Honestly, my favorite thing about this channel is those times you inject some unexpected humor in, like the ending about immediately doing a drop test, or that time you ended with kneeling by a short door, or the time you acted like you fired nails that were too long from trim into a floor. Gets me everytime

Camera on, babe walks by in front of camera, carpenter with hammer says "Looks good"... Carpenter with hammer realizes he didn't understand a word she said. 😆 Lol

Really cool newel post. My house is 150 years old and has a very similar post. I’m not sure if it’s original, I’m going to guess not, but it’s definitely old. There is a good bit of original base and casing which is really cool, I’ve restored it all as good as I can and it looks great. Got love the visible kerfs on the curved pieces too. It’s a little bit of history every time I see it, like the old knob and tube wiring “holes” in the basement, which are square and clearly not made with a drill of any kind

I remember that video of you in the garage (w/ the boat still in it) where some guys were eyeballing the garage. And how you were using Rigid/Dewalt and other tools. One of the comments was "the good thing about rigid is that no one steals it from the job site" LOLOL. You've come a long way! Congrats! And that ending! 😂

I was literally waiting for you to grab the Domino. Had mine for 2 years now and love it. Woodworker for 15 years and saw you slowly coming into fine woodworking side of things. Loved watching your trim work but knew this was coming lol. Can’t beat the speed of the Festool domino. Also love their Track Saw. Bought the 700, Track Saw, and CT 36 dust extraction at the same time. Felt like I was going to throw up at that time after spending that much. Still don’t regret that purchase to this day!! Love your content man. Love growing with you!

WOW! Welcome to Festool. I'm a retired Heavy Haul Truck Driver that couldn't put two boards together to save my life. A friend told me about the Domino 500. The $$$$$ I've saved in destroyed lumber and frustration turned to joy has made the DF 500 worth every penny. So much so, that I bought the DF 700XL when it came time to build gates for my back yard (Since then, I've made a bunch of them for friends and family). Wait till you try the DF 500 Knock Down Connector System, makes me look like a genius (I'm still not a woodworker) and the 700 Connector System will knock your socks off. And, yes, I did buy the Festool 55 Track Saw (can't cut a straight board either). Love your channel-watch it all the time. I think you and your team will like the results, the speed and accuracy of the Domino.

Downtown Dallas does have some beautiful old architecture. Especially the East end. I worked in Downtown for several years and I miss it. A lot of great buildings and a whole different class of people.

I love my Domino 500. When I bought it I ended up spending 400 on the CT 15 dust extractor from Festool. You'll love it, just make sure you never use it without dust extraction. Great video as always man. Keep up the good work!

The Domino is an amazing tool, you’ll soon be asking yourself how you ever got along without it!

Pro tip: Hock your catalytic converter for tools! 😂 On a side note, the Domino is a game changer. I've owned the 700 XL for a year. Last week I got several more Festool tools including a dust extractor. What I discovered is that the Domino works even better with a Festool dust extractor. The mortises are sharper than without it.

A good video for fixing your newel post is Christmas Vacation. Woodworking at it's finest.
