Amazing trip report. Would be great if air nz added a premium option for a couple seats at the front. There would definitely be people who would pay extra for In-flight entertainment and bigger seats.

Thanks! Yeah something up front of the A320's would be good. Not much point in IFE when flights are so short.

Great trip report, always interesting flying on a turbo prop!
As an Australian i've always been amazed at how many flights in NZ don't require formal security screening! Similarly some small regional Australian regional airports don't have screening but at any big capital city airport if your going through a main terminal you'd generally go through security regardless of where your flying or what plane your going to be on. I think in NZ i read anything up to 90 seats didn't need security so that's a lot of Air NZ ATR 72's separated from the A320s at airports like Wellington

Correct about the 90 seats. The CAA are currently reviewing it but they've been on and off reviewing it for a long time. It's great not having to go through security!
