Yep-he thinking better bail out now rather than be blamed by the massive failure that EV "Charger" is going to be
Indeed. Get out before the fire sale
Facts bro
They want us to go electric, consumers say "no no no!" RIP Amy Winehouse, check out the movie Back to Black
Y’all bugging. Dodge is already a massive failure. NOTHING they make sells
Exactly what I thought🤣
So he's "getting the hell out of Dodge"
Timmy is leaving just in time!! Just before the big embarrassment!
He was given two options, retire and get a good severance package. Or we fire you. This is forced retirement bro.
Definitely seems forced
On Twitter some are saying people at the top weren’t fond of him anymore
@@aking4974Because he wasn’t listening to the Europeans ideas whatsoever all he was doing was selling big V8s they would’ve gave him some slack if he made aesthetically pleasing gas saving commuter cars but he refused to and kept making the same exact thing and got rid of all his gas commuter cars with vans, midsize pickup truck and smaller gas commuters like the Toyota Camry, Nissan Altima and Honda Accord
@redhunnid5142 He listened by making their piece of junk EV with the "Charger" brand on it. They should have made a new Dukes of Hazzard show with a pride flag on a purple "President Obama" Charger Banshee and two gay romantically involved cousins who get chased by a Trump-supporting, law-enforcing, CIS white cop. Their "Uncle Jessie* could be Queen Latifa and "Daisy Duke" could be Dylan Mulvaney.
They canned his a$$, gave him a golden parachute to keep his mouth shut. He gave 2 weeks to retire, really ???? another example that Stellantis thinks Dodge customers are dumb as hell
lol
Shoulda canned his ass way sooner. And considering all these comments thinking he actually is stepping down. Dodge fans are dumb as hell
They don't feel like they have to care about Dodge. They think the whole company is a hobby and they don't care about its history. I'm really surprised they aren't shutting down the whole operation.
@@sammiches6859Oh, but it’s gonna happen tho, but it’s still early yet! Dodge is not gonna survive all of this, it’s just a matter of time till they completely sink the entire ship!!
They fired him bro, they let him go out on his shield. By telling us he is retiring… Big Facts
Think about it!
This is how Corporate structure works..
You were there?
@@daviiwonder corporate structure like he said .. out with the old in with the new .. Stellantis wants their own guy in his spot
BRING BACK THE VIPER
AGREED! WITH THE SIDE EXIT EXHAUST.
And Stealth
Not in this era, they will make it an electric SUV 💀
won't happen
won’t happen, if they bring back the viper they would bring back the actual gas challenger and charger hemi models. challenger and charger is what brought their money in mainly. highly doubt they’ll bring the viper which didn’t sell very well.
I’m not sitting at a charge station unless the car is totally bullet proof 20 minutes of sitting someplace to get robbed.
Game Over Dodge.
This "transitional period" is going from BEING A FUNCTIONING COMPANY to being BANKRUPT.
It’s not even a coincidence anymore Dodge is legitimately dead. Tim is literally jumping ship because Stellatis is taking over and making European vehicles for their brand which Tim knows is not what dodge should be.
He wasn't happy about where the company was heading . So the party was over time to go.
Stellantis to him “STEP DOWN OR WE WILL PUBLICLY SHAME AND FIRE YOU”!!!!
My dumb ass just bought a brand new 2023 Dodge Durango RT AWD orange edition for $46,000. I may have gotten screwed, but that new car smell and rumble of the V8 puts a smile on my face.
You’ll be glad you got one. Enjoy your V8
That sounds like a decent deal to me.
You did fine. I bought a new 2015 Durango rt AWD for 44k
You're the reason America is falling apart. People like you are destroying the gene pool.
I have a 392 in my 1974 Dodge Dart Sport. I'm good
He's the godfather of the Scats and Cats.
scat packs been around since the 60s bro 😂
You guys give him a lot of credit for nothing. Scats and Hellcats came out before he was CEO and he only held the position for only 3 years. Dude is a overglorified salesman.
@@MaddNomad1015 he is legit the father of the hellcat and the demon. What are you talking about. He was ceo for a while when the hellcat was made.
@@JRLL81_that’s my bad I read the stuff after the merger. At the end of the day though he’s still an over glorified salesmen. I see more Ralph Gilles as the heart and soul of those cars more so than him.
@@MaddNomad1015 ahh I get that.
