The Goliath Grouper is a large, heavy-bodied fish native to the Atlantic Ocean and Gulf of Mexico. It can grow up to 8 feet long and weigh up to 800 pounds. The Goliath Grouper is a slow-moving, solitary predator that feeds on a variety of fish and crustaceans, and is often found around shipwrecks and other underwater structures. Due to overfishing, the Goliath Grouper was listed as an endangered species in 1990, and fishing for it is now prohibited in US waters. Conservation efforts are underway to help the species recover.
Ramp monsters are giant salt water fish in the Boat Ramp canals on 15th street in Fort Lauderdale known for their incredible strength and immense size. They are called ramp monsters because they are found at the Boat Ramp, causing havoc and destruction in their wake. These beasts are said to be nearly unstoppable, and many who have encountered them have not succeeded. Some believe that they are guardians of the deep, while others see them as harbingers of doom. Regardless of their true nature, one thing is certain: ramp monsters are a force to be reckoned with.

So the one Goliath says to the other Goliath..."you eat it this time. All that will happen is you get your jaw pulled, you play tug o war for a few minutes, you swim under the dock a little, roll over and say uncle and taa daa.....a free meal. Oh yea...try to rack his nuts a few times for grins...go ahead take the bait. laugh....
I get a kick out of watching you do this... every time.. 😂. Awesome
O'Gormon rules! best fishing with humorous commentary!
That line is so tight it sounds like a guitar string LOL
this is what ive been waiting for this whole month
I was waiting for a dude to come by saying...
"WORK IT BABY, WORK IT"
LOL
Amazing job...you wore me out just watching!
I would never be able to land a fish anywhere near that big at my age. I'd have to hook up the winch on my truck, hook and bait it, then let the fun begin! ::grinning::
Thanks for the support Toddy!
A pair of pliers would be handy for the hook! Keep some on you at all times (I use forceps myself but the fish I catch ain’t a tenth that big).
Plus have you ever thought of investing in a harness for the rod, instead of using your ball sack and ass crack? Just a thought.
Reel guys dont need a harness
@@zeiwow0 real guys also don't need a buddy to help hold the rod and pull the line.
When you use a harness you are usually strapped down to a chair. If you are standing on the dock and the fish actually pulls you in the water, you are pretty certain to get drowned. Just sayin.
symie8 I mean he’s been doing it without a harness, And flip flops on a wet surface. It’s cool but kinda dangerous
This is what all TV Fishing shows should be like. Great Job Guys !!
You are THE MAN!.........Ramp Monsters!!.........For real!
Man, that is the same fish he catches in every video, he got that big ole boy trained lol
All the fish are different.
I know bro, just kidding
Stainless hook?? That fish is 💀
Kyung Kim805 - That's what I'm wondering, too. Stainless steel hooks should be phased out, especially in the larger sizes, because they do not rust out quickly enough to save the fish's life, like non stainless hooks, and big fish break off much more often than smaller ones. No large hooks should be stainless. An exception MIGHT be OK for lures, though it would be best to stop allowing the use of ANY stainless steel hooks.
Yep killed an endangered species and documented it lol what a dummy.
Unbelievable some of the fish he catches from this spot. Just right there around boats and people, alot of boat traffic, etc. And there are 400+lb grouper. Just crazy.
Thats why they stopped us from fishing there. They banned it!
Awesome! Wish I could’ve stayed longer to watch you catch that monster!!
Should tag the grouper to see roughly how many there are in the harbour(around your fishing spot).
All we do is catch the same fish, consecutively all day long. Cue Dramatic walk out
did you forget to grab the hook out of its mouth?
How many times are you gana catch that fish?
same spot.same few fish.
How deep is that water and how can so many RAMP MONSTERS live in this spot?!
Nice!
I see you living it up big boats and fishing reels 😊😂🎣🐟🎣. I still have the old fishing reel because I don't have big money for the new one's 😂😊🎣🐟🎣🐟🎣. Zarail aka Z 🐟🎣
Where are you catching them
12.30 min. stupit dangerous move, around your hand
O'Gorman for president!
