I watch your videos on a 25 inch HD screen with stereo speakers. Each one I've watched is more awe inspiring than the last one. You've seen and done things that few people have ever done or seen. Thanks for the time and energy you've taken to catalog your journeys so the rest of us less traveled humans can share a small part of your adventures... .
I’ve looked this up. We should nominate Simon for the Order of Canada award. Outstanding promotion of our country through film, documentaries, commentary and photography. Very few people have gone to such lengths to show others the beauty, depth and breadth of our CANADA. I’m serious folks.
I think you are the only person on the planet...this side anyway... That shares this amazing content and journey. Your body must be running 110% efficiency! I honestly don't know how you do it. You deserve 10 million subs!
Amazing clip Forest. This is the reason I am a patreon patron, to see more content like this! I encourage all who can afford it to chip some money in so we can continue to get great content from a great guy!
Me too :). I'm all the way over here in Australia....will probably never get to Canada , but through Foresty, we can all enjoy the Real country he loves
My wife and I have been to NFLD twice for several weeks but never seen the extent of beauty you have. Labrador HWY next? Wonderful video, best I have ever seen. THANKS!!
2600km, just over a month, on a fat tyre bike? Holy Smokes Batman! Well done Foresty, that's amazing. I can see why my fellow Irish folks settled here, open plains, nice scenery.
Do you ever get lost? Hah, I'm sure you have over a hundred times easy and a hundred times more in the future. That's when most people panic and quit, yet somehow, every time, you keep on going, and that is the most badass thing! You are the most interesting person in the world.
Oh man! Cannot say thank you enough-missing my Mom something terrible, she grew up there, in St. John’s, I cannot make it there yet so Ive been online looking for a way to see the things she told me of-I’ve been following your van info and bam here you are in Newfoundland-surreal -this was a unique perspective that I deeply appreciated, I could see the paths she and her family walked, the bays she spoke of the weather, water, people- oh man the old folk are incredibly funny and resilient- I agree with another comment we want to hear more of your take on things throughout. 💜 you brought comforts to this grieving heart I am very grateful ⛰
Loved it but wished you added some more of your own commentary like in the last one :) keep adventuring. Appreciate the inspiration to get out there and adventure!!!
I laughed when you kicked over the rock sculpture because every time I see one of these that's what I want to do. I just can't bring myself to do it. Next time I'm going to give it a try and see if I feel better (or worse).
It was in late May of 1991 that we drove up the western arm of Newfoundland from Port aux Basques. Cornerbrook, Rocky Harbor and all. The boat into Western Brook Pond and a hike up and over Gros Morne before it was a national park for which we had to prove to the ranger that we had the right equipment and knew how to use it. Driving on roads that had only very recently been goat tracks between outlying villages once reachable only by ferry. Seeing groups of locals parked alongside the road congregated together watching moose and caribou. We met people who had never met an American before. A Parks Canada crew clearing the snow out of a campsite for us and another Parks Canada crew who rescued us when we accidentally left our headlights on during a day hike. They arrived moments after we returned because they saw the truck in the morning and knew how long it would take us to get back. Camping at Trout River before the campsite was officially open. Camping at Berry Hill the same way and never being turned away. And the mosquitoes. Jeezus freaking Christ. The mosquitoes. Thanks for bringing that all back.
JeffinBville Hey that sounds like great memories. A lot has changed since then! It's a very beautiful province with lots of opportunity for exploration. While I was there I had a job offer, kind of regret not taking it and staying for a while.
Wow!! What a fantastic journey. I love the story near the end about the child and the candy. Also those people posing for your photo. They looked like aliens 😁. Thank you so much for sharing your journeys. ❤❤❤
The best video I've seen in a while. Looked like a fatbike was a good bike to have in many spots. Seemed like an epic adventure and the scenery was beautiful. I thoroughly enjoyed the video.
Awesome scenery Mr Forest. Come and Pedal Australia. Allow 1 year to see some of it. My girlfriend and I did it in 2015-16. Your fat bike will be perfect
A gem like this deserves revisiting every now and then, foresty I say with your increased popularity you buy an ultra fancy fat bike and do a foresty bike tour 2.0 era
Rocky, Boggy and Foggy, all sorts in this trip. Beautiful island is quite rugged. Thanks for sharing, I have met a few Newfies when in Toronto and recognised some of the placenames they had mentioned, so nice to see them in your video
Fuuuuuck! Where to start? There is so much beauty in this video. I know I’ve said it before but you put in incredible amount of effort into making these videos! Absolutely amazing! Never quit being who you are!
Hi Forest, a friendly request... could you do a voice version of this video. Your current videos are very educational with narration. I am from Newfoundland, and your narration as an outsider may make us aware of things we take for granted .... love your videos... just a tip to make this particular video better!!!!
I love the Canadain maritimes and spent 4 summers sailboat cruising up there. Often thought of going back for some bicycle touring especially the Cabot loop, Newfoundland and Labrador. I can't say enough about the Canadians - I guess my having spent 12 summers up there sailing, bicycle touring backpacking and paddling says it all! A great people and a great country.
Wow awesome video, it's so rugged and beautiful over there. Also great synthwave soundtrack! This was the last of your videos I needed to watch. I now can say I watched each and every one. Good luck on a great new winter season!
