This is a great video. I am wondering if I am seeing house centipedes at night, like 5 or 6 then I must have many many more in the cinder blocks. I have always heard do not kill the house centipede as it kills all the other bugs in the house, but I just do not like seeing them in my house. I was thinking on using Ortho home defense Max until I saw this video. Time to remove the mulch away from the house and replace with those nice White rocks. Thank you for the good information...I upgraded my landscaping with the mulch. May be due to the mulch, I am seeing so many centipedes at basement and garage. Can you recomend what is alrenative to the mulch (is it just stones)?

The millipedes are terrible. They're coming in by the thousands daily to my sons' walkout basement bedrooms.
Do you use demon max and bifen or only one or the other? Also when spraying inside what concentration do you use? Honestly with the warnings I'm scared to use demon max inside the house based on the warnings.
With the Bifen, the company I got it from Amazon put it in a hand sanitizer box to trick the shipper. And after reading the label I'm shocked that I could purchase it. Guess I need to get a hand spreader but am worried about getting the right application rate that way. Though I'd really like to just spread it with my Scott's rotary fert spreader if possible. Though I have 10.8K sq ft lawn and putting all 25lbs down seems like overkill since I'm really just trying to contain and prevent millipedes from entering the house. Ironically where they are the worst there is pavers and rock right up to the foundation. I do have mulch but its other places around the foundation where I don't have any millipede issues.
Last year we had about 10 trees taken down, the crew ground them up into mulch, tons of mulch..
It's like 2 feet deep towards the back of the yard. I don't even know we could ever get rid of it. The milipedes won't go away, I guess we have to figure something out.
Is it bad to treat your perimeter or the inside of your home more than once a month? I don't have pets or small kids but the milipedes are driving me nuts.

We have a Centipede roaming around our house, here, there, everywhere, seen him 4 times, I read that they were very shy , but this bugger is not, read that they were harmless to humans and were beneficial, since they kill roaches, we live in SE Pennsylvania, are they poisonous? I didn’t kill it because of this info, ugly and nasty looking he is!! Thanks!!

Lol it all depends on the bug issue you are having but I only treat local areas for pest control (Charlottesville, Lynchburg and Roanoke, VA) and statewide for bed bugs
