      Not enough 4K monitors and most of them are not as good as 1440p monitors with more features and high refresh rate. Monitor makers need to wait for Nvidia to implement Displayport 2.1 to their gpus until they can make 4K monitors worth our while.

      @@Shadowsmoke11 Agree! I play mostly on my Samsung Odyssey G7 1440p monitor. But i also have my PC hooked up to my LG C1. I strongly prefer 1440p as i get higher fps and graphical settings because my 3080 can’t really do 4k that ”well”. My comment was not serious at all 😅

      I just bought a Samsung G8 qd OLED for my PC because my wife wanted my PC out of the living room. My PC was connected to my LG c1. I have a 4080 with a 7800x3d. I honestly can't tell the difference in picture quality they both look great. 1440 OLED looks just as beautiful and I haven't tested it much yet but I should get better fps. Like he said in the video 4k is awesome but it takes a hell of a machine to run it. Can you really tell the difference. I'm almost 40 so I can't. I agree with him 4090 is overpriced and you don't need it. The only thing that's good about it is it's more future proof. 1600 bucks for a graphics card is ridiculous. 1100 is too though

      @@jimmytimber7074 Actually, i totally agree and have since come around fully. Changed out my LGCX ”monitor”(wall mounted tv at the desk) because it wasnt really the most ergonomic.
      Now i’m sporting a 32” Samsung Odyssey Qled monitor at 1440p 16:9 with RTX4080. Honestly couldn’t be happier. Great performance in all games and as you say crisp enough. I have fully joined 1440p gang again. 😅

    The 4090 has nearly 70% more CUDA cores. Those are the video calculation units. For reference, that's a whole lot more impactful than 8GB more video memory you're likely not using unless you're an artist.

    • @Techomode
      @Techomode  Год назад +3

      Yeah the 4090 has a crazy more amount of cuda cores. I had it up in the comparison but didn’t talk about it. It’s interesting tho because the 3080ti has more cuda cores than the 4080 yet the 4080 destroys that card.

      @@Techomode I can tell you why 1st - L2 cache, 2nd - core speed. Nvidia cheats with L2 cache in 4000 generation, they drop every stat, because L2 cache do all work. Also with UE5 and lumen, actual cores is the most important as the guy said

    • @alexandercheskis
      @alexandercheskis Год назад

      When he did the comparison and only talked about the ram and not the 6,656 more cuda cores I was like "Wait, hold up". The compute cores get more efficient every gen so comparing core count amongst older and newer cards does not work as well, but same gen is legit.

      NGL, The 4080 is a better 4070 Ti with a tad bit better higher specs, 256 memory bus and 4GB of vram, Also i would feel funny spending 1199 on a inferior gpu which i would wonder i should of gotten a 4090 over the 4080, Buyers remorse kicks in and for 400$ from the 1199 the 4090 looks to be the best option = If ima spend 1,199 i might as well go all the way
      Between the 4080 & 4090 if i want a card to last 5+ years without any compromise @ 1440p / 4k which also you can use DLDSR 2.25 from 1440p. 100% it would be the RTX 4090
      With 4080 being a better 4070 Ti which really both cards do 1440p 144hz nicely. You may get 10-30fps more in some games with a 4080, Your going to upgrade a bit faster

    it also depends how you play the Games. At 1440p, at Ultra settings + RT + Graphical Mods (Reshade for example takes 8 to 15fps, depending on the Game), the RTX4080 might hit the ceiling in 1 or 2 years.
    The 4090 is already outdated after the Pathtracing Techdemo of Cyberpunk 2077, few days ago. barely 13fps AVG, at 4K Native. Only with the help of DLSS3 + Frame Generation it reaches 56fps (not even 60).
    That should show, where Gaming is going in a few years.

      That’s why I always buy midrange so I can keep up with graphics update and look for the best bang for buck. I had the 4090 Fe card and it was a beautiful card that ran every games at 4k 120fps perfectly in my 65” c1 oled. I ended up returning the card as I couldn’t justify the $1731 price tag after tax to Best Buy and instead rather pick up a mid range card and play 1440p until 4k becomes more mainstream in a few years. The day a 070 series cards at $600 can push 120fps 4k is the day I’ll have 4k gaming. Not worth that amount of money really. I currently have a 3060 ti which runs great on my 1440p monitor but thinking about getting the 4070 Fe card.

I know better cards are coming out possibly the 4090 TI and 5000 series later next year or early 2025 but as long as I can game at 120fps consistently on my 4K OLED to be able to utilize it, its worth it.

I will likely need a bigger case too. I was thinking the 011 dynamic evo xl. What are yalls thoughts on that case, would it be a good investment? Also maybe if anyone could give me advice as a whole on what else I should add. I currently have a standard width midtower case, 5 fans, an FE 4090 and a intel i-9 13900k cpu.

      The 011 dynamic case is a good choice. Honestly I really like the NZXT H9 elite or the H9 Flow. I'm not sponsored by them. I just really like the look and performance of the case. What kind of cooler do you have for the CPU? I would definitely recommend at least a triple fan radiator for that cpu. I have a 12900K and that thing gets hella hot on any cooler I use unless its on a triple fan radiator. As far as the 4090, the H9 has really good airflow especially when you install all 10 fans. I also have a corsair 4000D airflow which works well, but still the NZXT H9 is still on another level.