Awesome video, you even managed to find people speaking intelligible English. I went there many years ago, I never realized the size of this island. From the ferry in the southwest it's a full day's drive to st John's in the northeast
Forestry Forest you’re a legend! You must have been smashing a lot of polar bear poop with those fat tires. That school bus cabin looked like it was built for spring break thrasher parties
Foresty: Now I gotta go there and see this country, Nice vid. My father was stationed @ Goose Bay, Labrador, I have fond memories as a kid of the tundra. Beautiful country!
Yeah and really isolated up there. Hard to believe the roads were only fully connected by 2010. Would love to explore a little more but the distances are really huge.
Fourth thanks so much for your videos old part Mountain Parker here wow you ride in some hard to Pedal places I know you must check your fun meter now and then thanks so much
Loved the video but I found the music a bit tedious after a while. Like you I'm fed up seeing these manmade cairns on every hill in Scotland, and like you I delight in kicking them down!
Hell ya. I was thinking to myself why are there almost no videos of biking in NL and then I found yours after having already watched your southwest US videos. Thank you sir.
I was trying to imagine what it would be like growing up in such place. To be able to call it all home. And all u see is young people living it behind for the big cities. Very sad! Your work in this video and your character put into it deserve my 👍🏻 and a👏🏻 and definitely a lot of 🤣
I really love your videos. You really inspire me to do more on my bike. One little thing you should take a picture of the clip when your coming out of the fog to maticott that's an awesome shot.
Settles in for awesome music and scenery. Amazed the airline let you pack the dogs in with bike though ;) ETA... That looked a lot less fun than the last trip. The walking sections and the mossies looked a nightmare.
Just saw your renegade route and so I had to watch this route too. Again very impressed at your planning, determination, and sense of adventure. You were not kidding about the cabins here vs the ones in the U.S. I am sorry to say, we Americans are terrible at taking care of our country. Can't blame immigrants or others, it is because we are a bunch of spoiled brats who don't appreciate the beauty that we have. Have to say, I like your renegade music more, this music is just a little too techno for me. Great video and I will definitely see the rest of the series and have a safe trip, when you mention you were off on another trip is when I discovered all your biking videos.
I have two unused bottles at home, one from Alaska and one from Alberta. I should've just thrown one inside my bicycle box even though the airline didn't allow. I planned on buying another one in St. John's but I just thought, "shit, do I want three unused bottles of bear spray sitting in my room?" I only saw one bear in Newfoundland, but yeah having spray would've been smart.
I think bears get a bad rap. And sometimes they get sprayed when they should not be sprayed! But, yeah... better to have unused spray and be safe I suppose.
@@JesseDylanMusic If a bear is close enough to get sprayed, he's too damn close. They are powerful and unpredictable. Like people there are good one and the occasional bad one. Best viewed from a distance!
Welcome back! I was so excited to watch this new one but somehow I did not get the same awesome "No more Rat Race this is real! I am free out there" kind of feeling as your older videos so I turned the sound off and played your original videos at the background. I wish you stick to what makes you so unique, this soundtrack made your videos sound so commercial, just like everybody else kind of thing... being different is what made your videos so special.
I watch your videos on a 25 inch HD screen with stereo speakers. Each one I've watched is more awe inspiring than the last one. You've seen and done things that few people have ever done or seen. Thanks for the time and energy you've taken to catalog your journeys so the rest of us less traveled humans can share a small part of your adventures... .
Helping the bird find the right window with just a few nudges was very nice and well done, he was like "hey, thanks" and went right on his way
I’ve looked this up. We should nominate Simon for the Order of Canada award. Outstanding promotion of our country through film, documentaries, commentary and photography. Very few people have gone to such lengths to show others the beauty, depth and breadth of our CANADA. I’m serious folks.
I wonder how many mosquito bites hes had in his life
He is an amazing person
No one can ever accuse you of taking the easy route. Great views of our most eastern province.
I think you are the only person on the planet...this side anyway... That shares this amazing content and journey. Your body must be running 110% efficiency! I honestly don't know how you do it. You deserve 10 million subs!
And he makes the music
Forest posted the name of the ones that created the music
Amazing clip Forest. This is the reason I am a patreon patron, to see more content like this! I encourage all who can afford it to chip some money in so we can continue to get great content from a great guy!
Thank you. Hoping to get out on some small bikepacking trips this summer.
Me too :). I'm all the way over here in Australia....will probably never get to Canada , but through Foresty, we can all enjoy the Real country he loves
Always a treat Foresty.
My wife and I have been to NFLD twice for several weeks but never seen the extent of beauty you have. Labrador HWY next? Wonderful video, best I have ever seen. THANKS!!
What an "AMAZING LIFE" you have Foresty. I can't thank you enough for sharing these beautiful videos. 🙏🐻🐜🐝🐟🐞🐏🌲🌳🌾🐿🍀🌳
2600km, just over a month, on a fat tyre bike? Holy Smokes Batman! Well done Foresty, that's amazing. I can see why my fellow Irish folks settled here, open plains, nice scenery.
3,000km counting going back for the camera a few hundred times.
Love seeing people explore my homeland.
Brilliant work. Amazing footage. Perfect captions. Ideal music choices. I'm so impressed. Thanks for sharing.