I would like to know what reel and rod was used? Does anyone know
Penn Senator 120 and a Custom 10’ Rod

Awesome, never seen anything like this! Great videos...
Sick vids brotha keep them comeing thanks...
I have had a good time in Korea.
i need to have a rod made like the one you are using for your Shimano triton, who built it for you?
A local rod builder Steve Osment in Fort Lauderdale. I don’t know if he is still building.
@@MulletTV , much appreciated brother
Keeping it real at the ramp. Great vid guys
These videos pain me to watch. Buy a stand up harness and save your balls, please! One little mistake with a fish like that and you’ll be a falsetto in no time
Psychosis508 Falsetto! 😂😂😂
I sure wished we had them in Texas I would love to catch one great job on that catch 💪🏻
Wow! Great video. Thanks for sharing brother.
Please give.. rod name and reel machine. details
Why you leave the hook in his mouth if you can’t get the hook out his mouth at least eat them or something
They’re protected. We did the best we could.
So much time wasted and you guys never take theses fish home and make a big Aquarium for them . lol
that big fish bro..even in my country that big is so rare to catch..i think u should put a tag on fish that you caught..good luck from malaysia
Where are you at catching these fish?
You need to take responsibility for the fish you catch and let them rest for a good 10minutes after catching them holding them up in the water so they don't drown. Ever watch River Monsters? Learn from the professionals.
This is Ramp Monsters.
O GORMAN IS BACK YES
Years ago a young guy was dredging out a spillway in Des Moines Iowa area with his Jeep and his vehicle started going backwards into the spillway and had to get a tow truck to pull it out and on the end of the dredge hook was a sludgepuppie. It's a fish that sits in the water and eats anything that goes by.
what knife is this ?
Hey man where did you get your fishing rods from
They are custom made
Nice Uni knot. The only knot youll ever need to know.
do it again with a kayak
Sam iNbfk yea please do. 😂. I’ll pay to see that
Sam iNbfk 😂😂😂😂
400 fishpower unsteerable outboard fish-powered motor, zero emissions
Good job guys !!
That shirt is awesome!
look mate iv just sub your channel and i like your videos but please take this advice on bored always take the hook out no mater what it shows respect to the fish and the viewers its not hard never cut the line again please
This channel doesn’t accept advice at this time. Thank you and good luck.
How would you do that? Stick your whole hand inside that monster? It was too deep inside the fish. Nice job O'Gorman. Your a hell of a fisherman. My biggest is only a 40 lb catfish.
@@Gordonsmusic911 something like this could probably do the job: www.amazon.com/dp/B01N5AMLOS/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_i_EFQXCbZYK1Q7S
@@MulletTV your a fucking legend
Hmmm? Wow!! Definitely impressive. Keep posting.., the anticipation is more exciting than the other lame fishing shows.
Awesome vid👍👍👍👍
Have you ever thought about getting yourself a gimbal belt and a harness?? laying your rod on that railing definitely don't do it any good. Plus so you don't lose a finger get yourself a nice pair of Kevlar gloves when you grab that leader.
Good fish
Are these edible? Damn you could feed a village with one! I like that you catch and release
My mate in u.k told me about this tonight,I wasn't dissapointed well done lads great video!
Damn where is this at. I would love to catch some
Damn! Like realling in a frigging Buick!
Nice Fishing.
Where is the hook?????
Hook inside???????????????
Yes, hook inside. It must be dead.
I'm more surprised at the fact that a second Goliath appeared at 11:40 being even bigger than the one being fished. The size of those fishes there is just massive.
How many times is he going to keep ripping hook holes into the same group of fish's lips day after day?
Wtf are you doing with the hand lining what you reckon that rods for🤔 massive noddies
Where are they fishing at, FL. ??
Fort Lauderdale
Thats some reel shit O'Gorman. Keep getting those monsters
Why cut the thread and leave the hook stuck in her mouth ???
