Three things: 1. Love you guys and appreciate all the consistent uploads with content that is fresh and genuine. 2. On your outline cuts, keep the knife at the same angle as the fillet. Approx. 10 degrees downward towards fillet 3. Instead of the pull pause pull pause cuts, try to drag the knife in longer smoother cuts as if the knife is a 6ft long Samurai sword Not trying to diss the fillet job because it was beautiful just adding in possible new tips or tricks Keep doing what you guys do as it is working and a pleasure to watch. Much love for Landshark
I been watching your videos for awhile. Even if i couldn't get fishing spot here, i never missed the vibe because of you. And great of you to share with family which matters the most. Thank you, Keep inspiring! 👍
Another great video Vik, It was good seeing your dad in the video, knockout cooking segment again. Your the man, remain blessed and keep the video's coming 👍 💯 💥 ☝
What you said about the jig how you know you always have bait on not like fishing with beat when you get to the bottom that might fall off that was a pretty good point I never thought of that that's why you and my boy are the GOATS of the ocean....
Can you do a video dedicated to slow pitch jigging with recommended rods, line, leader and reels? I'm on the west coast in southern California. Rockfishing is my fav.
A 30lb gag on 20lb line from beyond 100ft depth is truly remarkable! Congrats and Thanks Vik for your masterful angling and for providing us with another great show. Looking forward to your next episode. Regards
Man what an accomplishment catching that 30lb gag on a slow pitch setup! I'm jealous. Lol You had me wondering if you were gonna be able to finesse him out of his hole. Keep the slow pitch videos coming
That was some nice fish amazing video and you can't go wrong with good food and good friends the food looked delicious 😋😋 can't wait for the next one 👍👍💯🇹🇹🇹🇹
Victor that happened with my accurate 500n while in motion the lever dropped stared free spooling in the inlet a boat caught the line snapped the rod at the base of the rod holder i got so lucky caught it mid air as it was flying off the boat.Nice to see there are still quality fish in our area
Great gag grouper catch. My personal best a 72 pound black grouper caught on 15 pound Ande mono, 60 pound mono leader, 3 Oz white bucktail jig with 3 7 O hooks rigged in tandem and whole ballyhoo. 135 feet between the Elbow and Carysfort. Plugcasting fiberglass rod Ambassadeur 6500 reel, Fish of a lifetime.
Great gag grouper catch. Love deep jigging for grouper. My personal best a 72 pound black grouper on 15 pound Ande mono, 60 pound mono leader, 3 Oz white bucktail with tandem 7 o hooks with whole ballyhoo, 135 feet in Key Largo between Elbow and Carysfort. Fish of a lifetime!
Quick question: why aren’t you guys getting sharked more on these hook ups? I feel like not being able to rip a fish up would lead to more fish getting eaten. Although it could work conversely in the sense that the lack of panic from the fish does not attract the sharks the same way. Let me know your thoughts man! And Ryan’s too! Love both of y’all’s stuff.
I really enjoy you and Brooks vids thank you for what you do. I do have one favor to ask. What’s the best shark recipe? I’ve got a sharped nose, it’s the best feel and smell next to a young flathead out of crystal clean water. If you or Brook have a minute I would appreciate a good recipe. Love what y’all do.
I'm gonna start fishing by getting a pedal kayak and fishing licenses. I wanna catch some snook. I don't want it to break the bank! What kind of fishing tackle should I try and get first?
I always enjoy so much your videos !!! I just have a question , why you dont use the spine and the head of the fish , particurarly the big ones , to make a broth or a soup ???
Hey Victor. I have a few questions. Been fishing in South Florida for a few years doing slow pitch but not having near the success you are. I think I am fishing too thick of line on my slow pitch. I believe my slow pitch setup has 50 lb braid. We are super successful with high speed but slow pitch has been slowwwww. Are you using 20 lb braid on the slow pitch setup most of the time? Also what reel are you using? How much braid are you spooling on your slow pitch reels? What is your drag setting with your line of choice? I notice you fish some really deep depths. I have struggled getting the slow pitch tuned just right especially at depths below 250 ft. We have caught a lot of fish on slow pitch but feel I am missing something. Great videos man. Keep up the good work.
I see you like the "Left Handed" reel. It's actually a right handed real. that's what i use. I never could understand these guys having to switch hands so they can reel with their right hand and hold the rod with their left hand. If you're right handed you want that rod in your right hand.
I do. Not much reason to go heavier, realistically the combined force on your rod and reel isn't gonna be much more than 20lbs to begin with. Plus, most decent 20lb braid on the market actually has a far higher breaking strength when tested-- it's just marketed lower than that so that the manufacturers can make sure their labeling is accurate.
Love the vid... but gotta tell you publix fish is fresh.. seafood department gets 6 deliveries a week of fresh never frozen sustainable fish! Don't hate without checking it out, . Tight lines!
Why didn’t anyone want the amberjack? They make great sashimi, age them for a week and it will be one of the best sashimi you’ve ever had. Try aging fish, you will love it.
Hey Victor I just wanna say out of all the outdoor channels ur channel is the only one where I can watch a video a the way thru without skipping thru video
great score mate just a suggestion (for you an all who get into same situation), when the grouper gets to the rocks and spreads gills and its back's spikes there's usually no chance to get it out. A good and functional practice with high chance of getting it out is to make the line max tight and then tap it with your thumb. This trembling gets the grouper really mad and doing it few times can make the beast move. And that's the time where you have to 'pump' like crazy for bringing it up fast.
That Gag was a total unit!!! Even the biggest jigs are only as big as a large Ballyhoo. Damn sure not too big. That Gag beats my PB and also bigger than any Gag i have had on my boat in years of Charter fishin. Good stuff
Great fish and even a greater Dinner it was great seeing your dad and his wife you and Brooks make really great video's my mouth is eateries you make amazing dinner and you do them fast am learning so much seeing you cook thanks a lot for these videos.

