I feel like there's some form of sequel bait with Lance's and Balan's human-like forms. For one, Balan's tear seems to imply that the drops you find everywhere came from Lance somehow. And where is Lance Banished to? What connection does he have to Balan? I feel like if they were given more time, there could have been more story, even flashback cutscenes as completion rewards instead of just...hatless Balan dancing.
Yeah I agree with you. I'm going to read the book over the next couple days to see if it fills in any of those gaps specifically and I'll try and make a video summarizing it if I find some interesting details!
yeah, cutscenes are always so amazing compared to the gameplay. We're slowly getting closer and closer to having it all be seemless. I still can't believe how amazing FF7 remake looked, so excited for the PS5 upgrade :)
Not gonna lie, I almost cried- no I DID cry at the ending and final number. Ugly cried too. I HAVEN'T CRIED LIKE THAT SINCE THE ENDING OF KINGDOM HEARTS III. Yeah this game is amazing and I hope they do more with it in the future no matter what people say.
I don't care what dream cast guy says are the bad reviews I think this is a hidden gem its not prefect but its not the worst ether it is what is a game some people like some Popole hate it I like it that's my word on the matter and am standing by it.
I hope they make a sequel, because while I have only played the demo so far and watched the cut scenes the life lessons this imparts, the dance scenes, and the story were excellent. So I wouldn't mind playing a sequel to this game.

Yeah sadly it's random to get the King Tim. You need to combine the Tims with the medals but besides that it seems to be luck based. Some people have said if you get your Tim's ready to combine, save your progress and combine them. If you don't get the king Tim, quit the game and come back in and try again until you get the right one. The Tims will randomly wear the hats, there is no way to make them wear them, so each time you come back to the isle of Tims there's a chance one could be wearing the hat.
Its sad that the game is just not fun to play, I played the demo and was heavily disappointed. I wanted to like this game ever since it was first announced, the character designs, visuals, and music are god tier. but because of how the game plays and the direction it went, its just not fun to play at all. It deserves the 4/10 score but I wish it didn't, the little things hamper it too much. it could easily pass as a 7/10 game if the gameplay wasn't so deluded with unnecessary headaches.
thanks for the comment. Yeah I understand your frustration. A lot of people felt that way I think. It definitely has some redeeming qualities but it won't be for everyone. Too bad I don't think it will get another shot considering how low it's been scoring.

I know from data in the demo there were a lot more levels to the Tim Tower originally planned which seem to have been scrapped, so I wonder if there were other things as well.

lol pretty pictures I like that haha. There are a lot of questionable things that they chose to do with this game, but at the same time they did get a lot right, the exploration is a lot of fun and finding all the collectibles and stuff
I believe it was from either beating the game, or from collecting all the statues. Collecting all the statues of each world unlocks the English version of the songs, so I think beating the game gets the Balanese version, then once you've collected all the gold statues you get the English version

Plot twist: Everyone was on LSD the whole time and Balan and Lance are hallucinations and it's no wonder everything is so trippy.
