I have a Dreame D9 and I can confirm the map is saved after the whole apartment has been mapped. Maybe you have a previous release of the app / robot firmware. Thank you for your test!
I have S5 (downstairs vac) and S5 Max (downstairs mop) and then purchased Dreame 9 because it has a bigger dust box to replace S5 downstairs and put S5 upstairs. I will be returning the Dreame 9 because it was nightmare in comparison. My S5 with side brush has no problems on low pile rug while S5 Max's new side brush does seem to get stuck. Dreame is the worst where main brush gets stuck and stops . After resetting it forgets where it was up to and restarts and goes over where it has already been so battery runs out before it has vacuumed the whole house. To avoid getting stuck I created a no go zone but it doesn't take any notice and keeps going on the rug. When it's low on battery it can't find it's dock. My other 2 vacs do not have the same issue. Dreame also does not clean as well. I have cats and after vacuuming I find clumps of cat hair all over the floor (I have hard floors). So, overall it has been a big disappointment. It's going back. So, now considering another S5 Max or S7. Thinking S5 Max because I know it's good and parts are interchangeable with my other vacs. Thinking S7 because of the auto emptying dock but main brush is different. Not sure all other parts are interchangeable with my other vacs. Any suggestions?
Thank you very much for the comparison. Very good work. Now that I have the Roborock S5 MAX add several points: - Roborock step priority option and option to customize for each room a suction force ( Dreame not available) Example: First go to the kitchen with Maximum, second go to the bathroom with Turbo. - Roborock allows zoom in on prohibited areas or barriers (much easier design) - Roborock's mop is a bad design. As the ends of the mop are at different levels, the hoover will mark the wheels on the floor if you wet the mop too much. - In Dreame the water system is much bad, even at maximum level it is very difficult to wet the mop. The first few meters it leaves the 3 marks of the 3 water dispensers of the tank. - In Dreame the water system does not allow to cancel the water in the tank to mop dry, there is always the option of little water. In Roborock you can cancel the water in the tank. In general terms, I agree that Roborock is a better vacuum cleaner.
I have been looking at the S5 max, I have all tile floor but have a dog and there is always lots of hair (well when I don't sweep or mop often there is a lot) how will it handle pet hair? i am sure I would have to clean it out often.
I found this review to be very useful. I was going to get a Dreame D9 but for a couple of hundred more I can get a S6 Pure....so that is the way I am going to go. Thank you.
@@CordlessVacuumGuide I wondered the same; at the 4:24 mark, look at the mound of sand all in one place for the d9, and the sand spread out more evenly for the RR when vacuuming in a Z pattern if debris for the d9 is a mound-like this o. And the sand for the RR is a line like this ---- the Z cleaning pattern will do better with the ----- of sand, giving the RR better results. I already know this observation will be discounted, but I wonder what the results would be if the test environments were equal.
@@ricke95126 I did the test several times and the results were similar for Dreame. The turns were wider versus Roborock's tighter turns and there isn't much overlap transitioning from edge to the middle areas, plus the flaps hinder the brush from making direct contact on debris. FYI I bought the S5 Max, and Dreame was sent to me. If I was being biased I would have the opposite results, but I do base my reviews on a variety of tests.

I had the 360 S9 which was great but it, was having issues with the brush getting stuck when I called roborock about the S6 maxv they told me that they changed the software to slow the brush down. How is possible that Dreame 9 has less CFM than the Roborock if it description says it has 3000 PA? It shouldn't be higher cfms compared to the other ones?

Thanks for sharing Toni. For Dreame I'd go with the highest water setting the other two takes too long to aaturate the.pad.

The S4 Max is the best of the three with long strands of human hair. But you'll need to clean the brush roll regularly as part of the maintenance.

Hopefully, I'll be able to compare these vacuums soon.

thank you for great job! Only one thing needs improving - the microphone, cause you sound like talking from barrel.