I think he tried to stick it out, have an open mind, and make the best out of the Stellantis merger and the companies electric future but then he realized there's no point its not gonna work and they look like fools trying to hype us up about this electric BS
Tim is bailing out before Dodge sinks I don't blame him I wouldn't want to be a part of Dodge anymore neither
The Dodge Brothers are rolling in they're graves.
It's sad, but at least I can rejoice that he's been liberated from his European overlords.
This makes it official. Mopar is dead
thats facts
Agreed
Better without this traitor. Dude is the whole reason Mopar sold out to globalism
He sees the writing on the wall. Yeah , you can say he's being replaced, buy he's checking out.
Do you think he retired , or do you think Stellantis leadership put Tim out to pasture? I imagine that he has probably been very vocal against the direction of and treatment of Dodge by their new overlords.
He retired in frustration
The driving experience with an EV is completely sterile. There is NO EV that can compare to the visceral experience of driving a car with a gas engine. I have ZERO interest in ever owning one. 😒
👍Well said.
Dodge used to be awesome! Now they suck.
Stellantis is probably "retiring" Tim, like someone else mentioned. Lee Iacocca is probably turning in his grave, Walter P Chrysler also, over what Stellantis has done.
That's what happens when you let Europeans come into our land. They're not new to this by any means and won't leave our country alone.
He’s getting out before the shit hits the fan!
ya i wouldn't wanna hang around for that disaster either
My dream was buying a 23 Charger Redeye Jailbreak and now they are dying and it makes me sad.
Shid u can Buy one at any dealership 😂 shit gone b 100k tho
Just wait until the brand is liquidated and they sell them for $30k just to be rid of them.
I would never trade in my beautiful 392 Scat Pack charger to that electrical crap the only tops 137 are you kidding me I hid 140 quickly in a daily basis I'm always going to be Mopar with my beautiful V8 engine
This is all being done by design.
He’s taking his bonus money and getting out while he’s ahead. 😂😂😂
Most likely it was a forced retirement… I just don’t think his vision aligns with the company’s vision of going full EV.
Retire or Get Fired
We do not have the infrastructure to go full EV. TECO is taking a beating for all these Model S's
We love your vids knock out thanks for giving us the updates
He knows that the ship ⚓🚢 is going to sink no more that super whine and v8 hemi dodge is done
Now other American muscles are taking the advantage
The Camaro is dead as well.
I knew this was going to be a big failure for Dodge. Ending your most popular selling cars was insane. EV's lack any appeal to me. I can't imagine playing the sounds of a big engine via a sound system. Dodge is going under. The Ram is not going to rescue Dodge.
bring the hemi back!! dodge and counterparts will be saved!
I see chargers and challengers and Darts. But no Hornet yet. I am south of Tampa.
"What is this .. BET?" 😂😂😂😂 man that made me laugh amongst the sadness lol thanks for that lmao
Tim is smart
Smart move by Tim shit i ain't getting blamed for this upcoming failure bye Felicia 👋🏻
Who's Felicia?
@@MisterMikeTexas it's comedy movie reference..called (Friday) with ice cube and Chris Tucker a crackhead walks up to them asking for a favor and they dismissed her by say saying bye Felicia..
I’ve seen maybe a total of 6 or 7 HORNETS on the road since they came out. On the Lot tho, they make up the majority
Love how knockout always has all the info❤️⛽️
Bro has been the dodge ceo longer than I’ve been alive DAMN THATS CRAZY😂
How old are you
He’s been CEO for only 3 years.
Knockout Great Video. You said it all...
He was such a cool CEO, it’s a shame that his European boss ruined the company
As soon as i heard someone saying he's leaving dodge i knew it was over
knockout 360 friend yes things are looking bad for Dodge/Stellantis, and i know i been tuff on Tim Kuniskis !!But when a CEO of Dodge Steps down like Tim Kuniskis, of a company i think the he seen that the ship is going under !! Plus who knows , i don't think that he like the way the company was being run right now either !! 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
The government and the big auto conglomerates saw Tesla's success and hopped on the bandwagon but didn't realize that most Tesla owners buy in because of the brand Elon built. It's the brand culture that draws so many people in. Think Apple products, for example. Tesla cars are the automotive equivalent of the Apple I phone.
I live in Minnesota, never seen a dodge hornet. I took a trip to Denver, CO and saw 3. But still they are definitely not selling.
