    I was hoping for a little more in depth of what each one tracks. Sleep vs sleep, which metrics are tracked, etc. I know I can set intervals on the Garmin. Is that a feature on the new Samsung? Very surface level comparison and information I can see on Google sadly.

    Now the reality from someone who has owned both brands: Garmin is the clear winner. No contest. From notifications that don't work consistantly or well, abysmal real world battery life, random texts to emergency contacts for no reason, to mediocre fitness tracking, Samsung has just dropped the ball. They look great and the sapphire crystal is really nice to have. But the reality is that Garmin watches work better and with much better battery life, truly night and day.

    • @tommanseau6277
      @tommanseau6277 5 месяцев назад

      @@RiseT14 Have had Garmin watches with multiple Google Pixel phones and a Samsung s23 Ultra (over-rated). Watch life on all Garmin watches I've had has been good to really good. My wife has my Vivoactive 5 which routinely gets a week before charging. I got a Venu 3 on sale and battery life was equal until an update on it. Garmin is having trouble with this particular watch battery life. There's some software change that is going through more battery. That said, it's still better than the Samsung Watch 5 'Pro'. If the Vivoactive 5 has all the features you need, get the VA5. It's a significanly cheaper, battery efficient, stable device if slightly smaller.

    It has a "barrow-meter"? Is that for tracking how many wheelbarrow loads you do?

    Great comparison. I agree with your conclusion about the Venu being better for only fitness and the watch 6 being better for a balance between fitness and fashion. I wish the Watch 6 was a little more fitness focused, but overall its very good and im happy with it. Battery life consistently gives me 2 days max, that is will GPS and WIFI on and "always on" off.

      yes battery comparison was very misleading. Venu 3 is 14 days AOD off, or 5 days AOD on, or 20hrs of continuous GPS tracking or 11hrs of continuous GPS tracking with offline music playing (note the GPS while not multi-band is very comparable to multi-band if not in very challenging environments. Whereas the GW6 is pretty much the 40hrs whether AOD on or off; and can't get the continious tracking hours out of them, but as the GW5 Pro with a much bigger battery gets around 20hrs - I suspect considerably less. The big difference is if you do 30-60mins of GPS activity each day, with AOD off you will easily get 7-10 days between charges, or at least 4 days with AOD on; whereas with the GW you are looking at charging every day. However only a consideration if you don't like daily charging and or like to track activities for lengthy periods.

    Can someone explain why Venu 3 is so expensive? Compared to Samsung Galaxy 6 classic 47mm? The Venu 3 feels and looks very cheap (I had the white version in my hands), no premium look you could expect for this price. Also, the buttons are much worse than in Samsung - small, shaky, not properly responsive. The screen is protruding above the surface which means it will have scratches very quickly. Venu 3 does not feature body composition, snore detection, ECG, text-to-speech reminders. Battery life is great, right, but the price cannot be that high only because of this. If it cost 100EUR less, probably it could be an option and alternative for the GW6.

      I have a galaxy watch and I can't swim in polls shorter than 20m. However if I wanna swim in a 200m pool, the watch will gladly track it (is there even a pool that is 200, 150, 100m long???? Apparently Samsung thinks those are more common then 10, 12, 15m pools 🤦🏻‍♀️). I will change for the Venu 3 because I wanna be able to swim in smaller pools and still be able to track the activity.

    Samsung watches are stylish gadgets (but mor or less overpriced toys). If you want to have accurate data and tracking avoid Samsung. Sleep tracking with samsung results in power off 0% battery 😅 if you forget to charge before going to bed lol..
