The programmers of this game once said that they were inspired by Starsky and Hutch. But the two main protagonists are definitely more similar to Tango and Cash tho.
When I was a child my mother and I used to play this game in the Arcade near my house. My dad left us, but my mom took care of us and also gave me the most beautiful and awesome childhood that I ever dreamed. Thank u mom, I'll always love you.

@@franciscor390 well you can dual wield if you want, there's 3 controller in this arcade, 1 driving wheels, and 2 guns, supposedly, 1P supposed to drive and shoot and 2P just shoot. But you can just let 1P just drive and 2P take all the guns (dual wield) The way I used to play is that I drive, my friend use 1 gun and my little brother use the driver's gun...

There is much potential in giving 2D games a 3D effect with the use of line scrolling, parallax layers and perspectives. The 3DS had some great use of Sega classics re-engineered to use every graphics layer possible to give a very convincing 3D effect.

I remember when they had this arcade at GameWorks in Las Vegas! They always had to one up each arcade, make it more extra then it normally is... with Lucky & Wild they had two screens. One in the front, and one in the back. So player two really had to step it up, and shoot forward and backwards. It was crazy but a lot of fun!

This game was truly great! These two guys murder hundreds per stage, likely hundreds off screen with their raging gun battle, and then it's off to the garage to have their crankshafts oiled by professionals! They don't make them.like this anymore and that makes me a sad panda.

Same here, I played i with my sister who hated video games in general but enjoyed some, this being one of those. We tried a few times with me driving, catching the first few gangsters but then losing. After getting some more coins, we switched and with her driving we almost beat the whole game, although all the bosses escaped XD Sadly we didn't make it to the final showdown before running out of quarters so big cigar won in the end

Were there more speakers attached to the console that aren't being emulated here or something? I swear the characters had more one-liners and goofy banter than just "LET'S GO!" and "AHHH" at the beginning of every stage. I distinctly remember Lucky complaining about his windows getting shot out in like every level, and the faces in the mirror imply they're talking a lot more, too.
I'm not familiar with the real thing, so I couldn't say for sure if this is different or not. I didn't see any mention of this under bugs on the mametester website, although not every single bug is already listed there. They weren't talking that much throughout the game. Sound emulation for Arcade games aren't 100%, especially for games with a lot going on in a technical sense like this one.

I used to play that game every day. I had an excellent time. What guy wouldn't enjoy game that involves both shoot-outs and car chases, topping it off by being greeted (and treated) by gorgeous mechanics?
