If it had a surge protector built in it would be worth the cost.
Way cheaper to just install the soft starts on the AC.

This not only limits the surge on AC units but also high draw appliances throughout your RV so before anybody compares the price to a standard roof installed softstart, your making your entire RV run more efficient, not just your AC unit 🙂 I paid for overnight shipping so I should be getting mine within the next few hours 🎉

I picked one up for about 40% off. Excellent capability. I can also use it on my house, using my generators, with the power going through this to the house.

Does it handle your house AC ok? How many tons?

@@brianluttman7034 2.5 tons. I measured the startup and it was 26.5-27.5 Amps with the soft start. I don't leave on all the heavy usage items. For instance, I won't use it to run my heater, in the winter as that is 60 Amps. I can run the water pump, when needed, etc.

What type of surge protector are you using with this unit, noce video. I saw these a while back and forgot it was available.

CRAZY high price. $160 for a coleman SS. 3 of them would still be almost half the price of those things.
still a great video though. Thank you
