@MultiplicityMe, word. I'm still blown away listening to them. The first time I heard Hiroshima I was getting ready to go on a med cruise and my roomy was playing this joint. Golden baby...golden.
Classic early 80's smoothness...yes this was smooth jazz along with groups like Azimuth, Yellow Jackets and Seawind takin it in another direction for radio airplay...good stuff..

Joy and fond memories back pertaining to my youth in life... from day one of being introduced to this Entertainers, Their Just Off The Hook and Total Of The Map... So do I, spend my life and resurrection loving our Creator and creators of this refreshing music. Thank you Hiroshima. Looking forward for an album dedicated to the Koto as a tribute to June.
I so remember this from 1980 when I'd hear it on a San Antonio jazz station. In fact, I have this album, although my turn-table is long gone! (lol) I loved this just as much now (almost 30 years later) as I did as a 19 year old back then.
Sing it Teri Kusumoto ! I have this album and it is a treaseure in my collection. Dan, June, Teri, Johnny, Danny,Jess, Dane, Peter, Richard. 1980 was a great time.
I remember Melvin Lindsey host of the Quite Strom, WHUR, Howard University radio playing Hiroshima in the early 80's all the time I was in 12th grade. What great days in DC back then.
This is a no-fail album. Every track on this album/tape/CD is awesome. This is my #1 favorite. Too bad it's hard to find on CD because I want this on my mp3 player.
Founder Danny Kuramoto grew up in East L.A., was influenced by EW&F and Santana. He met June at Long Beach State, married her, divorced her, but they remain musical partners to this day.
I'm still in love with that voice after all these years.
High School graduation... wore this out. On repeat...
Needed to unwind and just enjoy.
Dayyum...that was a Brown night..with Tony jawn!!!!
This song is the very definition of "smooth". And the vocals by Teri Kusumoto - dreamy... Thanx for posting!

I have all their LPs or on CD going back to their first release.
The sound of the Koto sooths my ears refreshes my mind and caresses my heart, stroked by June.

Hiroshima is my all time favorite band. from then to now. Arigatou gozaimashita. ^_^
THIS IS FINE AS WINE!!! WITH A FINE.
This has a dedicated R&B feel, unlike their later work which was more jazz fusion. Who's the lead singer?
