I got here after an embroidery question on 'who want to be a millionaire'. Was intrigued and I'm impressed with lazy daisy stitch.. I need to now find somewhere to use my new skill! ;) thank you
Thank you! I have a little kit and the book made no sense and now here I am thinking “this is quite simple.” And I see a lot of other people loved the sound of the thread going through the fabric and I have to agree, it’s a pleasant sound!
Thank you so much..Your demonstration is very easy to follow...Right now I am attending a sewing class and your lessons help me to remember the lessons I have forgotten...thanks again..
Thank you thank you thank you this is been a really big help. I’m a newbie and the piece of paper that came with my pattern really didn’t explain it at all it just kind of showed a picture. So thank you thank you again
Thank you for your videos! I am brand new at embroidering and you've taught me most of the stitches I've had to learn so far. Thank you for taking the time to make these.
Hi Wendy!! I’m a sixteen year old rating my junior year and I wanted to embroider my backpack with some cute little flowers and your tutorial was perfect! My lazy Daisy’s are so cute thanks to you:)
Thank you so much!! It really helps me to see the stitches being demonstrated. It's been 100 years since I've done embroidery,..I absolutely loved it way back when!! I'm back in training, haha!!!! Your video is very helpful. Thanks again. Have a great rest of your weekend!! : )
wow ive been practising on an offcut of felt that i had spare with my mum's old embrodiary (she had to stop) but i rather enjoy it thank you soo much xxxx
Super helpful. Thanks. Especially for that "extra" bit on that annoying "loop" you got in the thread. I've been cursing them as knots and (cursing when) cutting them out.
Thank you! I just started a project and am new to stitching/hand embroidery. The direction I received with the kit didn’t make any sense to me and this is extremely helpful in clarifying how to exactly make this stitch. Thank you again!
Hey Wendi your tutorials are so amazing and have helped me sooo much as a newbie! My little lazy daisy came out looking pretty damn cute, even if I say so myself! Thank you
Thank you so much for sharing! I am working on a big project as my first project (BIG mistake!) and just needed to see that all of these beautiful stitches for embellishment weren't going to be over complicated :) New subscriber here!
I use regular DMC embroidery floss - you can get it any any craft or fabric store. And you can stitch on any fabric - woven (non-stretchy) is best for beginners. I have a post about fabric at wendigratz[dot]blogspot[dot]com/2012/01/ask-wendi-what-kind-of-fabric-can-i-use[dot]html
Great tip on the knots that spontaneously happen!! My thread does it all the time and it was driving me nuts!! This is great news! New subscriber!! Thanks so much!! 😊
I love your videos. They are some of the more helpful tutorials I have been able to find! I was wondering if, in future tutorials (or as a charitable side project?!?!) you could use thicker, higher-contrast thread and more descriptive language? As a visually impaired sewer new to embroidery that would be much appreciated!
For some reason the sound of the thread/yarn going thru the fabric is so satisfying!!!
Glad I’m not the only one who thinks this way
Its irritating
It's call asmr 😆

Super helpful. Thanks. Especially for that "extra" bit on that annoying "loop" you got in the thread. I've been cursing them as knots and (cursing when) cutting them out.
If I wanted it to look lazy daisy-ish I would just draw the flower and backstitch it, then maybe satin stitch the center.
Wow you taught it in a easy way, thank you so much..
