My grandmother passed away in January and we went through all of her life's photos as well. Was wonderful but emotionally draining at the same time, so I can relate 💜

The part about learning to take pictures differently resonates SO DEEPLY with me. Whenever my friends insist that we take pictures when we’re hanging out, I always hate it because I feel like I have to stop enjoying the moment to focus on the way I look for social media-and I think my friends feel the same way, too. But reimagining taking those pictures for ME to look back on 10, 20, 50 years from now, or for my future children and grandchildren to look back on, is such a beautiful perspective I’ve never fully considered before. It reminds me that enjoying the moment is what should be captured in the picture, instead of a superficial version of ourselves we think looks cool. Those are the photographs that will be cherished. I’m so ready to take more pictures now, lol. Love you both so much; thank you for being willing to share such intimate details of your lives! I learn a lot from you and look forward to The Sesh every week. 💕

Does that make any sense? I feel like I could have explained it better but that's a basic outline. Basically, to all the young people out there, enjoy your time! Do as much as you can, travel, fall in love, take photos and laugh loudly!!! Just live! Take every opportunity you can and put your heart and soul into it ❤️ let life lead you down weird and wonderful paths. When my grandma passed, we found a box way under her bed of all sorts of photos when she was young. She was born in 1919 so i'm guessing they were from the 30s or 40s. They loved just dressing up and posing in the backyard next to their flower bushes. so cute. I loved finding those.
Omg the spider dropping from the ceiling reminds me of two weeks ago when I was taking a shower and a giant cockroach fell from the vent 10cm from my face😖 I was NAKED AND AFRAID anyway I hope Kendall, Janelle and seshies are well and having a good time wherever you may be x 🌷
My nana and I (who I am named after) had only 5 years of life together. Idk how, but I managed to know just how special she was and spent so many beautiful moments with her. I was the only one out of the cousins that mentally processed her passing and actually cried at her funeral. I’m so grateful for that 🥺❤️
This is like the best episode ever! I’m at 55:39 and yes, it is SO relatable. I really needed a reminder to live in the moment, to enjoy family, and not stress so much about my day to day schedule. I had a spiritual reading a few months ago and my grandparents came through with a similar message- to live in the moment, be grateful, and a reminder of how fast life goes by. Y'all kept worrying about this being a sad or depressing episode but honestly this was one of my favorites!!! My dad just passed away last Wednesday and my sister and I have been going through ALL of his stuff and have found so many amazing pictures that just make me so happy to see. My 14 yr old daughter gets so annoyed with how many pictures I take of our adventures and stuff. She tells me to "live in the moment mom" but I would like to think one day far in the future that she will LOVE and appreciate all of these pictures and these memories being captured! 💗
I love this for you all. I grew up in such a toxic abusive family that the idea of going through family photos makes me soo anxious but I'm so glad you all got so much out of going through photos and videos of yours 🥰
i absolutely relate to never living in the moment. i'm exactly like you, kendall- i'm always thinking like, "oh, i have to get back home so i can do this" instead of just being where i am. i'm gonna work on it too!! let's do this!
I feel explaining to a child to cherish moments can be extremely hard. For me it was bittersweet because my parents were older when they decided to have me, so in turn I lost all my grandparents (minus my dads mom who lived to be 97 years old) before I even turned 10. So even though it was sad to lose them when I was so young, I was exposed to the reality of cherishing moments while you can at a young age so I have done so much to make sure I spend as much time with family and capture as many moments with friends and family so ill have those moments to share with future generations of my family. As a kid I always asked my parents to take me to Georgia for every summer break because I live in FL but my entire family (both my mom and dad's side) live in Georgia, so I could spend as much time with them as physically possible. I always feel like losing family when I was a kid was a blessing in disguise.

I love how this sesh ended with you guys talking about capturing more memories bcuz I feel the same exact way. Being the same age as Kendall and just getting older and living life, I want to remember the things I’m doing now when I’m way older and I can look back at all the fun things I did. I do hate how most ppl take pictures with Instagram in mind and it has to be “picture perfect” so I’ve been recording home videos with my camera for myself to watch and enjoy the memories ! But in a way you guys are capturing your memories by doing these podcasts and talking about life and what not (: I’m sure your older self will appreciate listening to these podcasts and remembering what your thoughts are about random things in your 20s and your kids will get to listen to these too! 😊
I was sitting on the toilet this morning and a giant spider ran out from under the sink towards me, too😂. We have one of those standing t.p. holders, and I was able to put that on top of the spider before it got to me. Hahaha

I can’t help but wonder how much stronger the urge to document special moments is for Kendall now that Holly is here. I know for myself I really started pushing pic and video session at family events for my kids to have. I started printing photo books for them with pregnancy.

I could not stop coughing in the beginning and now it’s slowly stopping but still I sound manish and like there’s liquid in my lungs… not COVID positive though… so now I’m thinking I may have to get meds too. My husband and I were going through it man! This mercury retrograde is kicking our asses!

