My imagination currently: balan is in smash, whenever he wins, one of these 3 songs is his victory theme. The person dancing alongside him would be whoever was in 2nd place, and anyone who was also in the fight would be the backup dancers.
Things I learned from this video: The cutscenes really are like the only good part of this thing And the devs care more about making their own language than making a good game
The thing is is that there's no immersion, I can more easily imagine a random dude in a mocap suit doing these dances than I can the actual characters doing them.
Watching all of these back to back, the only thing I notice is that, except for the last one with Balan, there are only 3 songs and choreographies the two at the center use. The only things that really change are the secondary dancer's costumes, the camera angles and the way the stage moves. Even then, those of similar song and choreography feel like the stage moves in similar fashion as the others as well.
Tbh if I came hovering down from the skies, I would be the only one to fall flat on my face and struggle without any success to get up from my kinship with the nonexistent floor as everyone else does the flash mob without me

Motion capture was such a BAD idea. It's a useful tool, but looks uncanny on stylized characters without extensive edits, which clearly didn't happen here.
