Fighting Like a Heavyweight: Big Striped Bass at the Cape Cod Canal

I caught this hefty fish right on the heels of an even bigger 46# Striped Bass, my personal best. Clearly the big fish were out on this morning. Even though this one wasn't as big, it fought nearly as hard.

If your having trouble gaining ground on a bass try making short pumps instead of long lifts. There’s a lot you can do to turn those fish in current but letting them stay in control is a dangerous game to play! Especially with so many anglers down current!!!
