True. It low key annoys me when people say one person is bad while another is good when at the end of they day they all have good and bad moments. Kinda like how the family shameless are all morally questionable. They all do horrible and good things. No ones good or bad all the time. I swear purple get annoyed when they characters are "boring and good" but hate it when they mess up. Like make up your mind! Ugh 😩 humanity.
Santana and Mercedes giving the best performances and getting robbed as usual. I wish they had more songs together their voices worked so well with each other
Sam is an absolute sweetheart if i remember rightly. He ends up quitting school to try and take care of his family as they're living out of a motel and parents are basically nowhere to be seen. He has a lot going on so definitely a character worth paying attention to. I felt the same on the first meeting though, had real shifty vibes from him but he turned out okay.
The thing I liked about Quinn this episode was that she was the only one that didn’t vote for herself or had another motive for voting. She voted for for the performance that she truly liked, which was Kurt.
Where did it say Quinn voted for Kurt? Four people had to vote for Sam/Quinn in order for them to have won by 2 votes. If Quinn voted for Kurt then Sam/Quinn would have had only 3 votes, therefore unable to have won by two votes since everyone voted for themselves.
@@suz2590 Honestly I really hated Mr. Shue and Finn in the seasons I watched. All of the characters were flawed, but I felt Quinn's good seemed to be more than her bad, whereas Finn and Mr. Shue's bad were more than their good
- Tina and Mike sang "Sing!" from "A Chorus Line". Also, Tina / Jenna Ushkowitz is really talented! I'm glad you acknowledged it. - Sam kinda turned out as one of the better guys in the show, but since it's Glee, there will be off-putting moments to his character. - Yessss, I think your eyes and the upper features of your face resemble Quinn / Dianna Agron a lot. - Finn called Kurt the 'f slur' in the 20th episode of season 1. He had a redeeming moment, but again, since it's Glee, he'll be toppled back to the lower bar. - Kurt really was the best male character except when he was biphobic at some point. - Mercedes and Santana killed it as always.
Honestly Kurt gave me more than biphobia as a negative - his and Blaine's relationship was really toxic at one point and he kind of treated Blaine like crap. But one of the better male characters for sure.
@@helloinspiration well duh. they’re glee characters. anyone who’s really focused on at all has their share of toxic moments. are kurt and blaine not equal in how much they fucked each other over? because blaine encouraging kurt to go to new york, cheating on him, visiting him early anyway and trying to blame it on him was lame and when he tried to “sneakily” try to make kurt gain weight because kurt felt good about himself after focusing on food and exercise and because people were giving him attention after he got beat up and put in the hospital was pretty high up there as far as manipulation in relationships on the show goes
Mercedes and Santana are snubbed a lot on the show that's one of the reasons why they did this duet together because they know they are technically two of the best voices in the Glee club

Yes to Ella Enchanted! Also Sam is one of the most likeable characters on the show. He has his flaws, like every character does in this show, but out of all of them I'd say he's probably the least problematic and also the sweetest. He's such a cinnamon roll! At least for the first few seasons he's in, then they turn him into brittney 2.0 (aka a huge himbo lmao) but even himbo Sam is a sweetheart.
I'm sure someone's mentioned the original performance of Happy Days are Here Again/Get Happy by Judy Garland and Barbra Streisand that they stuck incredibly close to - including Rachel/Barbra doing THE ACTUAL MOST. But holy shit, both versions get me right in my heart every time.
Amber Riley is one my favorite singers I've ever heard. I have to go back and listen to her singing 'I Will Always Love You' sometimes just because it's absolute perfection.
Another great Santana and Mercedes duet is Survivor/I Will Survive. Also would also recommend both Toxic performances, are they strange? Yes. Are they amazing vocally? Also yes.
