Another great review! Been watching and listening to your podcast on Spotify for a bit now, always fun! Back on 2020 I got tired of how hard was to find "allocated" bourbon, so I decided to explore other spirits. So I started dipping my toes in the rum world, discovering Foursquare lead me to discovering you guys, good times. Last year I decided to step up my Scotch game. Based on your reviews and experiences I added Aberlour A'Bunadh, Glenfarclas 21 (which we toasted 2021 away with) , Highland Park Cask #2, all Big Hitters. I even bought real Tequila for the first time, that G4 108proof is the bomb. became a Fan of Fortaleza as well. I've had many great drams based on your recommendation! Cheers and thanks!!!
Bought one of these a few weeks ago, really enjoying it. I'm also a fan of the old 15 (still 2 in the bunker) and I think I pretty much agree with your comparison of the two. This one feels less sherried and more peated than the old one, although I haven't done them side by side. I did do a side by side with an old 18 I have open & found the new 15 to have a much fuller body and stronger flavors. The 18 was maybe a little better balanced and definitely more complex, with a far stronger "old sherry" profile I remember from the previous range in general, including the old 15.
Thanks guys. Wade made a tonne of scotch decanters back in the day. This was priced higher than the CS here, so I went with the CS and I couldn’t be happier!
Just bought a bottle, after finding out that Highland Park is another scotch producer that does NOT add coloring (a deceptive practice that disgusts me). It's great - almost as good as my favorite readily available scotch: Glendronach 15. I like the ceramic bottle but it's gonna be hard to tell when it's time to buy a new one.
Been following you guys for over a year now... Dillon talked about this highland Park 15 would be great with a good cigar !?! Can you please start a review about cigars or some special about your favorite peering ? Thanks again for everything !!!
We'd love to, unfortunately RUclips frowns upon cigar content and demonetizes and sometimes "shadow" removes it. We may add some cigar content for our members videos and on patreon in the future though!
@@CuriosityPublic Yes this is true, some of my video channels are telling us to transfer to Rumble and others… Though, maybe think of doing the same, because if they frown cigar content… we’ll liquor is close behind ?!?
Guys, just sampled at a complimentary tasting with 5 others. Enjoyed but nothing great for me. Didn't know the price. For $100 to 115, I'll go with Springbank 12 year CS or 15 year every day. Cheers!
What about new one HP16 wings of eagle? Did you compare it to the rest od Viking lineup? I think it is great. Probably still subdued, but nearly no peat (just a bit of pepper), and very nice character from good sherry casks and also from wood - very delicate.
Just found the channel. Great content. Also interested in buying my first Highland Park for the next purchase. I've only tried HP Einar thus far, and that got me interested. Lightly peated with sweet and interesting flavours. After watching your channel, I'm just not sure what to start off with. 12, CS or 15. We have a 350ml CS in store here, so that would go for pretty cheap in comparison to the 15. The 12 is also pretty cheap here, so not sure what to go for. Any recommendation in my situation?
Welcome! We are huge fans of the Cask Strength releases. They are more intense in flavor. If you want a lighter feel, the 15 (or 12) might be better. Good luck!
Been watching for a while now, nice atmosphere in the vids, think ill use your grading system to see if bottles i buy are worth the rebuy or if the purchase is justified. thanks
I don't think younger scotches really benefit from being open for a bit, but once you get to 15 years or so, sometimes a few weeks on the bar after the neck pour really helps. Would love to see you go back to this, maybe in 6-8 weeks.
I thought this was a Highland Park Eggnog mix due to the bottle design and was admittedly very excited for Jules reaction lol.
Cracking up at Dillon: “key words: 1. missing …………….” hahaha too good! Great review. Enjoy all of your videos. Cheers!

The bottle looks like a large flattened "Veiny Member"
Great video

You guys are just flat-out the best... soooo damn funny.
99% sure Dillion has told that exact story in another video
Nice! Been looking for the 2nd release of the cask strength, but may pick this up instead as it is in-stock.

Well, congratulations & happy Year of the Tiger, ha ha!
( Or whatever. )
Man loved the energy in this episode gents, good times all around! Cheers you guys 🍷
Glad to see someone finally give Dillon a gift!
This one was ok, I prefer the twisted tattoo for the price.
OMG!!!! Dutch, what a GIFT 🎁!!!!!!
That was freaking AWESOME!!!!
Can't wait to try this one day.
My Totalwine sold out fast.
‘Amazingly proportional’ … as is balanced :-)

Dutch always pours some out for the homies.

Thanks for another awesome review. Would you recommend that bourbon drinkers reach for a Highland Park Cask Strength, or this Highland Park 15-year?
If you like your bourbon in the 100+ proof range, then yes - go for the HP Cask Strength over this. Cheaper and "louder" flavors.
@@CuriosityPublic Thank you, HP C/S is on my short list, and only my second scotch purchase. Cheers!
Have you reviewed Jacobs Pardon Batch 2?

The sweet swap is where it's at
Man I wish I could drink with you guys, always have fun

The "viking" marketing strategy feels kind of silly to me, but I do like the look of the new ceramic bottle for this

This bottle had been open for about 3 weeks by the time we reviewed it. We're definitely interested to see if it opens up more though!
@@CuriosityPublic Gotcha. thought is was a fresh crack.
Nice review gents
Thanks!
I would kill this bottle in a week and just refill it with the HP Cask Strength moving forward.
Horrible look. Thought it was half and half.
