Green Akers Pest Control LLC has come up with a 4-step Bed Bug treatment plan that has been developed through years of trial and error and also tried and true methods. This is a 30 day plan GUARANTEED, as long as you follow these steps and your labels, to eliminate bed bugs in your home in 30 days or less.
Step:1 Identify the problem. Make sure that you actually have bed bugs. Many people falsely identify bed bugs, even professionals. With this video you can be sure to make sure you actually have bed bugs and get rid of them fast.
Step 2: Clean and Prepare your surfaces for treatment. Bed Bug treatment takes time to prepare for. Remove and sheets, bed bags, pillows or any other belongings from the beds and furniture. There should only be bare furniture to treat when finished.
Step 3: Treating your Bed Bug Problem. Crossfire and Alpine WSG are the pesticides we recommend (See links). Be sure to treat all box springs, sofas, recliners and futons etc. With crossfire. If crossfire is not available then try Alpine WSG. Be sure to read your label not all labels allow for the treatment of mattresses so always play it safe.
Step 4: Preventing the problem in the future (the most important step) STAY AWAY from people with BED BUGS! If you know who brought them into your home stay away and do not allow them back into your home until you are sure they have solved their Bed Bug problem. Its important to practice "tough love" in these situations.
After application you have about a 30-45 day residue that will continue to kill bed bugs even after it is applied. I recommend treating once a month until the bed bugs are completely eliminated.
Thank you for watching and remember to like and subscribe to the channel for more info on your pest control needs!

Jason, what a lovely man you seem. Great informative video engaging and to the point. In Europe we’re having a huge out break. I bought baby clothes from some one. Clothes were filthy and as I went through the bag I saw the bugs I thought I’d got rid of the bag and clothes quick enough but no. Been fighting them for months mainly with steam, it’s hard going we don’t have the same chemicals over hear. Heat treatment are the only effective legal way to get rid of them

I must commend you for your calming demeanor & giving me a sense that this is a problem I can solve/prevent myself because I don’t have the vast amount of money a professional exterminator will cost. I had bed bugs years ago & it was incredibly stressful for weeks. Bizarrely I can’t recall if we got a professional in or not but I remember using diatomaceous earth found it very effective. At the end of March I stayed in a hotel near Disney in CA & came back with bed bugs. I cleaned my house more thoroughly than ever, used the diatomaceous earth again & they seemed to die off but then after a 3 week hiatus they came back, and I feel like I have PTSD - I got sick at the same time as they returned so I didn’t have the energy to do a thorough clean so had to suffer for a week of bites AND coughing, sleepless nights. I’ve spent a small fortune on various treatments so I’m glad to have a professional recommendation of what to use. I think I’ve managed to stop the biting for the moment but I’ll get the Crossfire just to be extra sure! Thank you for the advice and mostly for giving me hope that I can resolve this myself! ❤

I saw a bed bug last night. Soon as i turned my light off i saw it scurry across a white pillow case. I had taken down a futon i got second hand, hadn't used in 2 years and was basically reserved for toys and stuffed animals in the corner of the living room. When i took it down, i put the wood peices in closets and my kids used the futon to jump on for the past 3 days. Last night, my son was putting the pillows back on the bed as they had been using them on the futon so i think it came from the futon and got into the pillow. I flung it off the pillow, found it several minutes later, killed it then stayed up all night with the lights on! 😂. I also found this video abs ordered the stuff you Mentioned right away! Stopped at the harbor freight tools and got a gallon spray canister and went to work after the kids went to school. I found ZERO indication of bed bugs. I took the futon to the dump, ripped the backing off my box spring and treated all the crevices of my mattress and box spring. I also treated the floors, around the base boards in my home, prerry much everything. I've packed up all my belongings that can be washed aside from what was hanging in my closet, and am headed to the laundromat to use the huge industrial washers. My question is..."is it normal to not see any bed bugs while treating your dwelling? I didnt see any shedded skins, blood or spots like shown on.the video either. I live in a.mutli story vuikding and i know some.of my neighbors are nasty. I also use the buildings quite often for convenience. Is there another reasonable explanation for seeing 1 bed bug other than a full blown infestation?

So I had found 1 bedbug under my bed and 1 in my bathroom. I had the heat treatment done at 135 degrees for 6 hours. Plus the furniture and mattress was sprayed with Talstar P. For two days I saw nothing and on the third night with clean sheets and a mattress encasement I got up the next morning and had four poop spots and a couple of smears on my clean sheets. No infestations were ever found and only found one dead bedbug after the heat treatment inside of a Chest type piece of furniture. What would you recommend as my next step because obviously the heat did not kill them. I live alone but I have 10 cats( indoor/outdoor, I rescue) and one dog. I do believe I saw spots on the dogs bed as well because she has clean sheets on her bed and I found three spots on her bed. What next???? I’ve driven myself insane cleaning and cleaning and being diligent about spraying alcohol on all surfaces before and after heat treatment! I’m desperate seeking a solution!!!! do bed bugs burrow or tunnel through foam mattresses or pillow stuffing?

