    Black Mafia Life is one of my all time favourite Hip Hop albums.ATL have always been under appreciated for what they did for the West coast hip hop sound.Cold 187 was one of,if not thee 1st producer to use that G Funk sound.He was using it before Dre used it on his ‘93 album ‘The Chronic’,I know that much.
    EDIT-I typed this before watching the upload obviously,because I could have saved my time as they pretty much jumped straight into that.About time though,it took long enough for Cold 187 to get that credited on a mainstream show like Sway in the morning but better late than never.

    • @theonesugafrizzle9251
      @theonesugafrizzle9251 7 лет назад

      +LaCheleWallace I say it because there are no filler type songs. Each track is as good as the last. The Chronic does have more memorable songs but a couple songs on there are not as memorable at the entire product. 2001 is where I think Dre showed his ass off. Very few west coast albums are on that level. Another and better example of a perfect album in my eyes.

    I had no idea Cold 187um was Dre's Protégé, I always placed him on par with Dre in so far as having his own sound and what not. That really changed the game it comes full circle, keeping in mind Warren G learned from Cold 187um and Dre, Warren said so himself. It also explains the ATL connection with Snoop!

      DJ Quik wasn't on that hard ass gangsta shit tho!
      Quik was on some slick pretty boy fuckin' the hoes type shit!
      Quik's main quarrel was against the women or hoes!
      Anyway, Quik's sound was or is simply redress funky shit!
      It's not G Funk.

      The One I knew he had something to do with it, tho I was being somewhat sarcastic. That's cool tho, I didn't remember if he produced it all or not.