You said “Rachel is doing the most”. I’m not sure if you are aware, but the duet with Kurt and Rachel, they are mimicking Judy Garland and Barbra Streisand on the Judy Garland Show. Almost completely copying the performance. If you haven’t seen it, you absolutely should. It’s pretty amazing 🙂 Also, I’m not sure if you’re aware of this either, but Glee went on a live tour. Both in 2010 and 2011. Lea Michele and Chris Colfer did this performance and sounded amazing! You can actually watch the Glee: The Concert Movie. It would be amesome to see you react to that!
I was really into Glee when I was younger (I had a lot of problems with it, but I was so in love with Kurt/Chris that I watched it almost to the end of the show just for him), so I remember watching a BTS clip of Naya Rivera talking about being anxious that River Deep wouldn't turn out well because she was used to singing lower arrangements on the show before that. To this day it's one Glee song I will never skip, which is really rare.
I personally feel this was when Kurt sang one of his best songs. And his range was like "I can go high what about you." You can't say your favorite character did what he did. He's just too good.
Firstly, Santana and Mercedes were 1000% robbed. Secondly, you should ABSOLUTELY react to Ella Enchanted. And thirdly, Sam is an okay dude. He just has his stupid moments haha
one episode you need to watch is in season two “brittany/britney” dont know whether thats how you spell it, but that is definitely one of my favourite episodes of glee, it has brittany singing in it, hence the title, but she sounds absolutely amazing! deffo recommend it.
Sam’s actually one of the shows best character (he did unfortunately have a super problematic moment in season 4 which I hate the writers for writing but other than that he’s great).
The writing in the last couple of seasons of Glee was pretty awful in general. The later in the seasons they got, the less the original showmakers were involved when it came to the script.
@@Aisha_Luv yeah what the comment above says. Ryder opened up about being molested when he was younger and Sam (& the other guys) all said he should be grateful or some shit because she was a hot older woman. And the writers didn’t even turn it into an opportunity for the guys to learn the errors of their ways (like the episode where the girls made fun of domestic abuse and it got turned into a teaching moment) like the guys never even apologised and as far as I can remember Mr Schue basically said nothing about how disgusting they were being. It was bad.
I love that you admire Kurt's voice! He's definitely one of the more popular/well liked characters on the show but I don't think he gets enough recognition for his voice!
I know Tina and Mike's duet wasn't technically on the same level as the others but it's still my favourite, it's just so much fun and both of them deserve to get highlighted
Just came here to say that Rachel and Kurt sang "Happy Days Are Here Again / Get Happy", a duet by Barbra Streisand and Judy Garland but they're also dressed as each singer (Rachel as Barbra, of course) and they did their mannerisms too, including the hand holding at the end!!
one of the best episodes musically tbh… from river deep mountain high (the best duet) to happy days, this episode honestly stands out as a fav of mine as well
Kurt and Blaine’s duet of “It’s Snowing Outside” I honestly so good their voices match each other in almost every duet they did and u should react to it :)
I skipped ALL THE WAY to River Deep Mountain High lmfao 😂 I have it saved to my phone and often play it when I’m doing dishes. I WISH they had Naya (Rest in Peace) and Amber do more duets. They to me were the best two singers and vocal BEASTS!
The song that Kurt sings is from a musical called Victor/Victoria where Julie Andrews plays a male and a female. And the song that Tina and Mike are singing is “Sing!” from the musical A Chorus Line 💗
Julie Andrews singing Le Jazz Hot is literal perfection with the only thing coming close being Chris Colfer singing it. Victor/Victoria is an amazing movie and Julie has some big shoes to fill, but Chris killed it.
