Here’s the context: Grant/Sebastian threw a slushy at Kurt in glee, to which Blaine protected him and took the slushy. The slushy had rock salt in it which scratched Blaine’s eye and now everyone’s basically super upset about it. Also, S3 warblers are nothing like the warblers we know and love in S2.

Fun fact, the two musicians playing in the background are a group called 2Cellos and this is their version of Smooth Criminal. They also have an awesome Thunderstruck cover.
it's intense bc he just almost blinded Blaine who had to have surgery. Santana was trying to get the evidence. Just for background! The cellists rocked that entire song 🖤
I’d love to see you cover Glee’s “At the Ballet” with Naya, Lea, Chris, and Sarah Jessica Parker. Because it’s gorgeous. And I think the harmonies and arrangement will ring so well with you. Other one is the acapella of “how will I know” from the Whitney Houston tribute episode with amber Riley (Mercedes), Chris colfer, lea, and naya.
The guys playing the cello's also have a pretty popular RUclips channel called 2CELLOS. They were doing especially well around the time Glee was filmed/aired, so that's why they were invited to play in this scene :)
This is my favorite duet in glee ever!!! Also they’re both gay, which makes this the scene with the most sexual tension with 2 gay characters and I was obsessed with this cover since forever!!! Rip Naya ❤️
I love Grant so so much. As a person, actor, singer, etc. I'm so happy for him and his family that has just expanded. I love that he's married to a Malaysian and is in support of all his cast members. I love all the work he's put into himself mentally, emotionally and physically. I'm so proud of all the progress he's made. What a lovely human. And Naya was a lovely human as well. What a beautiful soul that was taken from this earth too soon.

i’m not sure if you’ve reacted to this one yet, but another insane one vocally is the Dream On glee version by Matthew Morrison and Neil Patrick Harris. That one is just 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
The best and only cover from Glee I will ever listen to. Also, Psych has an awesome musical episode with a completely original soundtrack. It's SO good.
You should listen to Thriller/Heads Will Roll. Naya is one of the leads on the song along with Kevin McHale and it's an amazing song vocal wise for Santana, also Valerie
The context is that Sebastian went to slushie Kurt during "Bad" but Blaine jumped in the way and got slushied (Sebastian has a crush on Blaine and hates Kurt). Inside the slushie was rock-salt and Blaine had to get surgery for it. Santana goes to Dalton to figure out what was inside the slushie and records the conversation in order to get the Warblers kicked out of the competition. However they dont go through with it because they want to win against the Warblers and dont wanna punish all of them to get to Sebastian.
HANDS DOWN my fav thing glee has ever ever done. Period. No contest. It’s the only one I listen to regularly and not like when I’m on a “glee kick”. It’s just amazing. Naya was such a gift while she was with us.
Have you seen the Scrubs musical episode, they wrote they wrote music for the episode and then realised the music alone was longer than the entire episode. Also them getting medical terms into songs is really impressive.
Watching this episode of Glee, I never understood how two gay characters could have so much chemistry. Right at the end of the song when their faces are close together, I instantly think "okay, now kiss."
what makes this better is this scene is mostly improv. grant has said they arrived on set and the director gave them a general idea of what to do but they just went with it.
This is the scene that absolutely solidified glee’s spot in my brain forever, it’s the only song from the show that gets a spot in my regular playlists and I honestly prefer it to the original (a sin I know but damn those cellos do something to me!) so excited to see you react to this lol
I'm so sorry you're going through a difficult time Hannah, you are pure light, and every time I watch your videos, it reminds me that there's still light and joy out there, so thank you for that, and I hope you're available to find that in yourself as well. God bless you.
The "cello guys" are actually 2Cellos, they have their own YT channel, albums, they make covers of quite a lot of songs (AD/DC, A Song of Fire and Ice, etc) and they have toured a number of countries! They're awesome.
