Monster Grouper Spinning Tackle Fishing Challenge

- This is the first time I've ever gone fishing for goliath groupers using spinning tackle, by far one of the most difficult fishing challenges I've ever participated in. Goliath groupers are incredibly strong fish and most fishermen wouldn't even dare to attempt what we do in this video. I chose Dennis Verreet, one of the best land-based spinning tackle fishermen to join me on this fishing challenge.

You should show more of the underwater footage of the fish when they bite it. It's really cool!!!!

Great vid, very impressed with the stella & the dogfight!! Those rods are awesome also. For a little guy BlacktipH u r a fighter. BlacktipH & Dennis there is one thing I would like to say to u guys & it is spiral stenosis. Once you start dealing with herniated disc , nerve damage, & thickened ligaments you can run into some trouble. But I love the passion & grit u guys display!

This is a dream trip for most people. That said, I have never asked another man to hold my rod. If I can't catch it myself, the fish gets the win. This is like a tag team vs a single dude. The closest I have ever come to asking for help was a big bull shark on a charter trip about 5 years ago. That one almost broke me but in the end I got him to the boat without assistance(apart from the deckhand gaffing for me).

Great video! Just curious what exactly you mean with an 80-wide like you were saying. I was also trying to get an idea of where out of Florida you are fishing and roughly how deep of water? You guys are awesome and any advice is greatly appreciated. We caught a blue marlin 18nm off of Hollywood/ft laud about a month ago.