Honestly, one of the few cringey/criminal performances by Mr Schu is his and NPH’s duet of “Dream On” and you should really react to it!! NPH’s vocals slay
Had a convo w a friend about this video. She said have you watched Hannah’s recent video on Glee and I hadn’t but she said she was being cute again and I said she’s good at that. Then I watched the video and said I’d marry that woman. My friend laughed and I said: Truly. Justice of the peace and lock it down fast cause she's the whole package. 🤓
I HAVE BEEN DYING FOR YOU TO REACT TO "RIVER DEEP!" I AM SO EXCITED!!! It is, quite literally, the best duet in the history of Glee. Not hyperbole. FACT. I will hear no arguments. Their harmonies on this are just perfection. Other thoughts: 1) Brit is HILARIOUS. She was originally brought on the show because they needed someone to teach a bunch of the cast the "Single Ladies" choreography and she used to be Beyonce's backup dancer. Her deadpan delivery made her a fan fave. (And her dancing is BANANAS.) 2) In Kurt I trust as well. The writers had him do some not cool stuff where Fin was concerned when Kurt's dad & Fin's mom got together, but overall, he's been my favorite. 3) Watching you react to Rachel singing the non-Broadway stuff made me realize why I've largely thought she didn't always sound great on the more pop tracks. I think it's because she always felt like she had to tone down her Broadway voice and it did not do her any favors. 4) Still totally unclear on why Amber Reilly is not a HUGE STAR with like a dozen #1 jams. Seriously. She's the BOMB. 5) Still angry M&S didn't win. They should have won. It was totally obvious that they outsang, outdanced and outperformed EVERYONE. 6) I still want you to react to Kurt singing "I Wanna Hold Your Hand." It doesn't entirely make sense in context but it's beautiful and one of his best vocals ever. I dare you not to cry. 7) I love Sam. As others have said, every character had their questionable moments but he was largely great. THAT REMINDS ME: you should react to Sam & Mercedes sing "Human Nature" by Michael Jackson. It's FANTASTIC. 8) You are 100% correct about Santana and Brit. They are one of what I consider the show's core OTPs. I have too many thoughts about Glee. For such a problematic show it takes up way too much space in my brain.
okay HANNAH YOU HAVE TO WATCH JAKE ZYRUS’S PERFORMANCE IN GLEE!!!! He played Sonny pre-transition! He sang Listen! One of the best covers i’ve ever heard!!! I remember watching it and hearing it on the tv…full body chills!
Glee!!! Best. Series. EVER! Quinn is 100% my favourite character and I adore her! She’s beautiful, got a lovely singing voice, she matured during her pregnancy, her voice is so soothing and everything about her makes me happy
Hannah! You should definitely react to more duets from Santana and Mercedes, the best ones according to me are: Rumour Has It/Someone Like you and I Will Survive/Survivor ❤️
Hearing you talk about Rachel's voice made me want to see your reaction to "torn". In season 4 Glee covered "torn" and it was a duet technically but it was with just Rachel. Mini spoiler alert, she goes through a makeover in season 4, so the duet is between old and new Rachel and it's so interesting because it sounds like two different people!
Kurt was decorating their shared room and Finn was like “what even is this f*ggy lamp or this f*ggy” wtv and Burt came down and yelled at Finn we stan burt Hummel
If you watch the original video of Barbara Streisand and Judy Garland singing "Happy Days Are Here Again" you'll see that Rachel was imitating Barbara and that's why she was really leaning into the song.
Fun fact with Kurt and Sam: They were originally planned to be a couple but Chord Overstreet (Sam) and Dianna Argon (Quinn) had worked together before and had chemistry that it was changed to Sam and Quinn.
I never would have thought about the Quinn thing, but once you put yourself side-by-side I could see it! Different coloring and facial structure, but similar lips and nose, and especially eyes. You don't need to compare yourself to Quinn though Hannah, you're absolutely stunning already. 😍 In addition to being hella talented. Incredible hair, gorgeous smile.
The Kurt/Rachel duet at the end always makes me emotional 😭 Kurt’s character in the first couple seasons is really sad and to me this is one of the first shining moments he gets and honestly one of the first humanizing moments that Rachel gets as well.
