- This is a tekken tag tournament pcb with a bright green background and missing unstable video sync. The colors are all off and the picture isnt correct. This video is taking a look at video output and color problems on a Namco Tekken Tag Tournament PCB.

Sent this vid to alot of my friends in my local fighting game community, we have an arcade up in northwestern Denver metro and they had a Tag 1 cab but I never knew that they had that interface within the testing menu as I've troubleshooted one before, crazy stuff LOL

I've had that problem in the past, all I did was went into the test mode and reset the color settings to their defaults. These Namco boards have individual color adjustments in the test menu. It also works for Tekken 3.
Definitely something I never knew here. Its good to know that the colors can be adjusted this way.

It reminds me when I got my CMVS from Jamma Nation X. After about 2 weeks it stopped working. I emailed James who was very patient, helpful and knew exactly what the problem was. I learned a lot.
I learned not to go into board settings and change things without (A) knowing what the setting does & (B) taking note of what I changed and its default value.
Important life lesson!

Wow! Awesome video. Just when you think you knew everything about a said game. Always assumed it was just a mode to sharpen or blur the edges with the interlaced option. Then to adjust your actual monitor itself. Didn't realize these options took place within the game. Cool to still learn hidden tricks decades later.
If someone messes with this too much, and botched the settings up. I'm not sure how you would reset it to the default numbers without resetting the whole board. (I didn't see green font, which means default) Maybe go into mame and load up TTT1 and go into the options to see what the default numbers are.

Wow i encountered this same problem on a voodoo graphics 4mb lately, i had a pink tint but it wasn't a matter of gamma but texture mapping apparently, i was not able to fix it.
Maybe if you go back and revisit it you may find the fault. Ive fixed a couple of voodoo graphics cards by replacing the ram on the board but there are a lot of ram chips on there. Good luck to you!

Nothing recently. Hard Off prices started going up several years ago and I think they may have hit a record high. I would love to try some taco bell though lol.
May try to look into my Tekken 2 menu. Those Tekken games get addicting. Those off colors may have made your sync look off/act up also ?
So just boils down to a color setting being way too high? Who woulda thought it would be that easy, haha. but hey a board saved is a board saved! looking forward to some more gameplay on this one.

Hey Luke sorry off topic just curious have you ever encountered this problem Have with a Super Famicom game Yoshi island and when i start a new save the goes through the intro story about half way the the graphics start to corrupt and it freezes any ideas anyways thanks for your videos