That was a beast of a grouper! Almost as impressive is how you perfectly cook filets as thick as those. Nicely done 👍
Thank you for the shout out on the Rosemary! The blackened Grouper looked great!
The temperature outside my house is -28C. Your video warms me up. Cheers from 🇨🇦

"อร่อยมาก" Thank you Victor for liking Thai food. I would like to say that grouper can cook many delicious Thai dishes. ^^
Good fillet job on the grouper, I was in the seafood business for a long time and always used Dexter Russell knives.
Can you do a video dedicated to slow pitch jigging with recommended rods, line, leader and reels? I'm on the west coast in southern California. Rockfishing is my fav.
My recommendation is look at the Johnny Jigs website for products and his You Tube videos for how to fish the products.

I am glad you acknowledged Benny Ortiz. You should have told everyone you were high speed trolling when you lost all your line.
Ahhhhhh Jupiter Florida home to the St Louis Cardinals and Miami Marlins spring training down in Rodger Dean Chevrolet Stadium .

It’s storming in Texas this morning, too!
Living the dream bro from london sending love
We always on grouper charters if they get in the rocks give them slack and put the rod in a rod holder until we see him bending the rod.
Me when he uploads🎉😁
bro you guys are having a blast. the only fish left to catch is a whale. your videos are super awesome
Perfeck fishing 👍👍👍

The area we are fishing isn’t very sharky but they are out there lol

what reel is that lefty u using?
hope you got all the line back so it doesn't potentially tangle another fish up
You were only using 20lb test braid on that rod you caught the 2 big groupers with?
Yes 20lb tufline link is in bio

Anytime you accidently lose line in the water you should donate a $ to a "seaturtle rescue". :) And make a shoutout to that non profit
ask for eggrolls and stewed beef
If you hired me as a cameraman you will be saving my life and letting live my dreams 🤗
Studd Gag!!!!!
Man I can’t figure out what reel that is.. definitely wanna get into jigging!
Shimano Ocea Jigger F Custom
Would’ve tried to jig for that line. It might wrap around some fish and kill them
