    One of my Patrons requested this project! I made an ice box using popsicle sticks & other junk. Even if you don't plan to make an ice box, there are plenty of fun techniques you can apply to other projects.
    You can buy the Chrysnbon ice box kit here from my favorite dollhouse store, Earth & Tree Miniatures:
    earthntree.com/miniatures/ind...
    My fave things:
    2 oz bottle of Diamond Glaze
    amzn.to/3zmMLR1
    8 oz bottle of Diamond Glaze
    amzn.to/3zpiMbm
    Double-sided flooring tape
    amzn.to/423tJwL
    Mini Clamps
    amzn.to/3vBdc6U
    Heat gun- I use mine to quickly dry paint, soften the glue to dismantle furniture and quickly cure polymer clay without an oven. Gets a lot hotter than a hair dryer.
    amzn.to/3YBAIcH
    Craft heat gun that doesn't get as hot as mine
    amzn.to/3ZZ5wWe
    Nail Studs- I like these because there are a variety of sizes in silver and brass
    amzn.to/3JEtJMd
    For under $10, you get a variety of jump rings, lobster clasps and pliers
    amzn.to/3Zu7sGd
    Paper fasteners & 1/8" hole punch
    amzn.to/3O5nYI6
    11 piece clay tool set for $10
    amzn.to/4bLvW49
    I have lots of projects planned ranging from abandoned miniatures, furniture makeovers, dioramas, accessories, kits and Dollhouse Miniatures in multiple scales. I'm also working on a large Harry Potter build in 1" scale. I'm making the Gryffindor Common Room from scratch.

      I'm piggy backing off your comment, Shyra, because sometimes RUclips does funny things, and not letting me comment is one of them!
      Love the refrigerator! You add so much detail to all of your miniatures. I don't think I could even think of them. Anyway, it looks fantastic.
      Can you tell me where you got the gold stuff (can't remember what it's called) that you used for the hinges and latches?
      Thank you, as always, for sharing your talents!

    I am a Queen City Minis Patreon Member and it’s great. I made a special request on Patreon two weeks ago if Shyra would show us how to make this item because I couldn’t find it anywhere. She’s been so kind and wow what a wonderful work of art she’s created!
    Well done Queen City Minis and Shyra, thank you 💐

    Great job! I'm really impressed with how the ice box turned out. One can always tell when you are watching a professional by the way the opps are corrected. In my opinion, resanding and applying more varnish to where the glue was, is one of the signs of a professional. I hope you have plenty of room to display your miniatures in your new place. It would be nice, if one day, you could do a video, showing all the miniature pieces you have made. Like all great artists, you need to do a show! I love your work.

    That turned out fabulous! I love how you used the Dresden for the hinges, it looks perfect. It never ceases to amaze me all the normal things we can use to make miniatures and faux this and that. I agree too about the side panel as well. You have a tendency to talk negatively about your work and all these “so called mistakes”you make, but to be honest, you REALLY are a GREAT artist!! You can think outside the box, come up with many alternatives when something doesn’t work one way or another. And mistakes….no such thing. 😉 They are creative opportunities to make an art piece even better and you do that all the time. You are also a wonderful teacher. You explain things clearly and to the point, no excessive talking or loud music that covers your voice, etc. I truly love watching each and everyone of your videos for these reasons and more, so give yourself some more credit and love when it comes to your art because you totally deserve it. Just read what others have said here as well. We ALL love your work. Ok, novel is over, but I just wanted you to know all this and how much I appreciate all your hard work. ♥️🙏🏼

    Just an idea because I know u said in one of ur videos that u had a pair of miter shears that did not have a replaceable blade and urs were dull and that u hate throwing anything away. I recently found at my sewing/craft store a little sharpener for scissors (made by Fiskars). It just looks a bit like a ceramic bar u rub on scissors and it sharpens them amazingly! So just thought that might help u fix ur dull set. 😊

    so cute! I would love to get started right now and build one like that. But I'm stuck in a papercraft project right now😅. Why don't you use the Miter scissors for the 45 degree angle?

    • @queencityminis
      @queencityminis  3 месяца назад +1

      The blades are too thick. It's makes the cut inaccurate. It's easier for me to use a craft knife.

    I’m so glad I found your channel!! I have a really hard time coming up with ideas on my own and a lot of other people I watch just buy accessories and I find scavenging and making my own so much more fun and you give me so many ideas!! After watching your Q&A video, I found out we are very close to each other; I live just over the state line in New Hampshire and I always hear you saying you got mini things at dollar store but I have yet to find any minis at all the Dollar Trees I have visited so do you know the location of the Dollar stores you know have them??

    • @queencityminis
      @queencityminis  3 месяца назад

      I've found minis in the Dollar Tree in Nashua & several in Massachusetts. Most of them carry the Greenbrier furniture.

      Oh, you should definitely just forget about the Dollar Tree and visit Earth & Tree Miniatures in Amherst, NH. It's the best dollhouse store in the world, IMHO. The prices are incredible.

      I’ve hit every dollar tree in Nashua, Hudson and Pelham and haven’t found a single mini. I’ve driven past Earth n Tree twice already but have gone a little crazy spending for minis lately so I’ve resisted going in because from the looks of the website I’m certain I could not control myself inside there lol my birthday is coming and I’ve been dropping hints about those laser cutting machines to my boyfriend already haha I tend to be a bit obsessive whenever I find a hobby I like. I’ve been bingeing your videos and decide to start a new project about every third video I watch

    I really need to go to Earth and Tree, it's only like a half hour from me... how are the prices?

    • @queencityminis
      @queencityminis  3 месяца назад +1

      The prices are incredible! They've been in business for 30 years. I suspect they haven't increased their prices much. I know people who buy from them and resell on eBay. Their prices rival online prices, which is rare from a brick & mortar store.
