Protestantism literally means "to protest" against.
Protest against what or whom exactly? The papal power of course!
How do they Protest? One of the major markers is that a protestant rejects the papal power's claim to think to change times and laws. Rome demands that you do the following (not exhaustive) under the head of her beastly power: Idol worship, praying to the dead, penance, confession of sin to priests not Christ, infant baptism, indulgences, the just live by popery not faith, and the spurious sabbath of Sunday keeping.
Matthew 15:9, "But in vain they do worship me, teaching for DOCTRINES the commandments of MEN."
Dr. Mason really is truly uninformed and greatly deceived and needs prayer to come out of her and touch not the unclean thing.

Not one EVANGELICAL can dare call themselves a "protestant." They're not PROTESTing anything at ALL about the papacy! In fact, they're giving the Roman mother lots of love now, through the WCC.

You are right, but there's a difference between 7, the Adventist of the remnant and the remnant people of other churches who will come out of her obviously the mainstream Adventist church is changing. They're morphing slowly into what the Roman church wants. The ( covenant is with Jacob)! after verse 25, in Romans chapter 11.. the gentiles are finished after verse 25! The last line of 25 is tell you that. The same as Luke 21:24!. Revelation 12 starts in Egypt, and goes to the end of time. It's their history,( and their future )right in front of you.. I can give you the meaning of every verse! That's not you! He allowed the deception of satan to take over the cause, so many different derivatives and divisions and changes and doctrinal wrong viewpoints, etc. Okay, but his remnant people just the people of God. K will not be denominational, so all the people that come out of her. Okay, come out of Babylon. We'll be part of the remnant and there won't be very many. The gate is very narrow. I recommend redoing this video. We should be careful to not show any sarcasm and be very careful how we critique someone else. I recommend starting with a definition of what a protestant is comparing it to what we teach and then comparing it to what the reformers taught and then to what the current so-called protestants teach. Please consider taking most of your emotion out of the presentation not all of it. Help those watching to have facts and allow the Holy Spirit to convince them. We should consider being different from those that use emotion. We should show how they are misrepresenting by providing all the evidence. Just some thoughts. I have seen those that do not agree with our theological beliefs use words like Liar and others playing on people’s emotions especially those that were an Adventist and left the faith. Blessings
I appreciate your feedback. I'll keep this in mind from now on. I was a little bothered by the undeserved insults that were given towards SDAs. This was the second video we did for Dr. Mason. It was clear that he didn't hear any of our responses or the others who have responded to him. So I was a little bothered.
But you are right. I should stick to the facts and not show any displeasure.

I'd like to add that the video also did not present the argument as to why the gentleman believes that SDAs are not Protestant. Just stating that they are not is not an argument, but you cut him short before any reason or syllogism was given.

Every reformer of the reformation from John Wycliffe to John Wesley, came to the same conclusion on the truth of the antichrist beast and that man of sin by studying the scriptures.
The Popes of Rome are THAT man of sin, and the Roman church is that woman that rides the beast of Revelation 17, having power over the nations and rulers of the earth.

She is both a church and a secular kingdom, diverse from all other previous beast which came before.

Google every Bible verse that reference the Sabbath or use a good concordance like Strong's. Put the references in categories that answer questions like these:
1. what is the Sabbath? 2.Who made the Sabbath? 3.Why was the Sabbath made? 4. When was the Sabbath made? 5. Where was the Sabbath made? 6.How long was the Sabbath to continue on?
At the end of this study any reasonable and honest person will conclude as did SDA that the Sabbath is super important and praise God for it!

I still would like to discuss the "Mark of the Beast" being Sunday doctrine at some point. The last cancelation was my fault, but God willing, I would still like to revisit this "Mark of the Beast" is Sunday doctrine eventually. Everytime i hear the SDA "Mark of the Beast" doctrine about Sunday worship I have dozens of questions to ask any SDA person who holds this "Mark of the Beast" doctrine. I don't understand why SDA have made worship of God on Sunday into a devil worshipping behavior! Hopefully, we can still discuss this topic because it is a very serious matter. To me, the SDA "Mark of the Beast" doctrine violates the Exodus 20:16 commandment.

I think most of those who write against us here have absolutely no idea what we Seventh-day Adventists believe. They have probably been sadly deceived by someone who has taken Ellen White scriptures out of context a few times.

