9 over? As a retired cop, also a motor officer, we only wrote 10 over in a school zone. Everything else was at least 15 over, then we usually lowered it to 9 over, to lower the fine. C'mon, isn't that what happened? BTW, we always kept our hold button on the radar unit in hold, until we made a visual estimation, then release the hold, which defeats your radar detector.
yeah it's not worth it to run especially if it means possibly crashing and destroying your car, going to jail, and losing your job as a result of going to jail, and having a felony on your record

My "L" was 90 in a 65, he wrote me up for 75. Without any violations in the past three years, was able to take "plea in abeyance". Pay the fine, keep your nose clean for a year and no points.
If you go to ticket clinic no points and no insurance problem. Basicly lawyer is like my client is not admitting hes guilty but heres some money. The court likes to save time. They get court costs and lawyer gets his money. Usually ends up same cost but it gets adjudicated. (Like it never happened)

Yep, it's not the ticket - it's the point on your record that increases your insurance rate - recommend to take the drivers course at the DMV to avoid the point increase. Typically, it takes 3 years before the point is erased from your record.. and the insurance increases can be $2K until the point goes away.. Definitely agree that is not smart running - a minor speeding ticket is way better than a month in jail, car is gone, license is suspended and a fresh felony on your record.

You should good on the insurance because speeding tickets get reported to your insurance if you go over 10-15mph posted speed limit unless you tell your insurance

He was standing by a tree in his motorcycle and I just blew past him…never saw him until too late…but I stopped right after…🤣😂🙃….now I have a 2019 V8 Daytona , and I haven’t bought the Uniden yet, but I’m more careful.🤣😎⚓️

Go to traffic court, you have everything again and nothing to lose. With a clean record they will either drop it, reduce it to improper equipment or the worst thing is nake it go to driving school one Saturday and then it won't get reported to the DMV. Driving school is cheaper than the increased insurance premium.

It sounds like you are going to pay the ticket. Pay it but overpay it by $1. They're going to send you a check in the mail for a dollar. Do not deposit that dollar check. The ticket will sit in limbo and not go on your record until the money is correct. I don't know about where you're at, but it works in Arizona. It saved me a lot of money on my insurance. That's for sure.
