Revamp stained upholstery or alter the color to better match your mini space using paint! Painting fabric often creates a leathery texture and appearance. I'll show you how to retain much of the softness of unpainted fabric.
    My fave things:
Miter Shears- this pair is highly rated and has replaceable blades
    amzn.to/3LchlUy
2 oz bottle of Diamond Glaze
    amzn.to/3zmMLR1
8 oz bottle of Diamond Glaze
    amzn.to/3zpiMbm
    Double-sided flooring tape
    amzn.to/423tJwL
    Mini Clamps
    amzn.to/3vBdc6U
Heat gun- I use mine to quickly dry paint, soften the glue to dismantle furniture and quickly cure polymer clay without an oven. Gets a lot hotter than a hair dryer.
    amzn.to/3YBAIcH
Craft heat gun that doesn't get as hot as mine
    amzn.to/3ZZ5wWe
Nail Studs- I like these because there are a variety of sizes in silver and brass
    amzn.to/3JEtJMd
For under $10, you get a variety of jump rings, lobster clasps and pliers
    amzn.to/3Zu7sGd
Paper fasteners & 1/8" hole punch
    amzn.to/3O5nYI6
11 piece clay tool set for $10
    amzn.to/4bLvW49
I have lots of projects planned ranging from abandoned miniatures, furniture makeovers, dioramas, accessories, kits and Dollhouse Miniatures in multiple scales. I'm also working on a large Harry Potter build in 1" scale. I'm making the Gryffindor Common Room from scratch.

Wow, fabric softener? Who knew?!?!?! Fantastic tip. I have a mass produced three piece suite from a lot that’s a nice shape but the fabric is horrible. I’ve been putting off reupholstering it but painting it like this is the perfect solution, thanks ❤xxx

    • @queencityminis
      @queencityminis  3 месяца назад +1

That's perfect! I find it so much easier and less intimidating to paint fabric rather than reupholstering. Make sure you carefully burn off any fibers and shave pills before painting.

Absolutely precious! Stained fabric is always a nightmare, and especially if it's old there's a good chance the stain can't be removed. Dyeing or, in this case, painting, is sometimes the only option, especially with something so small and delicate.

    • @queencityminis

The stain on the bench seemed really stubborn in particular. The chair's toile was discolored all over. I wonder if the glue underneath the fabric caused it.
