    Answering presser questions is part of the job. Rafa does it always with patience, honesty, good manners and good humor.

    That was a painful interview to listen to...
    Interviewer: How do you feel?
    Rafa: Hard to describe.
    Interviewer: Okay, different question. HOW DO YOU FEEL?
    Rafa: Right now? Not much. I just played a 5 hour match, I'm tired, I'm delirous, I want to go to sleep and not be talking to you.
    Interviewer: Were you worried when you lost your lead in the match?
    Rafa: Umm... yes... duh...
    Interviewer: What did the prince say to you?
    Rafa: Congratulations
    Interviewer: Do you feel a little sorry for Roger?
    Rafa: Of course, I'm not a jerk.
    Interviewer: Where will you travel now?
    Rafa: My next tournament...
    I really feel for these athletes putting up with dumb questions all the time.

      Why don't you become a reporter then, genius? What else are they supposed to ask?

      @@petermaclauren2788 :-) good point...but the superciliousness in his voice cant be ignored... one thing the interview does is makes Rafa look better than any prince or king...not just of face...but of heart too... to make a younger contender say he is sorry that he won over someone who has more titles is downright mean...worse actually... Federer even cried in public... they do this time and again...that is really bad.

    The composure of this kid after a win that would have send most people into nirvana and back was very telling of how ginormous he already was.

    • @joshheinink
      @joshheinink 4 года назад

      Yeah it's how he was raised

    • @VelhaGuardaTricolor
      @VelhaGuardaTricolor 4 года назад

      @@joshheinink It always comes down to how one is raised. I assumed that was a given. But yes, 100% upbringing.
      The stories you hear from Uncle Toni just give us a little glimpse of how much of a positive influence that man was.
      I recall one in particular in which they were all celebrating Nadal first national championship still as a kid and Toni giving him a present. Rafa opened and found a list of names. Toni asks Rafa if he knows any of those names? Rafa goes through the list and goes: Nah!
      Toni says: Those are all the past winners of the Championship you have just won.
      Underlining Message: "You are still a nobody".
      Pretty harsh one would say, but when there is also plenty of love, it is a winning formula.
      Keep them humble!
      What is the point of having a huge game, if your head is way bigger?

    Thanks Rafa for playing a match which, in my opinion, will go down as the greatest ever and will not be surpassed 😉

    Stupid, insulting questions . It’s Rafa’s victory interview , stop asking stupid questions about Roger Federer. Let Rafa enjoy his victory and not apologise for winning - Argh !

      Rafa had been planning to play in Stutgard after Wimbledon. He pulled out because he was just too tired, but he went there to do a little publicity work for the tournament. Only Rafa! But Rafa will keep his commitments if it's physically possible.

      Control your emotions and be humble is the key to success no matter where.

    • @jayap3557
      @jayap3557 4 года назад +1

      oh c'mon...he himself says he shows his emotion on the court... he does too... especially that elbow-up leg-up and cat-face he makes when he gets the better of the opposite guy... it is a very cute sort of action...that we tolerate only because it is Rafa doing it... from any one else that entire act would have looked lousy...:-)
      He may not mistreat the racquet or hit opponents and not apologise - in one he hit short of djoko and apologised nicely... but djoko refused so openly to accept the apology... and Rafa was seen shrugging...as if to say what more can i do...that is the level of djoko (who talks about meditation and calmness these days with some spiritual speaker...soooo funny)... but that is Rafa for all his fans young and old (like me)... somewhat superior to the rest of those who play tennis...