Your camera records a little bad
Why you didn't record the first fish T_T
why did you leave the hook inside?
I didn't know they made 500 lb test mono. Damn, that's some beastly line. You'd need something ridiculous though. With those pilings and the fact that youre hooking 400-500 lb fish.
That last fish is dead. Swallowed the hook, it ain't coming out. Might as well have kept it and ate it.
Nah, that hook will eventually rust away and dissolve. Js
He'd go to prison whether it was dead or not. He's using a huge circle hook, he's doing everything he can.
*The camera man seems more interested in filming that decal on his shirt than the actual Event scenes, and FISH!* ...[FAIL]
That the same fish again?
No, like the 12th different one.
Yes same one whether it's day or night! Hasn't laid eyes on the fish but it's a 200pounderlol
Hey bro I like the videos but pick on a new fish for a while
Bring it on. "fish On"
hey in the end of the video you did cut the line ! and the hook it is inside of his mouth dont let that cute ball fish with a hook in mouth you should remove the hook now is too late....!! -.-
He will live no problem. The hooks will not last in freshwater much less salt. Sometimes you will hurt the fish more trying to get the hook out than by just leaving it in to fall out a few days later
If it's not a stainless steel hook, it will rapidly rust and fall out. But many "saltwater" hooks are stainless. There should be laws against stainless steel hooks, especially when they're large hooks, considering the number of fish that break the line when you're fishing for the "big ones." You'd have to replace hooks more often, but hooks that rust quickly help keep the fish populations robust.
The use of circle hooks helps prevent fish from swallowing the hook. They're a good choice when targeting fish that must be released, such as Goliath Grouper.
People always say that, but I have pulled so many hooks out of the water after years of being there and they are still strong. I even caught a bass when i was a kid that had 4 hooks in its mouth - different flies. I have always doubted that they actually fall out of a fish mouth. It likely dies, and possibly gets consumed by bigger animals and maybe lodge in their stomach. I wonder what the truth really is.
@@AmericanMadeAdventures Been fishing for over 40 years now on a weekly basis and have yet to pull another hook out of a fishes mouth that I have caught. I've seen the holes where they were caught at one time or another, but never a hook.
Are those big grouper still there ?
Yes but they outlawed fishing at the ramp.
@@MulletTV ..hey cap ...can we do a land-based trip for a giant Goliath?? I have a 14 ott senator with 300 ft of 500lb lider...please let me know...il be back in Florida end of next week...321-223-9512
I think its hilarious that in each video I've watched every fish he catches he says its about 200 pounds heavier than what it is when he's fighting it!!
Wrong. Weights are accurate to within 10 lbs. We will go look at you’re fish though. Do you understand?
Are there any good ramps near the Central FL area? Like the beaches closer to here?
Good i like
Haha sick shirt dude..I want one haha
amazing ... amazing...... angler greetings from bugis soppeng - macassar - indonesia
Your amazing!
If the grouper swallowed the hook there is no retrieving it. Also whem he was trying to retrieve it the grouper would thrash and go back down leaving O'Gorman at risk being tied up and drug down into the water.
Is this in fl
Yes Fort Lauderdale
What set up are you using?
I have been hunting and fishing hardcore for 30 years. Bro I would give you the shirt off my back
1:20 camera guy is a little slow on the uptake.
3:10 If he can pull the line why can't you just reel it in?#
If these fish are protected I don't see the point of what you are doing. You fish from the same spot, after the same fish, and you cause them pain and stress for no reason. You cut the line and left a huge stainless steel hook in it's throat.
Ok you proved the point there are big fish in this harbour but why keep doing it when they are protected.
Studies show these large fish as well as large catfish suffer high mortality rates after release. Thems the facts.
What gear were you using?
Awesome...👍
you have a good life
Where is this at?
How much did that huge rod cost? Just the rod Alone. I'm sure the line itself was a couple hundred
wish you guys would post more videos
Nice fish
Baby, you can ramp my monster any time.....
I think they're started fishing over a small rod
until they realize how big those fish underneath them