They can keep these electric cars and trucks, it's internal combustion engines for me !!!
Dodge is going under and he sees it coming won’t be long before they follow Pontiac and Oldsmobile.
That is horrible to think about.
Let me repeat something I've said many times already. For a whole lot of people driving is a passion as are the cars THEY choose to drive. You CANNOT TELL a car enthusiast what he or she has to drive. Personally, I have nothing against electric cars but offering them as a replacement to ICE'S rather than an alternative mode of transportation was a huge mistake! Now I love Tim Kuniskis and what he has done for the Dodge performance brand. And as bad as it makes me feel to have to say the slightest thing negative about him, I just can't ignore nor get past the fact that he DID try to sell this beyond just an alternative. So the truth is Tim has a little Dodge blood from it's wounds on his hands. I will not begin to speculate why Tim is leaving. But I think the evidence is clear that he played a role in Dodge's current state of affairs, even if only through complicity and then making that compliance public. Don't pee on me then tell me it's raining. I hate to see Tim go, but I wish he had stood a little stronger for those of us who love the IC Dodge performance brand... But he did not!
Just keepin it 100.
Maybe Ford can hire him. Or maybe GM can hire Tim, and post him as head of relaunched Pontiac (if it's true about Pontiac's return).
Ford is already making most of the right moves. GM probably wouldn't bring Pontiac back with no Chevy equivalent around.
Nah give him to GM and have him work on the 7th gen camaro which is currently delayed and then send him over to Pontiac if they get revived and produce muscle car sedans like the G8 again. We already got the chevelle, trans am, and GTO from TransAmWorldWide
Imagine having an emergency at home and your EV stops midway because you were in a hurry the day before and forgot to charge it. ICE til I die.
How’s that different from running out of fuel? Does your house have a gas pump in the wall? Because I can charge an EV at home, I’m not going to drill oil and refine it in my back yard. 😅
I can keep a can of gas at home, can't keep a can of battery around
@@evildrizzt1 J E R R Y C A N S
I'm not an ev fan by any means but that same analogy can be used for gas cars when you forgot to fill up before you left.
@392nightrunner ok but if you out on the road and your gas can is at home. What difference does it make for an ev running out of battery on the road. Yea there's a possibility someone would stop and have a gas can to help but that's not likely. You gonna end up being towed back home or some shit.
Dunno if he's "retiring" so much as "being retired" by Carlos. He seems to have a very different mindset than Stellantis does, I wouldn't be surprised if we see Dodge sold or closed in five years. Loved hearing you mention my beloved Magnum, btw :)
We’re about to see just how much Stellantis can fck that brand up ngl 💀💀💀
They're gonna pull out the Bidenomics on us. Sad to see American car brands being overrun by Europe and China now because America is land of the sellouts and frauds.
I've seen 5 Hornets since they were released two years ago. I'd bet I'll see even fewer EV Chargers between now and 2030.
That background of your computer @6:11 is hard.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾😎😎😎😎😎😎😎 He was a car guy and he wasn't for killing V8s and EV change. I think he was forced to retire.
Because people don’t have the pocket change like they use to. They are charging hand over foot for true EV vehicles. The housing hookups and the price alone isn’t worth it. I can see pre Covid yes because we had a descent economy and the prices weren’t as high let alone interest rates.
That’s funny cuz on the west side of las Vegas it’s mostly Tesla and I’m seeing in suburbs tesla like in the upper class suburbs drive electric vehicles
They need to drop 20k in price
I knew those Board meetings were...🔥
After reading up on stocks, i realized that good CEO’s actually love what they run. He may just be against it cuz he doesn’t love the way dodge is going anyway
Chrysler cars and cuvs, Dodge Trucks and Jeep SUVs, no more Dodge cars. Chrysler is about to inherit the charger franchise as well as the hornet and Durango and everything else Dodge has in the pipeline.
?????? Bro Chrysler isn't doing ANYTHING. They straight up said they will be purely EV and will no longer be interested in muscle
@@whyareyoureadingmyname5854 they say a lot of things they don't mean
Lower the price on the Dodge Rams simple
Ralph gilles and his team should truly be the ones celebrated for the massive growth of Dodge's franchise..... my personal opinion ofc...
1974 all over again! That was the death of the 1st round of muscle cars. HP went from the upper 400s to the mid 200s
Years ago, there was a song that goes” got to give the people give the people what they want” it’s a shame. No one’s listening.
