Glad you found my sticker. 😀Hope you had a great trip! Cheers. Brian
Just added you guys! I've been staying here and it's the best! The owners are amazing!
@@Dan.Culbert we love Sam and Sara so much. Been there so many times !!
WHY?
Just busted mine after I already had it connected...wife thought we should fill up fresh tank cuz why not?
I would love to check out Whittier, Alaska (I would RV camp outside of Whittier and drive my truck through the tunnel). This is the only town I know of where many people live, go to school, work, shopping, worship, etc all in the same building.
Advantages of Cruises: 1. Meals and entertainment included at complementary venues. 2. No driving and no traffic. 3. Visit places where the RV cannot be driven to 4. Enjoy the open sea. 5. No emptying black and grey water and no worry about breakdowns and repairs. Disadvantages of Cruises 1. Less freedom and no control over itinerary. 2. Having to go through customs 3. Limited to what you can bring or not bring 4. No pets allowed. 5. Food may be bland compared to home cooking and paying tips 6. Rushed at ports of call. Not much time to explore and excursions are overpriced. 7. Crowds Advantages of RVing 1. More freedom. You are in full control of the itinerary. 2. Stay and explore as long as you like. Your RV and toad vehicle will not leave you behind. 3. No customs if you stay in the USA. 4. Enjoy peace and quiet. No crowds 5. Cook outside and better quality food 6. Bring the furry members of your family along (dogs, cats, and other pets). 7. No tipping.
Why don't you show the battery pack that's on your truck.
I recently changed out the upper- right -out cable. It wasn't broke but worn half way through. I tried the the finger trap with tape, didn't work. So I ended up taking off all of the slide trim on the right side. Took one of the strands of the cable off and wove mechanics wire in it with minimum tape, didn't work. Tried bending the cable in a 180, didn't work. I ended up taking one strand of the cable off for about 18", TIG welded a 1/16 weld wire to it. Made sure the weld was smooth. Pulled it gently and it seemed to be going good and then it stopped, then gave a good strong pull with lineman's pliers and it came through. I wouldn't call it an easy job more a PITA. Perhaps next time I'll remove one strand on the new cable for about 2" and glue the finger trap on the both cables and see if it works.
So I’ll tell ya. I’ve never had much luck with the finger traps. I love the idea of it. After buying 4 or 5 different cable kits from different manufacturers I’ll tell you they are for sure not all the same quality.
I've had good luck with the standard tpms sensor set up on my mini tractor. I don't think this would work on that as it has never hit 12 mph in its life but still it's pretty cool
lol I don’t think on a mini tractor there is much of a need for anything else ! Lol thank you for the comment
@HomeOnTheHitch I use it because the front tires are lower profile and so stuff it's hard to tell if they're going flat.
I bought a weigh safe and really like it the scale on the hitch is really nice it dials in very good I bought the older one that’s no longer offered Man is it heavy
Thank you sir !
Why do you remove comments of truth that you do not like🤷♂️ A projection style hitch, like Hensley or Pro-pride is much safer & easier than those clumsy bars.
I haven’t removed anything that I’m aware of ? To date my favorite hitch to tow with is the ProPride for its Pivot Point Projection design and sway mitigation. In fact, our most viewed videos on our channel are of the Pro Pride, but that has nothing to do with weight distribution. As far as weigh distribution goes the ProPride is a very basic concept hitch. The Weigh Safe is better as far as weight distribution and correct setup goes. WD is just as important as sway mitigation/ control in creating a safe towing experience. And that’s what we will be talking about in future videos.
I like this idea; Home On The Hitch. You’ve carved out a nice niche! Good luck! It’s out of my wheelhouse, but a good idea is a good idea. Edit: just read your about page, and your mission statement itself has already inspired me to tackle a completely unrelated matter in my life, using your straightforward motivation of “get it done. You can do it! Make the memories and make every moment count”!! Godspeed to you and the Missus. And the girls. Looking forward to checking out your videos and connecting with something real, and grounded. 🇺🇸🤝
Thank you ! We appreciate you
He is right
Several videos you left your favorite hat at a restaurant. You mentioned at that time finding a new favorite hat would take some time. So did you find a new favorite hat?
lol. Devastation when I lost the hat. 😂. I have one I’ve been wearing but no. I haven’t found what I would consider a replacement as of yet
Hey I can wrap my heater cord that I got got the pipe underneath right on the tank itself
Nice bike, I would really like to get one and being a bigger guy myself will interested in see if the bike works over time. I like the larger wheels. Give us an up date after you work out the new ness. Good video
Awesome footage, editing. Good to see you two. See you in person real soon!
Sharp bike great show Don’t fall off of that one I hear it hurts
100ah are worthless on RV's now days. Get a couple 300ah mini's.Less than 500 a piece. I have "Battle-Born" too, but most of the "new" batteries are just as good. I own a bunch, and test continually.
Good show BigT but I have never had the desire to go solar Maybe it’s my age we always plug in to go camping
Totally get it. Sometimes it’s just easier lol.
