Doc, you intered into my brain, put the knowledge carefully in a gentle manner with a high level of sequencey till I fall in love with your explanation. Thanks to the moon and back
My water leaked for 2 weeks. Initially, they told me to significantly increased the amount I was drinking to compensate. That worked for about 10 days or so. 2 weeks in at 37+1 weeks my youngest daughter was born. She was petite but everything worked. She breastfed immediately and later proved her system was functioning just fine. 😂 She's almost 2 1/2 now, breastfed for 14 months and her system is still going strong. Lol Pregnant with twins now! 🤞🏽💗😊
Wow 🥰 it gives me peace of mind reading this type of words cuz mine also was Oligohydramnios rush my labor by 38weeks at Cesarean, my baby is now going 1 month she’s totally fine 💗
What could happen if one is suspected or diagnosed with oligohydramnio during week 13 of pregnancy.. would trying lot of fluids help the fetus to survive?
@@madisakhutso9708 I'm not sure. It differs from person to person but one mommy in my group was diagnosed early and was able to make it. She had a lower than desirable amount of fluid but she did greatly increase her fluids like me with some compensation. I believe however she also had an additional intervention of some kind.
At 35 weeks you first started to leak water? I'm pregnant with twins and one of them lost almost all his amiotic fluid at 14, now I'm 19 weeks and he is still growing
Hi, Your content is so simply well placed that you take complicated topics and make them so easier to digest. Look forward to more videos in the future. Thanks.
You are a practical genius; which is way better than standard smart dude. I not only now get this but I will remember it because you connected the dots and I now remember logical info rather than unrelated complicated factoids.
Congratulations on being mentioned as a top resource on FIRST AID 2021. I randomly started watching your materials after Kharma Medic refered me too & I'm glad I did it. They are extremely good, thank you for your work!
I love your videos ! But at 8:40 you say that the baby inhale amniotic liquid in his lung. This is not the case ! No amniotic liquid goes physiologicaly in the lungs ! It's pulmonary liquid. The cause of the lung hypoplasia is unkown for the moment ! (Sorry if there is mistakes, I speak french and my english isn't perfect :) )
Thanks! I have a question, can oligohydramnios be caused if the baby has a problem swallowing? for example in esophageal atresia with distal TE fistula?
What could happen if one is suspected or diagnosed with oligohydramnio during week 13 of pregnancy.. would trying lot of fluids help the fetus to survive?
I had polyhydramnios with my middle child. No GD on my part or anything like that. Just a whopper of a baby (over 9 lbs) who peed a lot. He's almost 6 now, built like a line backer almost as big as his 9 year old brother, and still pees a lot. 😂 But is otherwise completely healthy. My mom unfortunately had the opposite. Her oldest baby had potters sequence and polycystic kidneys. He passed at birth.
Amniotic fluid more than 2000 ml or AFI (amniotic fluid index) more than 24 is polyhydroamnios And amniotic fluid less than 200 ml or AFI less than 5 is oligohydramnios
Bs Ramesh I’m definitely not a professional, but I was diagnosed with poly about a month ago. Currently I don’t think you have anything to worry about as 8-18 is normal, and they don’t diagnose poly until your AFI is 24. If you’re having any signs that your AFI might have went up, definitely contact your OB, but based off your current number I wouldn’t be worried!
I wish this person taught all pathophysiology. This is the clearest explanation of any medical condition I have ever seen. Well done!
Veronica Graham same here. Some videos just on patho physiology would be great.

Subhan Allah.. I'm not a med student.. but learning about human beings amazes me!!
As a student, in my opinion we need teachers like this, that don’t try and overcomplicate everything, to look smarter
Man, can't thank you enough for your time and effort to make this perfect explanation

Brother how much increase or decrease is needed to label it as polyhydromias or oligohydromnias respectively? ????
Amniotic fluid more than 2000 ml or AFI (amniotic fluid index) more than 24 is polyhydroamnios
And amniotic fluid less than 200 ml or AFI less than 5 is oligohydramnios
Ok thanks brother