My favorite things in this song, in no particular order: 1. The sexual tension/chemistry between a lesbian and gay guy that outmatches some of the actual couples on the show 2. The VOCALS 3. 2Cellos absolutely rocking out in the background 4. The arrangement??? Is so good??? What the hell?? 5. Santana's OUTFIT 6. The frankly disgusting amount of sass in the room

i loved the way the way there voices sounded together, I wish we could have had more!
And hats off to the 2cellos. They're amazing
Which is also how they excused Darren Criss out of the show so he could be in "How to Succeed in Business"
Ty!!
"I'm trying not to ship it. They have chemistry, but Santana is gay." So is he, lol.
I’m sorry but I’m actually crying laughing at those last couple minutes of the video 😂😂 That’s such a gen z thing to just chuck a peace sign through the pain lmao
🤪✌🏻
🥴✌️
5:09 I haven't watched Glee yet so the first time I saw this clip for smooth criminal, I had the same reaction when he threw that drink-
This is also my favorite piece from Glee. I was feeling very sad about Naya's passing and wanted to hear her sing again. Your comments mirror mine as you listened for the first time and I listened for the millionth time lol. Such a treasure lost so young.
"There's chemistry there... Santana is gay, so there shouldn't be..."
SO IS HE!!
Tooooons Of Gays In Glee, thank God.
Both gays, both killing it, but Santana was better. No discussion.
*Drop the mic*
HAHAHAHAHAHA
Thanks for reacting to this, teacher!! You rock!! 🤘💚
I mean it plays into the 'theatre kids are gay' trope
Idk why I always imagine Naya as Becky cooper from season 1 of the flash bc of how good this serene was. They’re all so good
for me sebastien won
@@lelnel6242 its not just a trope. its fact. coming from a theatre kid. legit we have a little over 20 kids who do drama in my school.... only 6 straights i believe
1 gay guy + 1 gay girl = 1 closeted straight relationship. The math adds up.
You know that so much gay sexual tension and energy is just bound to overflow into a regretful night in no-man's land...
Hanna *trying to voice how she feels about the intensity of this scene* : "she's wearing a fedora..."
Fun fact, the two musicians playing in the background are a group called 2Cellos and this is their version of Smooth Criminal. They also have an awesome Thunderstruck cover.
They also did a cover of Supermassive Black Hole with Naya
it's intense bc he just almost blinded Blaine who had to have surgery.
💯 yes!!!
Yes! How Will I Know is one of my all time favorites!!!!
Yessssss
The guys playing the cello's also have a pretty popular RUclips channel called 2CELLOS.
They were doing especially well around the time Glee was filmed/aired, so that's why they were invited to play in this scene :)
I love 2Cellos
She was a true hero. I can’t believe that she managed to save her son rip :(
The cellists are the 2Cellos. They're brilliant dueling cellists. Adding Naya and Grant in there was an added bonus to what they did with the song.
That belt is why I love this cover.
As a Brit, Glee made me think that slushies in the face was a real-life everyday problem in the US.
If you slushied someone, you'd probably get punched. And the puncher would get away with it, it'd be self-defense.
LMFAO- thankfully not!!
swear tv has given me the weirdest view of the US 😭
😂😂😂😂
as a Canadian, me too lol
Best duet in all of Glee hands down! And the cellists are 2CELLOS known for being very intense lol
"I will not be taking questions at this time." don't worry, we weren't going to. We completely agree with you.
nah cuz i always loved this one sosososo much and never understood why no one talked abt it PURELY bcof naya’s vocals bro legit chills EVERY TIME i love her sm omg shes so cool
This and River Deep Mountain High are my favorite duets from Glee.
Ah, yes. Or alternatively, that time where the two gay characters got more chemistry than literally more than half of the straight ships.
i’m not sure if you’ve reacted to this one yet, but another insane one vocally is the Dream On glee version by Matthew Morrison and Neil Patrick Harris. That one is just 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
@@openpage5294 What the hell
@@what-pw8gd they're a bot account, just report them for spam and ignore
she totally won this one, but I feel like with his voice, this wasn't really the greatest song to show it off
But it definitely was for her and she was the one to bring up the duel.
ikr the whole song he was just singing fast and background to her voice, i've heard way better of grant
I think a really good song for him was running home to you in the flash.
