    He is just the most adorable little thing when he's speaking English. He looks like he is concentrating so hard on what he is saying and he still manages to be really funny despite the language barrier. The windy bit and the escape bit are just so endearing. Bless you Raf.

    Baby Rafa is precious. Adult Rafa is as precious, only more down to earth. He is lovely. Petition for using every translator even for now, because he express better in Spanish.

    just 21 - he looks like a little girl. dimples and all :-)...and these old guys talk to him about revenge... what is it that drives such people!!! how he manages to learn and use that "run away with" expression... so cute... his english vocabulary... expression...may be limited... but his heart...mind...tennis and his adorability quotient are so high that sometimes what he says/represents sounds like very innocent...unlike other tennis players...untouched by the worldly vices...brings a tear to the eyes/leaves a lump in the throat... that to some people his lack of proficiency in english is more important than the 100% he brings to the front as a sportsman and human being. Great chap Rafa... always pray for good things to happen to him and his near and dear.

    Dear Lord he is so sweeeeeet, LOL! I love how he says windy, foots, what (and then laughs) and how he uses run away with that drop dead gorgeous smile! Praying for his knees to fully recover because tennis needs Rafa so bad right now (not a thing against the mighty Fedex, but come on, he had Wimbly in the bag without Rafa there)!

    The fact that he was asked the revenge question in his winning against Kyrgios in Wimbledon 2019 and he gave the same question says a lot.

    Jesus, Rafa used to be so relaxed and smiley, despite his English not being so good back then. These days (really the past few years) he seems super uptight and serious. Really sad to see this change. He's become so stern at times.

      It's the hairloss. I think the interviews are painful and uncomfortable for him now because his self esteem has taken a huge blow due to the baldness. He wears a hat to every press conference now if you've noticed.

      Well he and the other 2 guys are chasing history ofcourse they are more serious now. They are not kids now but legends going crazy for history

      Rafa was 20 years old in that presser! Of course, he grew up! He's 36 now and fighting still as he nears the end of his glorious career.

    His english here in 2006 sounds less confident than his 2005 pressers! Always sweet and modest though!

    Hi there I'm working on a documentary and hoping to ask you a question about this video, is there some way I can get in touch with you?

  • @minyrar7107

    Rafa at the end:
    “Venga, que hoy no llego al restaurante tío”

    • @jayap3557
      @jayap3557 4 года назад +1

      ha ha irepressible Rafa...so cute... wonder who is the "tio"...the interpreter?

    • @minyrar7107
      @minyrar7107 2 года назад +1

      @@jayap3557 “tío” is how Spaniards call each other. It’s like saying “man”. So yes, he is referring to the interpreter as “tío” instead of calling him by his name.
      The literal translation of tío is uncle, but in this case, it has nothing to do with his uncle.
