@@octoplodI am looking for a chorus that goes well with delay and reverb. There is a small difference between the mooer and the boss. What is the difference according to you?
@@cijntjekid I found the differences between the two were most noticeable with the controls in the extreme positions ie 'slowest or fastest'. In a mix, with most settings it is hard to tell them apart.
nice, thanks, it sounds good, isn't the King a clone of the CE-5? that's good to know about the level knob, i wonder how Donner has dealt that between their Tutti Love and the CE-2
Thanks!. I'm not sure what the Ensemble King is a clone of, perhaps just a generic 80's Roland / BOSS analog chorus effect. I did think it compared surprisingly well to my old CE-2 though, much better sounding than I was expecting.
Nice comparison but it'd be better without the delay. It's close to useless with another effect in the chain (especially since both are time based effects)
Thanks for your comment. The delay doesn't have any modulation on it (it is just a simple digital delay), so all the modulation is coming from the chorus pedals. I've always felt that a bit of delay makes it easier to hear the chorus but that is just the way I like to evaluate them (it is not an approach everyone likes 🙂). I always comment if there is enough interest, I can make another video without the delay similar to this one ruclips.net/video/Y5Ig4DdKjHo/видео.html if it would help someone.
I usually use chorus and delay together so that's how I like to compare them but if there is enough interest, I can make another video without the delay similar to this one ruclips.net/video/Y5Ig4DdKjHo/видео.html
I was very impressed by the Mooer. I'd never really considered that these mini pedals to be much more than a novelty but it compares very well to my old CE-2
I could do a comparison without the instruments but there are lots of videos that already do that. There aren't so many that demonstrate what the pedals sound like once you have drums and bass mixed in but if there is a demand for a video with no other instruments I could give it a go.
Thats one way to make a comparison but I think it is like comparing cars without ever driving them on the road. I'm not bothered about the tiny differences that can be heard between pedals when they are used in isolation because I intend to use them on guitar parts in a piece of music so thats how I evaluate them. In the videos I am asking the question, 'If I could use either of these pedals, on this guitar part, in this piece of music what diiferences (if any) can be heard?' . Sure, thats not what everyone wants from a pedal demo, but I think there already many youtube videos that compare them in the way you described, the world of youtube probably doesn't need another. But if you really want to hear the pedals in isolation and that video doesn't already exist on youtube, drop a comment and I will add it to my list.
I love the sound of the CE-2 but there are times when I wish I could make the chorus effect a little more subtle. A mix control would really help with that.
The Mooer ensemble king is truly a fantastic chorus! It even feels better than the Boss CE-2 in the mix, along with the rest of the instruments.
It is great at recreating the old Boss / Roland chorus sound

things song has an oddly comfy Euro Truck Simulator-esque vibe.
i love it.
Great song, and I appreciate hearing it in context to a full mix.
Thank you for your comment, I hope you found the comparison useful
The Mooer ensemble king sounds good for me.
Great comparison! :)
Thank you very much
Saludos@@octoplod

The mooer pedal sounds really close to the Boss
It is much closer than I was expecting

I think it would be easier to evaluate the chorus sounds if you turned off the delay.

Blimey, I can’t tell them apart… so very close.

Next time without the other instruments?

great video!! too much felling in the lyrics! congrats from Brazil!
Thank you very much!
Comparisons, my friend, are made without background music
Thats one way to make a comparison but I think it is like comparing cars without ever driving them on the road. Having a mix control is the way ensure you don't sound too 80's 😉

@@octoplod I use a LS-2 to get a mix that way, but it's a complicated way to get it... 😉 FWIW I would look into modding a CE-2B maybe...
mooer нужно сделать stereo для synth
Стереоверсия была бы хороша
Why with delay, omg. So wasting time :-(