True, but he still rocked it with Santana
I was gonna study, but Hannah reacting to Smooth Criminal is way more important
The Cellists are The “Two Cellos” duo. They’re already a thing together lol
The best and only cover from Glee I will ever listen to.
Also, Psych has an awesome musical episode with a completely original soundtrack. It's SO good.
I have mentioned Psych also!!! Can’t wait for #3!!
the britney spears (im pretty sure it was a britney song) cover quinn, brittany, and santana did was really good though
Listen to river deep and rumour had it! They're also great and have the same singer naya
PLEASE REACT TO DARREN'S "COUGH SYRUP", "SOMEWHERE ONLY WE KNOW" AND "AGAINST ALL ODDS" I LOVE THOSE PRESENTATIONS SO MUCH!!! LITERALLY MY FAVORITES
You should listen to Thriller/Heads Will Roll. Naya is one of the leads on the song along with Kevin McHale and it's an amazing song vocal wise for Santana, also Valerie
I LOVE this one
I really loved this scene and I am so amazed by both of them but serious props to the cellists in their performance
That was my favourite song on glee!!! It was amazing!! that chemistry, the voices, the cello? OMG love it! i still watch this scene from time to time
The context is that Sebastian went to slushie Kurt during "Bad" but Blaine jumped in the way and got slushied (Sebastian has a crush on Blaine and hates Kurt). Inside the slushie was rock-salt and Blaine had to get surgery for it. Santana goes to Dalton to figure out what was inside the slushie and records the conversation in order to get the Warblers kicked out of the competition. However they dont go through with it because they want to win against the Warblers and dont wanna punish all of them to get to Sebastian.
dont forgot how santana taped the recorder to her underboob
@@pennyvivian ah yes
So glad you reacted to this one, this is literally the crown gold scene of Glee. Season 3 was just the pinnacle overall
We love you Hannah! Hoping and wishing you strength and future happiness through this time. Thank you so much for doing what you do ♥️
Smooth Criminal is incredible!! So happy you're reacting to that song!!
True crime
Watching this episode of Glee, I never understood how two gay characters could have so much chemistry. Right at the end of the song when their faces are close together, I instantly think "okay, now kiss."
I think you would really like “Take Me or Leave Me” it’s a duet between Mercedes and Rachel and they both sound fantastic!
OMG YES
Sorry if i offend anyone but i truely hate Rachel's voice
@@Whitewolf1827 same
what makes this better is this scene is mostly improv. grant has said they arrived on set and the director gave them a general idea of what to do but they just went with it.
Fun fact! Glee got the band Two Cellos as the cellists! Huge fan and respect as a cellost myself! My favorite is thunderstruck by them.
“I think this might be my favorite thing that I’ve watched in glee, but in like a weird way that I can’t explain.”
Same Hannah, same
This is the scene that absolutely solidified glee’s spot in my brain forever, it’s the only song from the show that gets a spot in my regular playlists and I honestly prefer it to the original (a sin I know but damn those cellos do something to me!) so excited to see you react to this lol
They're awesome.
bro i cannottttt. the part that gives me chills is when they go into the chorus and grant switches from the melody to the harmony so smoothly
My favorite things in this song, in no particular order:
1. The sexual tension/chemistry between a lesbian and gay guy that outmatches some of the actual couples on the show
2. The VOCALS
3. 2Cellos absolutely rocking out in the background
4. The arrangement??? Is so good??? What the hell??
5. Santana's OUTFIT
6. The frankly disgusting amount of sass in the room
The fact that all the moving and tension was all Naya and Grant that made this soooo good was 🤌🏼💋
“This whole scene has its own fandom” facts lol I ship it 🔥
This is the only Glee song I bought off of iTunes back in the day when it first came out. If I remember right, it actually charted pretty high after this episode came out
You should listen“Bad “and “Thriller/Heads will Roll”,it’s really really awesome! Naya and Kevin killed it.❤️