I don’t blame him I’ll dip out before this BS too I’m still waiting to get a 392 myself
He must have re watched that electric Charger promo a few times and figured this is the nail in the coffin, wtf was I thinking!!!
I was just looking at a trx last week. They had 2 new ones at 124k. Hell naw...i really want one but not paying that. I could go get me a real truck like a dually or something for less than that and put in some work.
Wonder how this will affect the scat pack and hellcat stage kits that are still in development?
Its either hes jumping ship before it sinks or the board let him go because they know based off his history with the mopar platform Tim and electrics wouldnt be able to coexist and move to the new vision without issues and growth so its being put out as “retirement”.
Damn the banshee must not be going well for him to retire before the drop
There goes those 392 direct connection kits 😢
I still hope that they don't cancel the Scatpack stage kits. it looks sketchy.
Why don't car companies listen to the customer? We've told you we don't want a toaster with wheels!
Tim K is saying ITS THE PERFECT TIME TO BUY A BMW M2/M3 😂😂😂🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Those hurricane engines been having problems
Its over yall...Enjoy your Hemis 💪
I seen them mass towing the new rams because the wiring harnesses are to short here in Michigan DODGE IS TOAST
The timing is interesting...looks like to me he's retiring to start up the Pontiac line looks like a a classic iacoca move to me. 🤷
In 2023 the dodge charger were 23 thousands. Now they 40 thousands..boy there bonuses must be big.😅
Electric muscle cars are like veggie burgers
Tim may go to GM and maybe even bring Pontiac back or go to Ford and may bring Mercury back to recreate the new Cougar, who knows.
Im down with inline engines as there naturally better balanced , but also it is like the best "meet in the middle" engine as apposed to either the hemi or some ev garbage , as for size , power , usability.. i am curious to see the future of stellantis i guess its called now .. i personally love dodge .. i talk crap with my buddies just like most us car guys but to keep it 💯 dodge is a friggin powerhouse and it is sad to see it deferring from muscle and the true sports car era it once was ... peace and love all keep it rad stay safe and build on l8z... ps this why i run with mazda lol
I’ve seen more cybertrucks than hornets at this point
I bought 2 dodges under this CEO. I doubt I’ll buy another one anytime soon. I’m ok with hybrids and the corvette eray is a good example of what a hybrid can do. EV just isn’t where it should be today. Too much of a hassle.
I'll keep my rt then upgrade when the scat and hellcat come down
If Pontiac returns as rumored, maybe you can trade for a new Trans Am, or maybe a supercharged 6.2 Bonneville.
I drive a toyota camry hybrid i bought the hybrid because it had more power than the gas only camry and gets 45 mpg.
Dodge has been ruined again it's happened before, they should of worked in hybrid systems and turbos but getting rid of what people like .i can't afford a 100k car it's out of the question ..
Btw good channel
Aye pesky blinders best show that came on Netflix 🤷🏾♂️💯🫡
Yep he’s bailing! Can’t win a battle without ammunition!
11 year run as CEO is very good
Because dealerships are overcharging for these cars
Dudes and dudettes...
Tim was invited to a carpet party.
Ain't a no one is telling him it was for him until a few months ago.
He learned fast.
Smart move for timmy. Got out before its too late
CarLock is trash 🗑️. That shit 💩 is not responsive.
stellantis taking over Dodge was the worst decision for dodge’s future.
Dodge is history. And most likely Ram and Jeep will follow. I was close to buying a new Hellcat. Now i changed my mind after hearing this. Dodge dealerships and SRT techs will be history too. There goes your service. And your warranties. A must with these cars. Also, hearing too much about the awful QC in the 2023's.
Lol I haven’t kept up with car culture or dodge culture at all, I didn’t realize it was imploding like this. The most interested people are thieves and crooks, cars aren’t selling as much and are overpriced , they’re abandoning the modern classics they came out with and the CEO seemed to notice this and decided not to be associated with the drastic change.
They shoulda kept with the same cars and kept modifying the body , interior aswell, or added EVs as other options but also kept the look they have had for those who want it. To me they are classics like old school muscle cars, you don’t need to change it, if someone wants a car to look different every year they are consumers but what about the people who know the car has a timeless appeal to it?
The biggest turn off was probably not being up to date with anti theft features , no one needs to pay 2 grand to have their car be protected
