Me I’m looking at getting one , I’ve always loved this body style , one thing that’s a drawback is the MPG and with California gas prices right now are absurd as always , but still for a sun 10k car now it’s very nice and it’s body doesn’t age
They're now getting to the $5k zone and have proven to be really reliable
Most of our vehicles we film come from dealerships. It's how we started this channel and it will continue to stay. We simply have good relationships with this dealer and some other dealers around our area. Acquiring access to press cars isn't as easy and they will leave you waiting for quite some time which is why we've gone back to dealership access. Thanks for your understanding, we do still have plans to film new vehicles.
We never once implied that, we just want in-market consumers to simply know you must pay extra for a lot of equipment on German brands. Too many people simply see the low starting price but forget that most of the features you want cost extra. We love brands from everywhere, it doesn't matter which country it's from.

I love mine. Had it almost 6 years and only had to replace heater button. Runs great and no rattles. The milage and cost of maintenance is pricey but worth it.
Have a white one been in my family since it was new in 2010. Have 170000km now it’s still so smooth . Surprisingly quick too
Also no rust beside small spot in wheel well
i have the 2013 GLK which is so much better in interior and exterior in my opinion. but i first drove the GLK in 2010 and i really liked it

Just got one 2010 used GLK350 and am loving it, especially mine's got the premium package with power liftgate, panoramic sunroofs, etc.

@@TD-il6ju Yes, it is fast or at least faster than my '97 or '08 CR-V. The only thing is that I won't stress test this gem all the time because Mercedes' repair costs are not known to be cheap. I'll put the pedal to the metal and use its 268 muscle power only in cases of emergency, such as to avoid an accident.

Honestly - I am glad they leave out the sunroof, and fancy electronics. That means it will be a terrific used car because it will have less things that break.

Sofyan, don't listen to these morons. We love your used car reviews! Many of us purchase pre-owned vehicles because we'd rather save our cash for other purchases such as a house or a nice vacation! Keep up the great work, and don't let the comments of one or two negative individuals impact your success and balance between showing both new and used vehicles.
We have yet to come across a Lexus with faux-leather. We'll be sure to point it out when we found one like that though.
There is no ST in the long-term fleet, However, we will be filming the 2014 ST when it becomes available.
The GLK offers features that are un-available on the RDX. It also makes this vehicle much more expensive. We can't say it's better, it really depends on your budget and preferences. We will say that most of our staff would prefer the X3 or Q5 over this vehicle.
Will you look for a MKS to review? I'd also appreciate it if you could review both the last gen and the current gen mks.

Only you can make that choice as they're both excellent cars, it just boils down to what you prefer. Test drive several examples of both and if you can look for a CPO or purchase an extended warranty. Both are excellent in terms of ride, handling, features, style and capability.

They just recently started, with the CT introducing NuLuxe in 2011. Currently, the CT and ES are the only models that I think come with the vinyl stuff.

I have a synthetic leather in my SE Accord its not bad, just a little harder compared to real lather. Over time it gets softer though

Agree, re the solidity feel. Unless one drives they cant feel it. The V6 is going into oblivion. If any one has this V6 or GLK 250 diesel , hold on to them.
THey are built like tanks. These small sub compact SUV s weigh as much as a minivan. Yes. They do. They are not making these gems any more.
These are not racing cars but well built, solid and heavy and solid feel.
I actually prefer the MB Tex. Easy to maintain and condition and it wears more evenly than leather. The majority of E Classes have MB Tex and many owners love it.
Now that other guys are talking about your GTI, how reliable has it been?
Its only on the ct200h, and available on all es models. Its called nulux it close to what get on the high end prius.

Wow, the interior looks downright downmarket. I guess Mercedes must have upgraded their interiors substantially in recent years because I hardly remember them looking that plasticky!
Not at all, this is a lower class car for the people who want a Mercedes but can't afford one. Back then, only the rich had Mercs.
That One Ford Guy I wouldn't say lower class and that doesn't make much sense when you say "people who want a Mercedes but can't afford one" as this is a Benz. It's definitely basic but it has all of the things that made MB famous in the first place. It's solid and well built and you do feel it when going down the road or hell even when you close the doors. It's also safe and it's a refined package altogether. Sure it doesn't have the latest tech but let's be honest nobody really needs backup camera, lane departure warning and a host of other nannies that could fail. This SUV and the C Class won't break the bank to maintain but still be a cut above the rest which is definitely a win in this category.

Base model. Mine has the wood/wheels upgrades.
The CT and ES both come with Lexus' Nuluxe faux leather in the rather basic models. Its not a terrible thing either because it usually feels just as nice and holds up better in the long run. I just find it funny how the Germans always get called cheap for it.

Partly true. You can buy a cheaper and maybe more reliable Japanese car, and save 10-15 grand to buy yourself a nice watch.

You need to remember that the Lexus RX350 isn't a compact sport utility, it's a mid-sized sport utility vehicle. The RX was designed from the beginning to compete with the ML. Lexus still doesn't have a CUV yet. The GX is a large SUV.

My dad has an 07 Jetta with VW's VTEX leatherette and honestly after 81k it looks and feels exactly like it did the day we bought it. Even the BEST leather gets some kind of ass sag or wear on it after 100k yet faux leather hold up fine. I don't get why some people are so pretentious they can't see that.
They have only on the CT200h hybrid.
The CT200h comes with faux leather (Nuluxe) and it is very good, not worth getting real leather for extra cost in my opinion.

agreed. lexus is arguably the best japanese luxury maker when it comes to balance and status and if they're using fake leather, why beat on a lower end german CUV for it.
They probably are wanting to have a well-rounded line up for their channel, and want to cater to every viewer. Besides, it's probably a little harder than you think to go to a dealership everyday and try to take a brand new car for half an hour. If it matters that much to you, go out and look at the cars yourself.

Well youtube user Lawnboy 8461 his mother just got a bread new 2014 Mercedes BenzGLK 250 so it has a 2.1 Twin Turbo inline 4 diesel engine in it well i thinking if i want a nice SUV i think i may want to go look at one too
Which benz doesn't last?
I have a 2014 GLK350. If you have a problem with this car and does not produce an error code, Mercedes will tell you since there no code, there is no problem. The problem is in your imagination. Then the dealer will tell you to take it to a different dealer.....in other words they tel you to take your business someplace else. Remember, no code no problem. The mechanics do not know how to diagnose a problem.......sort of reminds me of a cashier at Walmart not knowing how to count you change back.
I keep getting a letter from them that they want to sell me another and trade mine in. Well, why would I want to buy another when they can’t fix the one I have?
Nearly every car brand does. I doubt many cars even have real leather at all these days. They just don't tell people that.
Doesnt seem 2TheRedLine is interested in reviewing NEW cars anymore - just used 3-6 year old existing (or old) models in Dirty Jerry's fleet.....

well the price tag is cheaper, and the maintainence and parts cost is much cheaper compared to Germany. But the main reason people buy Japanese cars are because they are about 10 grand cheaper than a equivalently loaded German competitor.
He speaks way too fast and is not at all a salesman. He keeps mentioning other brand vehicles and there is no comparison and I’ve been driving Mercedes since 1985.

All the interior plastic materials felt rather cheap to me. Not a big fan of this car though, something just bugs me about its design. Somehow the MY2014 looks far better.

What prrestige? If a benz is so goddamn expensive then they should build something that actually lasts. I have enough to buy a benz, but instead I bought an acura and a house instead.
