I have kdss and I ordered the skid plate from car trim home question is sir do I need to remove the braces that had the black oem skid plate? Or do I leave those braces?
@saleemdean1153 the brackets are there for the oem thin metal skid that’s comes from factory. You can go both ways. But if you keep them, the stance will be slightly lower of my skid from CTH , vs without the brackets, what was the order ID of the skid plate ?
@KingSev I don't have the order od of the skid plate on hand but I got the 4runner skid plate to fit the kdsss suspension.

The opening is the right size to change your oil filter with anything you change when removing the whole skid so yes it fits .

A couple of reviews on your page show alignment issues with the front holes & letter holes, has this been remediated? TIA.
These were very old version 1 couple of years ago when launched, everything had been addressed and fixed, as per my video. I’ve done the review on purpose to see the oem and 2 versions we did. Are the holes for the oil filter hatch tapped directly into the skid plate or do they use a rivnut or another style of fastener?
At 2:57 min you see the inside of the opening where the screws go in. I tapped directly into the skid , I did not want an extra layer in between because of rust / salt etc. So I made them without rivets or anything. When and if 💩 hits the fan, at least you and I can fix them. Makes sense ?

mine didn't come with 2 sided tape on the back of the letters 🤔
1- when did you buy (first versions didn’t) when only Red was available
2-what’s the order ID ?
3-did the letters fit or the T was a little off ? That’s how I will determine if it’s the first versions , when i launched 2 years ago or recent stock . As mentioned in video, this is V2 , imported little imperfections and 2 color TRD color option .
The bolts on the oil filter access panel are they aluminum or stainless steel?
The older ones weren’t ; the newer ones are galvanized . Personally ; even Myself since I live in a salt / snow belt, I went to Home Depot and got aluminum . I will try to make the newer ones aluminum . But it’s not the end of the world, cost me 2$ at home depot . Next batch maybe I’ll advise the factory to make it aluminum or aluminium 😂

What aftermarket front bumpers are compatible with the non kdss CTH skid plate?
Front bumper ? I think most of them, the skid doesn’t interfere with the bumper, as you see I have a front metal bumper with winch.
What brand is your bumper?
With the access panel, what size socket to remove the 4 bolts?

Congrats on the runner , usually Models that have adopted the Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System to date include: 2010-2016 Toyota 4Runner Trail Edition. 2017-present Toyota 4Runner TRD Off-Road.
But there are a lot of videos on RUclips explaining what to look for to identify. On the side note, your VIN number also says it.

@@smiltiades when you punch your vin on a legit VIN decoder for TOYOTA “google search” VIN decoder , you’ll get all the info of your truck build. Or search RUclips for “how to identify KDSS Toyota 4Runner” 99% you have KDSS .

White ? You mean grey. There’s no white, it’s either grey / silver or black.
