    Looking at this, it amazes me that this is basically a playstation 2

    Yeah, I think system 246/256 comes pre-cursed from the factory.

    It’s 2022 and I still can’t emulate Soul Calibur 3 Arcade Edition and Cobra The Arcade on my computer smdh

    That is the cleanest 256 I've ever seen. Mine is fucking filthy and doesn't even have the top cover. My 246 _does_ have the top cover, but the ribbon cable on the side won't fit if the cover is on, so I dunno what's going on there...

    I'd like to see someone hacking this thing to run normal PS2 games

      Id recommend getting into Arcade facebook groups and see if anyone has one they want to sell because Ebay is crazy expensive and the hobbyists will try to get you everything you need to or at least point you in the right direction. I dont have the equipment to allow for lightguns, but I highly recommend Candy Cab Collectors on facebook

    Hi there, I'm trying to repair one of these for a local arcade and I'm trying to source a compatible DVD drive. It's a Tekken 5 DR cabinet. Do you have any suggestions for either a specific model or place to get one? Thank you.

      I don't know of one, but I found this thread about compatible drives www.arcade-projects.com/threads/ide-dvd-roms-for-the-246-256-that-do-and-dont-work.3249/. If you were in LA id sell you the whole unit if you wanted it lol I havent touched it since I did this video. Id have to dig it out of storage

      @@BNGamesYT I'm in New England so no dice there unless you wanted to ship just the DVD drive. Thank you for the link regardless!

      Facebook Arcade Groups are the easiest way.

    Would the Namco NTSC board allow you to run games on s-video??

    • @BNGamesYT
      @BNGamesYT  2 года назад +1

      No, this requires a Jamma connector. if you have a Jamma board that can convert video to S-Video then maybe but most converters convert to SCART or VGA
