  • In this demo I take some data from a real survey study conducted using Qualtrics and export it to SPSS and briefly discuss how the data and variables were coded.

Great tutorial! Best I've seen on RUclips. Just curious, what authoring tool did you use to create this tutorial? Thanks again!

+Liezl Madrona Thanks for the comment! I use the Adobe Creative Suite, and usually not just one program.

    Hey Eric,
I'm wondering how you get your labels of your values for the lickert questions displayed in data view.
In my data view, I only see 1,2,...,5. But I 'd like to see 'totaly agree',....
Thanks a lot, and nice video btw!

+Arne Kerremans - The Likert scales are numeric variables, but qualtics adds labels to each value. So in data view the default setting is to show the label of that value - like agree or disagree. I just checked this in my data. But there is an option to view the value and not the label, so in that case you will see a number from 1 to X.
I hope that was helpful. Thanks for watching.

    Hi Eric,
I am looking for a Qualtrics community of practice. Looked around the net and haven't found anything yet. Have any ideas? Thanks

I'm sorry I don't know of any community specialized in Qualtrics. Should we start one?

Hi Eric! Is there a way to make the multiple choice question look simpler in SPSS? (such as making it have a different number for each option, for example: 3 Music = "3" on SPSS)

If I understand the question, you want to list the responses from multiple choice questions as the numbers and not the labels (eg. strongly agree). SPSS has an option to display the number or the label in data view so you can easily switch between them.