Iam sure very few will ever experience NFLD the way you did. Beautifully documented adventure.

Did a similar trip last summer! It's awesome to see this wonderful scenery again! What an awesome province. Happy travels!
Absolutely fantastic video. I enjoyed every minute. Thank you .(Henry)
Thanks!
This deserves 100x the views
Even this old video still rocks in 2020.. =) Thanks for sharing it FF!
Loved it but wished you added some more of your own commentary like in the last one :) keep adventuring. Appreciate the inspiration to get out there and adventure!!!
Thanks man, I'll keep that in mind.
How are you like that bike now that you've used it a lot?
Yeah, I like the commentary
4th know-it-all cannot be perfect wish you would show some bike miltat functions chain issues things like that that always don't go perfect
Wow, great video and music, I enjoy every minute of it. TNL is a really beautiful place. Thank you for sharing your adventure.
Thanks, glad you liked it.
wish I found this video of yours sooner, thank you for inspiring me to travel NL all over again! great work mate!
I laughed when you kicked over the rock sculpture because every time I see one of these that's what I want to do. I just can't bring myself to do it. Next time I'm going to give it a try and see if I feel better (or worse).
Those old dudes in the yellow jackets were a hoot! This whole production is just so so good! You are a force of Nature Foresty Forest aka Simon.
Absolutely Incredible Foresty 🌱💪🖤
Loved that adventure and can’t wait to discover another of your amazing bike trips!

The old Foresty "sound tracks" are awesome. More music like this in your new videos dude!! Always an inspiration, keep it up!
The best video I've seen in a while. Looked like a fatbike was a good bike to have in many spots. Seemed like an epic adventure and the scenery was beautiful. I thoroughly enjoyed the video.
On the T'railway it was perfect. Thanks, glad you liked it.
Has a real 80's CBC vibe to it.
Dude! Love all of the adventures, old ones to the current ones. Keep them coming.
Awesome scenery Mr Forest. Come and Pedal Australia. Allow 1 year to see some of it. My girlfriend and I did it in 2015-16. Your fat bike will be perfect
On average, the friendliest people I have ever met were in Newfoundland.
Simply amazing.
Thanks, Newfoundland has some fun trails and hiking, people were super friendly too.