I can get at least four maybe five Chinese made LiFePO4 batteries for the price of one Battleborn. These are quality built and tested and torn apart by Wil Prowse in RUclips.
Battle Born are way too EXPENSIVE !!!!
Anyone overpaying for BB batteries in 2024 is living in 2021.
US can't compete?
This not only limits the surge on AC units but also high draw appliances throughout your RV so before anybody compares the price to a standard roof installed softstart, your making your entire RV run more efficient, not just your AC unit 🙂 I paid for overnight shipping so I should be getting mine within the next few hours 🎉
Are you going to add it to your system to give you more off grid power.
We are going to put in in and see how it plays with others !!!
Gotta wrap the regulator too?
Never wrapped the regulator…. Once the liquid converts to a gas then all is well as far as I know
While I enjoy your location videos, I appreciate your product reviews more. Keep them coming. Larry from Texas
Thank you sir i appreciate that. Funny you say that we get that a lot. So we are going to focus more on product reviews, how to’s / repairs and fix its. See how that goes. People seem to watch more. For our channel anyway….throw some travel stuff in now and again
A great show Mel and Thomas safe travels
Looked a fun adventure. The church was beautiful. I do love a good market place, just would not like the crowds. But no great bakery without the crowd. Save travel home.
You mentioned that Les was the first name of the person who owned Glaceurs cupcakes. Then I noticed when you were in the market that Melissa loved so much that Les also owned Douceurs du Marche. Man, that Les sure gets around. Larry from Texas
I personally wouldn't have gone that route. You could have done the cruise and spent 1/3 of that and had a blast. No breakdowns, do dealing with finding a place to park or dump your waste. The experience I'm sure was great but I'd get back home and need a vacation from the vacation
Fix to the valve stem issue is to have metal valve stems install.
Looks like Mt Washington was nice and clear! We loved the cog train ride.
It was beautiful this time around. Sunny and calm !
Great show safe travels Awlsome What is that big dent in your fender from Be careful
Well I got that dent in Alaska at Denali National park. From a tree stump just the height of the dent. Couldn’t see it in the mirrors or looking behind. Blind spot of the fender. I figure it’ll only cost a few grand to get it fixed. Lol. Of course. That’s why it’s not done yet
Ah, the joys of scary narrow mountain roads. I feel your pain. Years ago, we were headed to Oregon to visit my parents. We plotted a path that took us through Susanville, California. As we headed up Highway 44, we encountered a roadblock due to a fatality that occurred on one of the sharp bends Highway 44 is known for. We were told it would be a four-hour delay, possibly longer. Our choices were waiting out the delay in one of Susanville’s café, which was already filled to capacity, getting a hotel room, which was also rapidly approaching capacity, or taking a detour I did not wish to backtrack hundreds of miles to find an alternate route, so using my superior tracking skills, learned in various Texas forests, tracking lion, tigers, and bears (oh no), I mapped out Highway 139, which on the GPS appeared to be a detour that was only 30 to 40 minutes longer. I may have failed to mention that this trip was the maiden voyage of my Dodge RAM 3500 Diesel Dually. I wasn’t pulling a trailer or RV, but I had yet become used to the height above the roadway and the limited vision over the hood. This truck is a beast. Highway 139 is narrow, with no shoulders, and all traffic seems to have the same idea I did, including traffic coming down the road I was attempting to go up. This included Class A RVs, log trucks, and the occasional 18-wheeler. We were on the side with no shoulder and a straight drop into the valley below. As I white knuckled up the winding road, we would approach curves that, in normal conditions, were sketchy, but with large vehicles coming the opposite way and they were up against the rocky cliffs, it did not leave me much maneuvering room. It was just so when we came to the sharpest curve in the road. Not only was there no shoulder, but the road made a sharp altitude change, and all I could see over the hood was the open sky. There was no road, no markers, nothing that allowed me to determine how close I was to flying into the wild blue yonder. At this moment, I felt a warm trickle in my shorts, and my fingers were losing feeling due to my grip on the steering wheel. I heard sharp gulping noises, which I later realized was me. My wife, on the passenger side, had her mouth open in a silent scream while her eyes bulged like a person with severe exophthalmos (look it up). My dog, Boots the Wonder Dog, was crouched down on the center console, with both paws covering his eyes and making a high-pitched squealing sound. I’m not sure how I got through that curve of death, but somehow, I did. By that time, my wife was yelling at me to breathe because, apparently, I was turning blue. Perhaps that explained the blurred vision. By the Grace of God, we made it, and that was, fortunately, the last of the shoulder less road. A church song kept playing in my head, “Nearer, My God, to Thee.” We made it up to the top, and at the first opportunity, I pulled over, and we all said a prayer of thanks, including Boots to whatever deity dogs pray to. I later had my manhood insulted by a youngster who read my story and said that he had been hauling loaded trailers up that same road since he was 16 years old and that maybe I should sell my truck. That reminded me why we send 18-year-olds into battle, as they have no sense of mortality. That is my story, and I’m sticking with it. Larry from Texas
I just want to say hello and I will respond to this awesome comment soon… we are currently in the middle of a sting of travel days …
