i think i can speak for everyone of your followers, when i say that it's so awesome to see you make videos again, let alone FIX A SUPER FAMICOM CART!!! AWESOME LUKE!!!! PLEASE DONT DISAPPEAR ON US, AGAIN. YOUR FAN SINCE 2008
Very very kind of you to say there Bryan. I only try to make these vids out of my passion to keep them from going to the landfill. I am honored to have had so many people like yourself who continue to follow the channel and watch these vids. Thank you for sticking on over the years and Ill try to keep going as long as I can here.
Quick tip Luke. To save the chance of eating up the screw heads, spray a little WD-40 (or better yet ACF 50) and let it soak first. It will clean up the rot and also loosen the screw threads.
For sure. Just a little hiccup on the board but glad it is saved from the trash. I appreciate the kind words as always and hope you are also doing well.
Luke your videos have such a warm spot in my heart I’ve been watching since 2012 😊 I recently moved to ishikawa actually, so if you are ever in Kanazawa I’d like to buy you a coffee. Thanks for all the entertainment over the years 😊
Im not sure what to say but thank you... you are too kind. I really appreciate the positive words even though these off the cuff vids a just for fun. Thanks Shiba!
Thanks mate! Just a simple fix but glad it wasnt trashed. I think this was a Japanese release only on the SFC? I might be wrong though. I never knew about the home computer version but that is some great info! Really hope you are doing well man and thanks as always!
Been a hot minute since we've seen a repair video. man, that cart definitely looked like it was in rough shape! I remember reading about this one in game magazines, it seemed like a fun one. lately I've been collection SFC stuff (since I have a retron 2, so no region locks!) so definitely thinking of looking this one up! hope to see a proper gameplay video in the future for sure.
Yes indeed man. I havent had a whole lot of stuff to put up as far as repair vids go but when I saw this trashed game I figured I would give it a try. There are definitely a lot of great games out there for the super famicom so hopefully you can pick up a few good titles for yourself soon! Thanks as always!
@@lukemorse1 of course! the repair stuff is always fun to watch for sure. I did recently pick up a couple (space invaders, FF6, and DBZ super butoden 2) so been enjoying collecting SFC stuff for sure.
Thanks man, Yeah, just saving it from the dump. The washing isnt always the most fun, thats for sure lol. Thanks as always and hope your streams are still rocking as usual!
That is a fair overview of the game for sure. I used to think that a lot of those movie based games were iffy but nothing as rough as Home Alone 2 on the snes lol.
I wish the gameplay of Pro Evolution Soccer The Arcade/World Soccer Winning Eleven Arcade Game Style and World Soccer Winning Eleven Arcade Game Style 2003 please
You mean taking a chance on a game not knowing if it will make money or not lol? thats for sure. Now we see a lot of "HD" and "remastered" and "best of" , always cool to see what the indie market has though! thanks Jakeman!
Hi Luke. I love your videos. I’ve been following you for about 12 (I guess). I suggest you do a new video about you and your daily life in Japan. I think you made two videos about that but are really old. I would really like to see a new one! Thanks!
Yeah buddy, it's always a highlight of my day to see a new video from you. I hope you're well too. I'm not going to lie, I've had a rough few years since 2020.(I know a lot of us have!) Some health problems came up, which I'm dealing with now, but I'm still here. :)
dude seeing you use a chemical and then water on a board is making me so nervous haha, I didn't think that was even possible...I always thought doing that would fry it
Nah just let it dry out. We use rubbing alcohol when soildering so why wouldn't it work? You don't work with electronics do you? We also use chemicals like cleaner to clean up drink spills and corrosion on PCBs and components.
@@danerd8978 A++ all around! you nailed it there. Its amazing how cola seems to do so much damage to a pcb and yet we drink the stuff lol. Thanks for the great input!
Its an interesting one to give a shot. If you are able to source one cheap it may be worth it. I think the going price on them now is around $40 or so? cart only.
Luke, im a long time subscriber of yours 🙂 Always enjoy watching your videos of arcade board repair or related to console game restoration. Did you ever get that Robocop 2 Data East board working? Btw I found a good way to store Jamma boards. I use brand new plain looking pizza boxes, then I print out the games logo, year and the make of the game all on one strip. I then laminate it and stick it on the spine side of the pizza box. Keeps them stored safely and looking really tidy (can show you pics if you ever wanted to see). Would love to see more of your collection vids or repairs, and arcade talk gameplay. Take care Mike 👍
I mentioned that in the video but it is partially due to the s-video cable and the monitor being used. Checking online, the system also seems to be well known for these issues!
This video gave me a nostalgic smile . Repairing and moding consoles is now my work and i remember watching so many of your early videos when i was learning . This video remind me of this time . Thanks !!
That is an awesome story there! Im really glad to hear that some of the old videos could give you a bit of some motivation to get where you are. Im a pretty simple guy here, nothing really flashy, just enough to get the job done :) Thanks again!

Saved from the grave. I love it. Perfectly said. Been watching your channel for years. Thanks again for all of the excellent content Luke.
Lol, for sure! thanks for the kind words and continued support over the years, I really appreciate it a lot!
Hope you're doing well Luke.
Been getting back into fixing game stuff as well lol actually swapped rom chips with a Japanese Pokémon game
That is some pretty awesome stuff there! congrats on that and keep those old games alive! good to hear from you
No plutonium or flux capacitors needed for this repair
Well, we did use "Flux" and we replaced a bad "Capacitor" so technically.... LOL! Thanks for watching!
Holy shit! This dude is uploading again!? Haven't watched a video from you in like 5-6 years lol.
HAHA, yeah, I upload vids every now and then (mostly arcade stuff) but still here. Thanks for stopping by Carlos and hop you are well
Quick tip Luke. To save the chance of eating up the screw heads, spray a little WD-40 (or better yet ACF 50) and let it soak first. It will clean up the rot and also loosen the screw threads.
Good tip there! I use it like crazy on other parts and it would have worked well in this case too! thanks
Not much, but it's honest work. You make it a joy to watch Luke. Hope you're doing well.

Cool, didn’t know about this game. Japanese exclusive I guess!
Yeah, its a bit of an unknown game but a neat one. Quite a lot of stuff to throw you off in the game though. Thanks Seth!

Classically and elegantly saved from the grave, never count Luke out on these videos! :D
Peter, very kind of you to say. Thank you for the nice words and for checking the videos. I really appreciate it a lot!
Great job Luke!!! Wasn't aware of this game - I though it was the same game ported from the home computer versions...

Refurbished by DKoldies...
HAHA!! only the first part when I took it out of the bag right! "We clean every console and game before shipping" "Thoroughly tested"
Amazing restoration Luke ❤
Luke, do you have the Goonies game, I used to play that one a lot and I don't know if it came out for any home consoles...
I do have "A" goonies game but its on the Famicom. Not a bad one but a bit challenging.
So it probably never made it to USA?
Another great vid Luke!
Awesome of you to say, thank you!
Hope you had a good Halloween, Luke!
A crusty but trusty cartridge!

It's always great when you upload these, keep at it Luke!
I fixed a Mario Kart similar to this a few years back, even had to jump one or two traces
That is an awesome story there! you are saving those games as well! Thanks for the kind words and will do!
Nice work. I think with that level of degradation I would remove the rear label.
Thanks a lot! Yeah, I thought about that too as well as the front label but in the end I just decided to keep it with its original patina lol.

Hope you’re well, thanks for all the incredible content, restoration and preservation. You should be recognized for your efforts.
I would love to have this original cart in this condition aslong as it still works. Was pricey even 15 years ago!
