Queensryche - I will Remember - Live Unplugged - Reaction
This is off the CD called "Rage for Order" and for is me is my favorite CD besides " The Warning". This is the greatest Progressive metal band. It's not only the talent that is great but their Creativity that puts them on a whole different level. Geoff Tate/ Chris DeGarmo are an untouchable duo especially with Michael Wilton, Eddie Jackson, and Scott Rockenfield.
Those are my two favorite too👍
beautifulness
noun
The quality of being beautiful; elegance of form; beauty.
The quality of being beautiful; beauty.
When he says “You must see the nation’s eye” there’s a faint whisper in the back right after that says “Don’t hide”
Their album "operation mindcrime" is a story from start to finish. Really nice!
Thank you, I will be looking into it!
@@Texas_Love Best concept album ever. Every song is well. Very 1984. Listen to the entire album in one sitting. You will lke it. You are young, revolution and then ...
I remember now!
Ok I'm fron the Netherlands and we (old school) love beautiful metal (like Queensryche) and at the same time someting like; just try the Exploited Beat the bastards.
Keep on Rocking the RYCHE and Roll!!!! You can't fake real 💯 music. Salutes from Corpus Christi you know Texas is full of Queensryche fans 🔥
Right on, buddy!🤘🤘
Glad u checked this out his voice is amazing I'm a die hard fan check out killing words
Long time fan.... Since the beginning. They were dubbed the thinking mans band.... And *I will remember" is specifically about spy satellites. So your on the right track.
Please more queensryche! And I have enjoyed your thoughts about the lyrics
Thank you! More to come!
Geoff has an interview on RUclips and he tells the story of how he became a singer...and taking only 9 Lessons from a Vocal Coach/Teacher people called the Maestro. I had...maybe still do a voice that sounded so much like his it blew people's minds...I just never got to take more than 3 Classical Voice Lessons.
Mind-blowing is what they were. Geoff Tate is a master. This song grabs your attention and holds it tight pretty much the whole time.
Three songs down, and amazingly you haven't hit on Silent Lucidity yet. It'd be the one that had the most commercial success (QR's Enter Sandman, if you get my meaning). I'd suggest the MTV unplugged version though the official video is really well done too. Love the Diablo reference, btw. Lol.
😅I knew someone would be able to relate to it! Silent Lucidity coming soon!
My guy.. Glad you went on a Queensryche journey. They are insane ly talented and weee such a tight band and just as insane in concert live.
Suite Sister Mary on Operation Mindcrime is their “ HIDDEN GEM “ for me
Also. Heck out “ The Lady Wore Black “ live.. insane
@Oakland-A's-Diehard we saw that here about 2 weeks ago, great song!🤘🤘
Coming soon! We are on track 6 of the Operation Mindcrime album🤘🤘
Using a love melody to sing about satellites. Wow! Genius!
Also, if you like these guys and Metellica, then you must enter the Iron Maiden rabbit hole as well. You won't regret it.
That harmony guitar solo is the first solo that I taught myself on acoustic guitar back in the 80s.
Any song any album from the ryche is awesome.. With Tate on vocals.. You can't go wrong.. try reacting to "Bridge" from the promise land album the words are amazing fathers and sons can learn from it.
not a bad song in their first handful of albums
Yes! Like you said, QR meshes slightly dark with the beautiful! I love the intensity too. I think you got the song meaning just right. The lyrics are a little nebulous, which allows the listener to interpret the meaning through their own experiences and perception. This song always made me think of a future dystopian society that had developed technology that could track you, read your mind, and invade your consciousness.
I too, really like that the band writes about very interesting subjects, not just partying and girls, etc.
Here are a couple more you might like:
"Walk in the Shadows" about vampires.
"Roads to Madness" an epic song which I think is about someone taking their own life because they were so intensely curious about the afterlife. It reminds me of that old movie: "Flatliners".
"Another Rainy Night" a rare love song.
QR was dubbed early on as "the thinking man's band".
And their song subject matter really reflects this.
When you're ready...spend an evening absorbing their incredible concept album, "Operation: Mindcrime". One long story, which is considered lyrically and musically to be a masterpiece.
I'm sorry I go on SO long in my comments, but I just find it hard to be brief when it comes to them. I love discussing them. (Duh!)
I've also really enjoyed listening to your take on the past few QR songs you've reacted to! Keep 'em coming!
Thank you so much! I'm thinking about doing the Operation Mind Crime Album from start to finish! Thanks for taking the time and for your recommendations!
@@Texas_Love That would be great if you did Mindcrime! It's a lot to take in the first time hearing it, but in a good way. ☺️
subbed. grew up with this band, memories of surfing and hanging out with friends. times long ago. hey you mentioned you like guitar, yes? check out Buckethead. Thanks for the upload. ALWAYS love to see people react to this band
Thank you! I will check out buckethead, I think I had a roommate once that listened to buckethead. He was very good at guitar as well
It is about spy satellites 😉 I love your take on the ambiance of the song. In the late 80s one my favorite things o do was to go outside at night and and play this track while gazing at the night sky. The studio version has a droning background that just envelopes you if you listen with headphones.
That seems like something I would do!
I think you need to hear the entire album. This is the last song. I have my own views of what it's about. I think it should be left to each person to figure out for themselves that it "means". Or is it just cool songs? Geoff did say it's a concept album. Which would mean a thread of story thru.
Definitely check out more from this album Rage For Order! Songs like “Walk In The Shadows”, “The Killing Words” and “I Dream in Infrared” would be great listens🤘🏻
OK...I'll throw out my thoughts on the entire album. The start is a vampire just doing his thing. Feeding... etc. But he falls in love. And she is killed in London. He kinda snaps and wants to take down all of humanity, turning everyone into vampires under his control. While at the same time developing technology to make his control complete. BUT, the technology becomes too smart and boots him out of command. And "The star that came tonight" is higher intelligence beings (who have been watching) finally take over. And "save" humanity. Just my 2 cents!
Have you seen Nathaniel Rateliff &the Night Sweats singing S.O.B It’s soo good. I reckon you would like it. Hope u r feeling better soon!
Thank you! I haven't seen that yet, but it looks like I should soon!
Hi Texas love ❤ do your self a favour and react to Jimmy Barnes & Joe Bonamassa singing to Deep Purples song (Lazy) it's right up your alley, in a good way of course hahah.
Thank you, I will!
Great reaction! I love Queensryche. Maybe try Queensryche " Empire"
Thank you! I guarantee we will see it here, working our way through Operation Mindcrime album right now🤘🤘 Track 6 and 7 are coming soon😃
@@Texas_Love yay🙂