Hannah your videos are keeping me sane at the moment, my family is going trough a rough time as my dad has been diagnosed with cancer and the chemotherapy is hard for him and it's hard for all of us seeing him at his worst...Still we are there for him and will always be there for him...your videos keep me smiling druing this hard time and I am very thankful for that ❤️
FINALLY!!! I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THE DUETS EPISODE ITS MY FAVOURITE!! i think its the perfect episode to recommend to someone if they wanna see what glee is like because you get performance from a good portion of the cast and everyone gets a bit of a story. they confirm santana and britney and it's like the start of their very up and down relationship, rachel and finn don't get the spotlight the whole time, santana and Mercedes perform the best number in glee history, and mike chang sings for the first time. oh and don't worry, sam is a sweetheart, he's an absolute himbo, the first few episodes he's characterized a bit differently than what becomes his character, but he is the absolute sweetest. i will forever be mad that they planned on him being bi but ended up going another direction because of the chemistry he had with quinn, but sam is bi in my heart
You need to watch Kurt sing As if We Never Said Goodbye, Kurt and Rachel sing For Good, and Santana sing Nutbush City Limits. All three performances are amazing.

@@venus5019 That was a good episode.
Santana and Mercedes giving the best performances and getting robbed as usual. I wish they had more songs together their voices worked so well with each other
I agree. The show always acted like New Directions needed Rachel and Finn but I think Mercedes and Santana made a better duo.
Yeaaah, when they were in the Troubletones, they deffo should have won
Sam is an absolute sweetheart if i remember rightly. He ends up quitting school to try and take care of his family as they're living out of a motel and parents are basically nowhere to be seen. He has a lot going on so definitely a character worth paying attention to. I felt the same on the first meeting though, had real shifty vibes from him but he turned out okay.
The thing I liked about Quinn this episode was that she was the only one that didn’t vote for herself or had another motive for voting. She voted for for the performance that she truly liked, which was Kurt.
Aw, that's nice! Quinn always gave me good vibes (I only got to season 3 tho, and ofc she cheated a lot but y'know besides that)
@@abigailcheck3721 the cheater, bully, manipulator, status chaser who tried to pin fatherhood on Finn and Mr Shue gave you good vibes?
Where did it say Quinn voted for Kurt? Four people had to vote for Sam/Quinn in order for them to have won by 2 votes. If Quinn voted for Kurt then Sam/Quinn would have had only 3 votes, therefore unable to have won by two votes since everyone voted for themselves.
@@suz2590 Yeah I was also confused by that math as well
@@suz2590 Honestly I really hated Mr.
Yeah Kurt's biphobia wasn't it, I still maintain that Mike was the best male character
@@CMThota I don't know, maybe Matt was the best male character. He only ever had one line so there was nothing to make make me hate him lol.
@@valdoxtheunmerciful Being there for one season with one line will do that lol
Clicked faster than Rachel could demand a solo
Lmaoo
Liked this comment faster than Mercedes can object Rachel's solo request
HELPP
demand* for a solo lmao
samee
Mercedes and Santana are snubbed a lot on the show that's one of the reasons why they did this duet together because they know they are technically two of the best voices in the Glee club
le jazz hot is one of kurts best performances and using a song from victor/victoria was genius
Chris Colfer has some amazing songs in Glee. "I'm Still Here" and "Rose's Turn" are two of my favourites
I’m not usually a commenter but I had to to say this: ELLA ENCHANTED IS SO UNDERATED PLEASE DO THAT MOVIE! I haven’t seen it in years and totally thought I was the only person who liked it 😭😭❤️❤️
It's so good. But also, nothing like the book?? I love the movie, but I think they should make another one that is closer to the source material. Both should exist
YES
YES, IT'S SO GOOD!! I can't hear that song without thinking of it!
YESSSSS!!!!!!

Mike and Tina’s duet is from A Chorus Line called “Sing” - they gender swapped it from the original. I actually thought it was a good idea!
I thought it turned out really well!
Just in case you haven't been following her career, she's been a West End star in London and won the Olivier award for Dreamgirls.
@@marshallfuss4522 I have sort casually kept an eye on her work, but I didn't know that. That's awesome!
She recently performed an original role in The Preacher's Wife the Musical! I got to see it ♡
Kurt’s “duet” with himself was from Victor/Victoria with Julie Andrews, and I love that Kurt performed a song from that movie.