Once again you did it! Awesome video buddy
Thanks Francho.
You are a true nature adventurer. Love your videos
My home! This is where I do all my fat biking!
YOU ARE REEEEALLY TUFF PHYSICALLY AND MENTALLY: INTEGRITY FLOURISHES!!!!

You kicked my rocks bro!
Haha was that yours?
I work very hard to create rock art out in dull boring endless nature. I had that piece insured though so no worries!
But why?? 😯
I'm gonna kick back and watch this. I'm expecting to see some of my backyard. :-)
Great video, shows the true beauty of the island that many people don't get to see. Great video foresty forest.
That's amazing man. I've done that trip several times on an ATV. I love it there.
Hi Forest, a friendly request... could you do a voice version of this video. Your current videos are very educational with narration. I am from Newfoundland, and your narration as an outsider may make us aware of things we take for granted .... love your videos... just a tip to make this particular video better!!!!
I really have to do the narration while in the moment. Unfortunately i was scared of talking on camera back when i made these bike videos.
I cringed at the clip with all of those mosquitoes
Wow awesome video, it's so rugged and beautiful over there. Also great synthwave soundtrack! This was the last of your videos I needed to watch. I now can say I watched each and every one. Good luck on a great new winter season!
Great video, great edit, fantastic music... Excellent stuff!
Love how you try to stick to little trails and bush. That’s what we would do too. 😊
The photography's very good
Awesome video, you even managed to find people speaking intelligible English. I went there many years ago, I never realized the size of this island. From the ferry in the southwest it's a full day's drive to st John's in the northeast

that 3 hour climb uphill through the rough...man.
It was pretty fun, couldn't have done it without GPS though.
you my dude are insane! I am jealous with all your adventures and make me want to get a fat bike and tour around in my own country too. great tour!
The old guys asking if you have a handgun 😂 oh the parts of Canada I have yet to see
I’m from Newfoundland 👍 great videos man !
I know that must take time to set up shots Thankyou...
Heck yeah! It's even more work than I thought. He definitely puts a lot of work into getting great shots of him riding.
it isn't surprising foresty became vanlifer from looking these older videos. he is a explorer down earth :D
You've come a long way, buddy. Kudos to you.
Parabéns para você ciclista você ciclista merece ciclista
Great job, nice adventure!
You have found your calling for sure.
Good job! I’m thinking of fatbiking Nepal. Watching your clips for pointers. Great scenery and your videos have come a long way!!!!
Fourth thanks so much for your videos old part Mountain Parker here wow you ride in some hard to Pedal places I know you must check your fun meter now and then thanks so much
Bear spray ? No.
Got a gun? No.
😂 you ran wild back in the day 😂
Loved the video but I found the music a bit tedious after a while. Like you I'm fed up seeing these manmade cairns on every hill in Scotland, and like you I delight in kicking them down!
they are a helpful guide in fog and cloud in the UK. what he kicked down isn't a cairn.
Soundtracks is awesome!👍
Gotta love that synthwave

Really good videos, thorouly enjoying them. Thanks for sharing
Really digging the oldies!!! Yo da man. 👍😉🇨🇦🔥
Love your great smile and sense of humor! 😘😘💞
Awesome stuff Foresty! Cheers man! You're a legend!
Settles in for awesome music and scenery. Amazed the airline let you pack the dogs in with bike though ;)
ETA... That looked a lot less fun than the last trip. The walking sections and the mossies looked a nightmare.
It was a never ending bog. Rubber boots were essential.
Love your videos!
Thanks!
Great Video, looking forward to more.
Beautiful scenery

No bear spray? Just because you were lucky, doesn't mean it was a good idea. Looks like a blast, though. Thanks for putting this together.

Beautiful sceneries!.

Thanks for the input. I kind of just wanted to show the ride this time around. Maybe on the next one I'll bring back the commentary.
I like the music! But yeah, I miss the commentary as well.
The 80's called and said let that music die.
What a great place to ride just awesome Country 💯🇺🇸❤️
Gettin fancy with the music.
