Just found you and this was so easy to follow. As a long ago stitcher (I'm 82 now) as a child and young adult,, decided I wanted to get back to it. Thank you, I'll be able to succeed now. Blessings.
Oh! You are gonna make my a new hobby better. These are my holidays going on and I bought some things for embroidery nd I was afraid if I could not do anything and the stuff will be all wasted but but but! You saved me! Thankyou thankyou thanks alot! I'm gonna embroider a hanky for my friend with name's first letter A. Thanks again ❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊 Sukhleen.
This is the third or fourth video I have seen to hopefully learn how to chain stitch. I just couldn’t get it with the prior ones. I am so glad I found your video because I succeeded! Thank you so much. You have the gift of teaching.
Best video i could find (so far) getting my first embroidery kit for xmas 2023 so I have been looking for videos on the different stitches. I need something with explanation over the visual video! so this was excellent Thank you very much
Thank you! Your video is very easy to follow. I was struggling so bad with chain stitch, but your way of doing it was way easier to understand! I can do it! Just started embroidery! So relaxing and fun! 😊
Omg thank you for this video! I just beame interested in embroidery like 2 days ago and have been going through tutorial videos like crazy. Yours is the only video that explained when or for what a specific stitch is used. Most other tutorials show how to do a stitch but either don't name it or say what the stitches are used for. Thank you so much for taking the time to explain it.
This tutorial is wonderful. I learned to embroider when I was little but it has been a while since I embroidered. It is always good to go back to basics. I am glad I found your tutorials.
Thank you for a great simple video and I really appreciate you talking and not putting music over what you’re doing! Just more helpful for me personally😊
So grateful, starting again after not doing any since I was a child. The instructions in the pack I bought are terrible and I found your video whilst trying to work out what they meant!
Thanks! I just learned how to stitch in art class and was like “wow, this is really fun!” So now I’m deciding that I want to learn more and do it at home! This has really helped me!
I'm just found embroidery by purchasing a kit that was on clearance at a store. Just finished it two days ago! Super fun! I never stick with something this long.
Thank you so much for this. My mom taught me embroidery as a child but that's been over 40 years and I'm trying to remember. This was a great reminder. ❤
Thank you for your tutoring video; I also used to embroider in my happy hippy days! lol. I loved it very much and you just brought it back to my mind. thank you, dear.
I am here beacuse of my online class...beacuse my teacher sended me this..turns out IT was great..i like how u are straight to the point and not like other youtubers who introduce themselves and keeps saying subscribe and stuff
Thanks for your comment! I’m so glad you found the video helpful. None of my videos have those kind of long winded introductions because I too find them annoying (and also I’m not very skilled at making/editing videos haha) Straight to the point is what I aim for! Thank you 😁
Just found your channel and love your content! Just finished one of those kits you find in the store & fell in love with embroidery. I never stick with something enough to finish it, let alone watch tutorials. This video helped me to keep going forward and start some of my own projects with more open ended projects.
This was really informative and well explained!! Thank you for taking the time to make this video for all of us beginners out there!! We appreciate it a lot!! 😁
Super clear and concise! :o) Thank you so much! I have wanted to try embroidery for a while now, but have been pushing it off due to the lack of confidence! This video really helped me feel comfortable making mistakes and learning some basic but useful stiches!
I've just started trying to do some embroidery/cross stitching. For a true true beginner this video is awesome and sooo easy to follow and understand. Only problem I have and remember I am a true beginner, Is how you threaded your needle and where you knotted it at etc etc. So for that I had to jump to a completely different how to video and people do things differently. But Thank you so much. Yes I had to rip out stitches and try again but that is the beauty of pause, rewind, and fast forward lol
Thanks for this simple demonstration of the stitches. I had to refresh my memory! Please can you share how you stabilized the hoop and fabric underneath so you could use both hands? It looks very steady instead of holding it in your hand while stitching
Thanks for making these stitches look so easy. I followed along with you! Nice pace and easy to follow 😉 I have subscribed and can't wait to watch more of your videos
im thankfull i found this video cuz i actually think that chain and split stitch are freaking complicated .btw the tumbnail is same as our activity:0 so lets just say its like copying ur work but im rlly thnkfull i found this video
Clear easy directions but I really struggle with the chain stitch. I made up a story to help me do the stitch; "a bunny pops up from its burrow and pops down the same rabbit hole. The bunny hops forward, but needs to go back to its original burrow to pop out and take a look around, then the bunny goes down that exact same burrow. The bunny hops forward again, and again needs to go back to its original burrow to take a look around before hopping ahead again". Silly but following the bunny has really helped me to get this stitch going. I still need lots and lots of practice.🐰🐰🐰🐇
Massive rookie question: can you do stem stiches in circular/bent shapes, for framing for instance? Does it still show or does it have to be straight to show this nicely torsaded figure?
@@CamTrs Yes, stem stitches can work for straight lines, curves, circles, you name it, really. I personally just make smaller stitches around curves & circles, though. Less chance of buggering it up.

Thank you for watching Mary! Good for you for getting back into stitching! Best wishes!

So glad to see this review. Am starting a crewel project and needed to "touch up" my stitches. Haven't done embroidery/crewel work for 50+ years.

Very calming voice. Great instruction. The sound of the needle pulling through the fabric could put me to sleep. Thank you. Debra
Thanks for watching Debra!

It certainly helps to see it in action! Thanks for watching :)

Thanks for this simple demonstration of the stitches. I had to refresh my memory! Please can you share how you stabilized the hoop and fabric underneath so you could use both hands? It looks very steady instead of holding it in your hand while stitching
Thanks for watching! I’m using a small desk stand to keep my hoop steady. I use it everyday. I believe it came from a shop called Hawthorn Handmade