Where can I watch the Concert? I've been searching for it but can't find it. 😭
@@MAFLORENCIA You can rent it on RUclips. I’m not sure if it’s available in your country though.
u torrent has it as well. (RUclips wouldn’t let me type u torrent without the space between the “u” and the “t”.)
Santana and Mercedes finally getting this duet was such a milestone in Glee history 😍❤️❤️❤️ I always loved Naya so much!!! This gave me chills
Firstly, Santana and Mercedes were 1000% robbed. Secondly, you should ABSOLUTELY react to Ella Enchanted. And thirdly, Sam is an okay dude. He just has his stupid moments haha
Just two things
1) you should most definitely react to Ella Enchanted
2) the song that Mike and Tina sings for their duet is from A Chorus Line
Mercedes and Santana performing stronger with the trouble tones will forever be one of my favs from them
one episode you need to watch is in season two “brittany/britney” dont know whether thats how you spell it, but that is definitely one of my favourite episodes of glee, it has brittany singing in it, hence the title, but she sounds absolutely amazing! deffo recommend it.
Kurt and Rachel’s duet at the end of this episode are some of my fave vocals in the entire show
Sam’s actually one of the shows best character (he did unfortunately have a super problematic moment in season 4 which I hate the writers for writing but other than that he’s great).
The writing in the last couple of seasons of Glee was pretty awful in general. The later in the seasons they got, the less the original showmakers were involved when it came to the script.
@@helloinspiration lol I know
What moment was it? I cant remember all of glee lol.
@@Aisha_Luv He thought Rider being molested is a cool thing because it was an older chick and „isn‘t that every guy‘s fantasy“
This “River Deep, Mountain High” (I agree so much on your reactions) cover will forever and always will be my jam. I miss you Naya. ❤️
Yes to anything with Anne Hathaway. Ell Enchanted is one of my favorites.
one of the best episodes musically tbh… from river deep mountain high (the best duet) to happy days, this episode honestly stands out as a fav of mine as well
You should definitely listen to Mercedes and Santana sing the Boy is Mine or any of their duets. Their voices go perfectly together!
Kurt and Blaine’s duet of “It’s Snowing Outside” I honestly so good their voices match each other in almost every duet they did and u should react to it :)
I think the song you mean is Baby It's Cold Outside. :)
@@nomizak Or even “Let it Snow”
I skipped ALL THE WAY to River Deep Mountain High lmfao 😂 I have it saved to my phone and often play it when I’m doing dishes. I WISH they had Naya (Rest in Peace) and Amber do more duets. They to me were the best two singers and vocal BEASTS!
3 years later and Kurt is still my favorite character. And my favorite voice lol
Oh and YES!! I love to see you react to Ella Enchanted!!
14:00 I just love it so much when professionals react to Kurt/Chris Colfer's voice 😍😍
The song that Kurt sings is from a musical called Victor/Victoria where Julie Andrews plays a male and a female. And the song that Tina and Mike are singing is “Sing!” from the musical A Chorus Line 💗
The song is “sing” from a chorus line. One of my fav musicals. And Santana and Mercedes have the best songs and vocals out of the entire show
How is no one talking about the amazing mash-up "Start Me Up/Livin' on a Prayer"? One of the fan faves for sure.
Julie Andrews singing Le Jazz Hot is literal perfection with the only thing coming close being Chris Colfer singing it. Victor/Victoria is an amazing movie and Julie has some big shoes to fill, but Chris killed it.
‘If I were a boy’ is a must. We get an emotional song and more of Unique Adams. Win win
Honestly, one of the few cringey/criminal performances by Mr Schu is his and NPH’s duet of “Dream On” and you should really react to it!! NPH’s vocals slay
That performance is epic! Why is it cringe?
