dad was extremely strict. So her dad made her give her son up for adoption. Fast forward 30 years, she has had two children (my mom and my uncle who passed away when my mom was a kid) and she also has 3 grandkids now too, he actually found her! 30 years and he never stopped wanting to find his birth mom, his adoptive parents were always for it, but he felt like he'd be disrespecting them by searching for her. Until he finally did and they reunited and he is SO much like my grandma. Hilarious, a singer, and an overall really caring man. And on top of that I got a new cousin who I am really close with to this day. I was 3 at the time and am now 25 and it blows my mind still to this day how things like this come into place.

My little brother has down syndrome and like you said Kendal when it comes to down syndrome you always hear the negatives when Kain was born we were told all the things he may struggle with and ways he would be different no one told us he would grow up to be incredibly determined, that he would light up any room, that he would make everyone laugh all the time! that he would be soo good with his younger cousins ☺️ hes smashed many of our expectations and seeing people like Chris make me hope the world can see what I see when I see my brother and others with down syndrome strong resilient people who face adversity on a daily basis and usually come out smiling 😍🥰

I've had fibro and psoriatic arthritis since i was 17 (20 now) and for my arthritis, all the medications that my doctor was willing to put me on because of my age either didnt help at all or gave me such bad side effects that it wasn't worth it. He then recommended medical marijuana to me for the pain and to help control the inflammation that leads to damage. My mom who has had the same disease for over a decade had just started using it earlier that year, and my parents agreed to let me try because it had helped her. Not only did it help with the pain more than anything, but I was able to go off of my anti anxiety meds, my antidepressants, and my sleeping meds. The change was incredible. I've used it ever since. There are times I need to use it all day, and there are other times I don't need to use it for days at all- no withdrawls or major risks to the liver like other meds I've been on. It is truly a medication, and the best one in my opinion.
