It's a great whisky. I had Odin, 32 yo Fettercairn, Macallan Ruby, Devil's Cask and Corryvreckan by Ardbeg one evening and this one for me really stood out. The Fettercairn was phenomenal but I liked Odin very, very much.

It’s as smooth as the late frummer suits, frummer suits summer fruits 🍎 with a soupçon of ginger and almonds.

I always drink my overproof whisky neat.....at least once :) Especially if I paid over 100$ for it! But you are right, experiencing with the correct amount of water with such whiskies is recommended. Although, I have a Glen Garioch Vintage 1995 bottle here at 55.7% and I can't find any burn whatsoever so I really don't know if I'd add water to it. The 1st filled ex-bourbon casks really seemed to have tamed the beast!

+Francis Ducharme You dont add water to get rid of the burn. You add water to activate the spirit!

@@Ricardo8388 but that's what they do when it's not cask strength anyway. So just don't buy cask strength if you want to water it down. Becuase that's what they do with the regular whiskies anyway so just buy those
      This is my opinion

I' am of the opinion that Odin should have been more similar as the others,,as in the wood the same color, not a black bottle, and a 18 yr at least.