  • @The_Bean_Daddy
    @The_Bean_Daddy 7 месяцев назад +2

Best thing I ever did was go with the most simple metal bedframe I could find that also would support a mattress without requiring a box spring. The bonus benefit to that is you don't have a box spring to move when you move, and the more simple metal bedframes are easy to tear down for moving as well. I always keep bed bug interceptors on the bed and also put double sided carpenters tape on all the legs. Obviously this doesn't solve an infestation, but I've found it has stopped future infestations and when I did have an infestation, made it easier to deal with.

I had gotten bites the past 2 weeks I thought I was allergic to Collagen Peptides because I started taking them for vitamins, but then I looked at pictures of bites and looks like bedbugs, I have not seen any and so I am freaked out so I bought the Hot Shot brand, do not even know what to do, I did take all covers off the bed and pillowcases and washed them and threw away the pillows, I took apart the bed and it is pretty old with a wooden frame, tried spraying everything, bought an encased cover for box spring and mattress after I sprayed it i put them into the casing....now after I saw a review on the hot shot stuff am sadly disappointed and creeped out more then ever!!! I am scared!!! My husband sleeps in another room and not sure if we have any but the bites are only on me, should I toss the bed and frame and box spring and treat the whole house??? We have 2 cats.....I am creeped out by bugs since living in Chicago with roaches when I was younger, HELP!!!!!!!

Hey have you tried the crossfire? I just used it yesterday and hoping for the best. I am going to retreat in a month. I was getting bites a lot. I’m still getting bit today but that’s to be expected.

Ok so I’ve applied Ortho Home Defense Max Bed Bug spray around the house.
If that’s a repellent, then how do you recommend I use CrossFire the non-repellent? Thank you.

I did the same before finding out about Crossfire. Since it's a repellent you should wait optimally 90 days before using Crossfire. We didn't wait. It helped but now getting ready to respray for the fifth time!! And we've only seen 2 live ones the 5 months we've been fighting them! After 5 weeks w/no bites we thought it was over then a tiny but painful bite on my back on den coach! I'm crying again. I can't let them break me but I'm so tired!

Eviction over bed bugs is illegal. In the state of VA it is state law Land Lords take care of bed bug infestations unless there is a bed bug addendum written into the rent agreement. I'm sorry people fail to understand the need for decent pest control in rental homes. It sounds like you are taking every step to eliminate.

How long before they would show up in interceptors? I got bit at work over a month ago and thought they were bed bugs so I had two exterminators come out and they both couldn’t find anything. The last guy put interceptors under my bed legs. It’s been over 3 weeks and haven’t caught anything but I’m still worried. I haven’t been bit in over a month

Please help! I have an almost 2 month old!
The exterminator found a lot of adult and baby bed bugs on our mattress/box spring! So had treatment done and stated we have one month warranty if we do see any again but I don’t want to keep spraying chemicals with my baby around. First time they said to stay away from apartment until 4-5 days for her. So my husband and I came back and we were trying to check the bed so we could cover with bed bug covers (we just bought) when we found a few babies. What should we do? Should we vacuum the mattress/box spring where we see the dead ones? I panic I just want to throw away the whole mattress and box spring lol I don’t do bugs 😭 lol

I have a rather bad infestation. I planned to discard my couch and bed rather than simply applying treatment because there are some extremely serious and visible signs in aeeas such as the button tuft on the couch as well as places on my bed where the critters have dedicated. I've tried to remove the black marks with very little success.

So your saying it’s possible you could only have a few bed bugs? I figured if you see on me there are many more and I thought they would breed quickly. I’m using Crossfire and it does seem to be working but a few weeks will go by and I’ll see one or two or even three but I never see a lot of them since doing the treatments.

I've had who is considered the best pest service in my area with heat treatment and spot treat since September 2020. They never see any....but I get a line of scratches. It looks like I ran into a rose bush... I'm sure it began as attempts to bite. I spray with crossfire, alcohol, a non toxic and sometimes Harris. Still can't stop a line of scratches every so often. I too appreciate Jason Akers!!! I hope one day I get them all!

Three months ago my daughter woke up with bites. We would find new bites literally every Saturday, always a clusternof 4-6 bites. We tore everything apart and never found signs of anything! But i bagged everything, dried everything, and used Diatomaceous Earth :( she was bite free for 2 months and literally two days ago we found a cluster of bites on her shoulder. I feel so defeated and stressed. I have a steamer and am getting crossfire.
Should i take everything out of her drawers and books and spray the shelves and drawers? We still havent found anything so i have no idea where theyre coming from.