What did Martin Luther (the sixteenth century reformer) protest?
a) The doctrine that God’s forgiveness (justification) was obtained through the sacrament of penance.
b) The doctrine that only the clergy could interpret scripture.
c) The doctrine that spiritual authority could be obtained only from or through the Roman Church.
d) The doctrine that God’s forgiveness could be purchased for the dead by buying “indulgences”.
My parents were Seventh-day Adventists. Dad would sometimes recite a slogan - in English or in German - he attributed to Martin Luther: “Only by grace, only through faith and only on the Holy Scriptures.” Both my parents died in the 1980s.
In 2008, I discovered that many Seventh-day Adventists in one conference (United States) didn’t consider themselves protestants.*
A few years ago, after attending the worship service of a methodist congregation, one of the women who had attended that same service said she noticed I hadn’t been attending regularly.
I told her I was attending the services of a variety of congregations in an attempt to determine which of them was the most protestant.
I guessed by the blank look on her face she didn’t have a working definition of the word, “protestant”. So I asked.
She didn’t.
So I suggested she search the Internet for definitions.
Do Seventh-day Adventists emphasize that God’s forgiveness is a free gift - that we can’t do anything to earn or deserve his forgiveness?
In my experience, most do not.
Do Seventh-day Adventists subscribe to the doctrine of the primacy of scripture?
In theory, yes. But many Adventists quote Adventist sources about as much as they quote the Bible.
Some decades ago, members of one methodist congregation - knowing I wasn’t a methodist - ordained me as a missionary. The WAY they did that demonstrated to my satisfaction that they believed what I did (although I hadn’t told any of them what I believed about this), namely, that ordination is an affirmation by fellow believers that a person has already received - directly from the Lord - the spiritual authority and other gifts appropriate to the office for which he is a candidate. Which is to say that spiritual authority is not obtained from or through the hierarchy of a religious organization. I’ve spoken with a few Seventh-day Adventist clergy about this but not enough laity to have an opinion about what the laity believe.
Anyone interested in whether Seventh-day Adventists are protestants might want to think about this: In my experience, missionaries for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (who aren’t protestants and don’t consider themselves protestant) can’t teach the message they consider to be “the gospel” without mentioning Joseph Smith or the LdS organization.
Now ask yourself: Can Seventh-day Adventists teach the message they consider to be “the gospel” without mentioning the nineteenth century pioneers of the advent movement or the SdA organization?
You decide.
P.S. Coercion - especially with regard to religious beliefs, religious practices or religious prohibitions - was the thing that identified or “marked” the beast for sixteenth century protestants. It makes sense to me to say that coercion always was and always will be the mark of the beast. In the sixteenth century, Martin Luther challenged Pope Leo X and I think Luther was right to do that. At the same time, prophecy was given largely in symbols and I think one reason for that is so that, no matter how sure we might be about what the symbol represents, we can recognize if or when something else fits the symbol.
In most of Europe for hundreds of years before Luther nailed his 95 Theses to the door of the Castle Church building, it had been assumed that anything the Roman Church identified as a sin should also be considered a crime and punished as a crime.
In January of 2023, however, Pope Francis made a distinction between a sin and a crime.
It is no more appropriate to blame Pope Francis (or any other modern pope) for the policies of Pope Leo X than it is appropriate to blame modern Hebrews for the mistakes of the self-appointed religious leaders of the Hebrew people two thousand years ago.
*I didn’t do the research so I don’t know for sure but I was under the impression, in 2008, that the majority of SdA in that conference didn’t consider themselves protestant.

Adventists speak of Martin Luther very glowingly, but Martin Luther believed wholeheartedly is the concept of supersessionism (the New Covenant has superseded the Old Covenant). He believed we are under a new covenant and not beholden to the old covenant laws.

To say that you’re Protestant and to believe either of the Antichrist prophecy interpretations of the Catholic Church instead of believing the biblical Antichrist prophecy interpretation of the Protestant reformers who pointed to the papacy as the Antichrist, is one of the saddest and clearest examples of deception.

There are many anti-christs and they deny the Fatherhood and Sonship of God. As it is written. 1 John 2:22 Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son. Do Adventists teach a protestant view of God?
Eg.
There is one God.
God eternally exists as three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
Each person of the Trinity is fully God.
Read the Fundamental Beliefs of the church, particularly 2 to 5.

How did Luther come to the same conclusion that the Pope is the Antichrist?
After all, the Bible is only a clue to help us recognize who the Antichrist is. The Bible does not say that the Antichrist is the Pope or does not mention a name in general. The Pope says that he is the representative of God on earth and that he can forgive sins. I think that's actually reason enough.

Which Jesus do we have and which one do you have? We have the Jesus from the KJV Bible or the Textus Receptus. We believe that Jesus is the Lord of lords and the King of kings and that he is God and co-creator of the universe. So together with his Father and the Holy Spirit.
And please don't come to me now with Archangel Michael. Many reformers believed that Jesus was Michael and even Calvin agreed with this. A great example is Spurgeon. He preached and wrote several times that Jesus is Michael.
Michael is Jesus, as the leader of the angels.