I went to a music festival this weekend and just like the last one I went to a couple years ago, I was tearing up on the way home wishing I had more carefree joyful moments and being jealous of those around me who were. I was really bossy and annoying towards my boyfriend and I feel really bad.. I called my therapist and I'm going to start going again tomorrow. Gotta have those bad moments to grow

My boyfriend and I just lost his grandmother (she was only 62 and more like his mom) that we lived with for several years to cancer. We made memory boards for the service and seeing the photos of her when she was younger than me (I’m 29) was so surreal. It’s so cool that your grandparents filmed so much, family is so precious 🥺❤️

My cousin was a nurse in a emergency room and a woman came in with her leg swollen and hurting it looked a huge pimple so they cut it open and had hundreds of baby spider's crawling out and had to call over the intercom for maintenance to bring bug spray to the emergency room
I think the best way to have kids enjoying being kids, is to be very involved in their lives every day. I always loved hanging out with my grandparents and my family when i was young and still now when im 21, because they were always so fun to be around. my dad would always play with me, and we would spend entire summers at my grandmas house. it was all very fun and i consider my childhood to be one with few regrets ♡ just be there with your children, and have them spend a lot of time with family and loved ones!

So even though it was sad to lose them when I was so young, I was exposed to the reality of cherishing moments while you can at a young age so I have done so much to make sure I spend as much time with family and capture as many moments with friends and family so ill have those moments to share with future generations of my family. As a kid I always asked my parents to take me to Georgia for every summer break because I live in FL but my entire family (both my mom and dad's side) live in Georgia, so I could spend as much time with them as physically possible. I always feel like losing family when I was a kid was a blessing in disguise.

I love how this sesh ended with you guys talking about capturing more memories bcuz I feel the same exact way. Being the same age as Kendall and just getting older and living life, I want to remember the things I’m doing now when I’m way older and I can look back at all the fun things I did. I do hate how most ppl take pictures with Instagram in mind and it has to be “picture perfect” so I’ve been recording home videos with my camera for myself to watch and enjoy the memories ! But in a way you guys are capturing your memories by doing these podcasts and talking about life and what not (: I’m sure your older self will appreciate listening to these podcasts and remembering what your thoughts are about random things in your 20s and your kids will get to listen to these too! 😊
The fact that the intro is a spider attack when I LITERALLY was attacked by two spiders yesterday.. the world is a trip.
I was sitting on the toilet this morning and a giant spider ran out from under the sink towards me, too😂. We have one of those standing t.p. holders, and I was able to put that on top of the spider before it got to me. Hahaha

I can’t help but wonder how much stronger the urge to document special moments is for Kendall now that Holly is here. I know for myself I really started pushing pic and video session at family events for my kids to have. I started printing photo books for them with pregnancy.

So I watch you guys every single night while i work because i work from home and i like never comment BUT my great grandma was one of my favorite people in the world. I was blessed enough to have her until i was in college and i related so much to this. She was born in 1924 and throughout her life they took so many pictures and then videos later on and Im just sending so much love. Crying and smiling at the same time. Omg!! Janelle’s symptoms sound like mine and my husbands right now. We’ve been coughing for like a month, I swear. I could not stop coughing in the beginning and now it’s slowly stopping but still I sound manish and like there’s liquid in my lungs… not COVID positive though… so now I’m thinking I may have to get meds too. My husband and I were going through it man! This mercury retrograde is kicking our asses!

Omg Kendall. The way you described how you can't enjoy the moment because of your anxiety are literally words straight out of my mouth. I went to a music festival this weekend and just like the last one I went to a couple years ago, I was tearing up on the way home wishing I had more carefree joyful moments and being jealous of those around me who were. I was really bossy and annoying towards my boyfriend and I feel really bad.. I called my therapist and I'm going to start going again tomorrow. Gotta have those bad moments to grow

My boyfriend and I just lost his grandmother (she was only 62 and more like his mom) that we lived with for several years to cancer. We made memory boards for the service and seeing the photos of her when she was younger than me (I’m 29) was so surreal. It’s so cool that your grandparents filmed so much, family is so precious 🥺❤️

Although to you guys this episode may have felt a lil sad I really appreciated it. I’m 17 years old and this episode just had me thinking so much about taking in my teenage years before their gone and capturing more moments without constantly thinking about social media, and this is definitely one of my favorite episodes you guys have done!
My cousin was a nurse in a emergency room and a woman came in with her leg swollen and hurting it looked a huge pimple so they cut it open and had hundreds of baby spider's crawling out and had to call over the intercom for maintenance to bring bug spray to the emergency room

I think the best way to have kids enjoying being kids, is to be very involved in their lives every day. I always loved hanging out with my grandparents and my family when i was young and still now when im 21, because they were always so fun to be around. my dad would always play with me, and we would spend entire summers at my grandmas house. it was all very fun and i consider my childhood to be one with few regrets ♡ just be there with your children, and have them spend a lot of time with family and loved ones!

I think it is safe to say all of us have been extra sensitive the last few weeks don’t worry about the tears 🤣 we will with you. But I get that feeling you felt. When we were doing my dads video and boards for his memorial it was emotional but so therapeutic. Lots of laughs and cries.

My grandparents have photos from their lives. I wish we had video! But I bawl when I look through them. I miss my grandparents and it makes my heart truly hurt that my sons didn't really get to know my grandparents. They were everything to me. 💯💕