Hannah you're the whole package: Funny, beautiful, smart and just and amazing person
🤓
I don’t care what anyone says but Santana and Mercedes singing together is the best duo in the whole show period 👏🏾
Other thoughts:
1) Brit is HILARIOUS. She was originally brought on the show because they needed someone to teach a bunch of the cast the "Single Ladies" choreography and she used to be Beyonce's backup dancer. Her deadpan delivery made her a fan fave. (And her dancing is BANANAS.)
2) In Kurt I trust as well.
Yessss Human Nature!
You absolutely nailed it. Agree totally.
You HAVE to watch Kurt and Blaine sing "Baby It's Cold Outside" it is soooo good its amazing you will LOVE it
okay HANNAH YOU HAVE TO WATCH JAKE ZYRUS’S PERFORMANCE IN GLEE!!!! He played Sonny pre-transition! He sang Listen! One of the best covers i’ve ever heard!!! I remember watching it and hearing it on the tv…full body chills!
AND YOU KEEP GIVING THE GLEEKS WHAT THEY WANT!!!!!!!! LOVE YOU
‘happy days are here again / get happy’ is one of my favorite glee performances omgggg kurt and rachel killed it!!!!!!
Glee!!! Best. Series. EVER! Quinn is 100% my favourite character and I adore her! She’s beautiful, got a lovely singing voice, she matured during her pregnancy, her voice is so soothing and everything about her makes me happy
One of my favourite Kurt performances is in S1 Ep18 Rosie’s turn 😊
Kurt was decorating their shared room and Finn was like “what even is this f*ggy lamp or this f*ggy” wtv and Burt came down and yelled at Finn we stan burt Hummel
we definitely stan burt hummel
Hey, my nickname is Vee also!
@@vanessafranklin1324 oh neat :)
Burt may be the only unproblematic character in this show
But Hummel was the actual best. No doubt.
If you watch the original video of Barbara Streisand and Judy Garland singing "Happy Days Are Here Again" you'll see that Rachel was imitating Barbara and that's why she was really leaning into the song.
Man Amber and Naya sounded so good together ❤ RIP Naya
finn is a great character and person, he learns from this
Fun fact with Kurt and Sam: They were originally planned to be a couple but Chord Overstreet (Sam) and Dianna Argon (Quinn) had worked together before and had chemistry that it was changed to Sam and Quinn.
I find the fact that Sam who is one of the most kind hearted person in the show and u find him giving off a bad vibe is funny
I think you could react to duets from Rachel and Santana like "so emotional", "brave", "be okay" and "every breath you take". It's amazing!
and gloria that one is amazing
@@maametaylor6922 Although, Adam Lambert stole the show on that one.
Not sure if someone's already told you, but the song (at 14:21) is called "sing" and is from the musical A Chorus Line
The Kurt/Rachel duet at the end always makes me emotional 😭 Kurt’s character in the first couple seasons is really sad and to me this is one of the first shining moments he gets and honestly one of the first humanizing moments that Rachel gets as well.
tina and mike's song is from a chorus line! great musical and is actually a perfect song for them!

"Kurt, you look like Peter Pan in that outfit." That's a different episode.
mercedes and santana vocal duo>>>> theyre SO good
Kurt doing Victor/Victoria is just 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
The goosebumps from Mercedes’ voice were unreal!! Seriously amazing! And the last song with curt and Rachel. Omg. Gorgeous!
Can we just appreciate how professional Hannahs ads are, like omg. She puts so much time and effort into them! Tbh they r the only ads i DONT skip!
Right? They are so entertaining. I'm always tickled to see "Hannah on a different day" in her vids. :)
That lizard comment from Santana is one of my favorite lines ever in this show!
I'm sure others have suggested it but Chris Colfer's Being Alive is epic
“who is puckerman and why is he a criminal” oh honey don’t get me started on that man
Santana & Mercedes voice match is so beautiful I love how they vibe so hard when they perform with each other
I absolutely love the whitney episode and the how will I know cover. Its beautiful
You need to watch Kurt sing As if We Never Said Goodbye, Kurt and Rachel sing For Good, and Santana sing Nutbush City Limits. All three performances are amazing.
