Oh yeah, because then they’ll know what the fuck is happening and give their opinions and utilize their skills in the situation. Wanting women to not be educated SCREAMS insecurity within these guys. If there is an emergency that person is unable to get off of the aircraft. An example of restraining a passenger is using seat belt extensions to tie their hands or feet together. (I’ve personally had to do this my first day on the job). 🥴

    I actually love Janelles openness with not showering every day... especially with depression it's SO HARD to get the motivation to take care of myself. Some weeks are better than others, but I have always struggled with this my whole life when i go through phases where I genuinely can barely get in the shower. Normalize not showering everyday!!! Also especially if I don't do or go anywhere in a day!

    • @rrg69able
      @rrg69able 3 года назад +3

      Normalizing not showering and taking care of your self only makes depression worse. You literally have to force yourself to get up and do those things so you start to feel better. Sunshine, exercise, vitamins and eating right is natural depression killers. I have had depression for years and only felt better when I started to do those things. Medicine and pills makes depression worse. Doctors make money off us just by treating the symptoms and keeping us sick and unwell. If they healed us, they wouldn't make money.

    • @PurplePower71
      @PurplePower71 3 года назад +8

      @@rrg69able I don’t fully agree with you. It was not quite as simple as that for me and other people I know. I could not get out of bed. I couldn’t just force myself. I would sit there and cry because I wanted to so bad but it truly felt like the hardest task. I finally got on medication and it saved my life. I was scared for my life, but I am no longer scared because I have control of my life again! my medication gives me what I need to get out of bed to shower and get sunlight, which are all the things that do help you, but some people, like me need a little extra push and medicine was the answer for me. So what works for you doesn’t work for everyone else 💚 I’m just saying no one should be shamed for their shower habits because you never know what someone is going through!!

I was diagnosed when I was 27 and I was just like wtf??? I’m so young to be feeling like this! But I didn’t realize at the time that so many young people go through this at the same time. There are days when I can’t even get out of bed. Some people don’t understand and think I’m being “lazy”, but I also have made friends that also have chronic illnesses. i completely relate kendall, i have multiple diagnosed mental illnesses, chronic migraines, severe IBS that pretty much ebbs and flows whenever it pleases, etc. my anxiety feeds into my IBS and my IBS feeds into my anxiety (which is actually a pretty concrete biological phenomenon because tummies actually get TONS of neurotransmitter activity), and my chronic migraines can put me out for 3+ days which feeds into my MDD. it truly is shitty. but you get older and you get help and you gain better coping strategies. i’ve been watching you for YEARS now and seeing your journey even through you just mentioning your chronic illness here and there while also be such a force of change is so inspiring. you are simply the coolest.

    I also have severe chronic pain and reactivated epstein barr, however I've tried literally everything over the years and I have a pretty good sense of what habits I need to build into my routine to keep everything at bay. The biggest struggle I have these days is making sure that I'm implementing the things that I know work. I've been a vegetarian for years, but gluten and dairy cause me lots of inflammation which triggers my pain, so eating really cleanly is huge. Another thing has been yoga and regular physical movement. Making sure that my muscles and fascia are limber and flexible - I really believe that so much chronic pain is really the result of musculoskeletal adhesions, which is inevitable with how sedentary people are these days. And I find it isn't enough to work out for an hour once a day (though it's great to do that), you really need to be mindful that you are moving your body often throughout the day, it doesn't have to be strenuous. A standing desk helps me out because I spend so much time on my computer working. Meditation, deep belly breathing (always!), and drinking plenty of water are all also essential. When I'm good about doing all of these things together consistently, I am pain-free. Hopefully this helps someone who's dealing with chronic pain. It's not an easy thing to deal with, but when you start to feel better, you really appreciate the feeling of a pain-free body more than most.

    I'm with Janelle on showering. When I was younger I HAD to shower every day. Sometimes twice a day. But as I've gotten older my hair doesn't get greasy nearly as quick. I barely sweat. Not everyone needs to shower every single day.

  • @MrsBoogie002
    @MrsBoogie002 3 года назад +1

    Janelle I'm with you on most of your showering habits!!! When I worked outside the home I showered every morning before work to wake up and feel ready for my day, but now that I work from home I shower every few days usually. I find it's actually been WAY better for my skin and hair, and I find that I don't get stinky or need a shower as soon as I would have when I was leaving the home every day combating traffic, dealing with cranky customers and being on my feet all day. So I've learned that for me personally stress plays a big roll in whether or not I produce sweat or body odor in general. With that said, I do brush my teeth, change clothes, and put on deodorant and body spray daily and will wash the bits as needed between showers. 😉🤣 ..... and my husband will attest that I would never push it to the point of being gross or stinky. I'm actually pretty conscious of that and have anxiety and worry about that kind of thing so I really do feel like some people can get away with no showers longer. 🤷‍♀️ I've never been a sweaty or oily person, and in fact I have eczema which runs in my family and extremely dry skin plus I live in Minnesota, so for me showering every day can create bigger issues for my skin and hair health.
    Aside from that, I can't imagine not using a loofah of some sort! I use the shower gloves from the dollar store and change them super often. Gotta feel that exfoliation feeling, otherwise I don't feel clean! Use bar soap only! And I alternate between baths and showers and I only usually shave my legs in the bath since I can get the hard to reach places easier while sitting. 😉 Plus find it opens the pores more and makes for a better, smoother shave when the soaked your skin in the water a while. Also, I'M SO ON BOARD WITH THE COLD SHOWERS and I am so glad I'm not alone!!! My husband takes scolding hot showers and when we shower together we're constantly changing the temp.....lol. I totally do the same as Corelli, I start out with warm enough water to enter the shower then gradually make it cooler. I find I get too hot anyway, and I also HATE the feeling of a steamy bathroom after a shower so I like to minimize that. I also know that ending in a cold shower closes your pores and is better for your skin so I guess it's become a habit.....lol.
    Anyway, why the hell did I find this shower quiz the most entertaining!?!?!? 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I guess I had a lot to say about that topic.....lol.
