    great video buddy. Just subbed :) Havent looked at any of your other videos, but hopefully theyre also tech vids! I just got my first titan X... I went with the EVGA titan X hybrid. Im going with 2 of them though. Just waiting on them to be back in stock.. Cant wait! Ive got mine overclocking with a boost of 1427MHz and haven't seen the card go above 40 degrees celcius yet lol........ which is just downright bonkers. That's almost a 50% overclock. Cant wait to get the second one and start playing everything in 4k maxed out :D

    Nice video. I'm going to try your tweak settings. I have mine at +210mhz Core Clock and +400mhz Memory Clock @ +24mv. I saw it on a website once and tried it. Got the fans running at 80% temps don't go above 70c. I'm going to try to remove the increase in voltage to 0 and raise the Memory Clock to 500 and see what happens.

    Great video!
    I'm looking to buy the GTX Titan X.
    3 options:
    EVGA
    Gigabyte
    EVGA Superclocked
    I'm wondering if EVGA SC has any physical improvement at all

    Hi,I would have been interested in a GPU-Z running while overclokcing : with +220 in core clock, which value is shown by GPU-Z at core clock ?

  • @trentf4891
    @trentf4891 9 лет назад

    I've found that a slight memory oc
    creates instability for me unfortunately. Thankfully I can reach 200+ on the core. Seems like every new driver release causes oc instability until I finally just removed the memory oc. I was running +220 core and + 200 memory.

    i wonder if he was to lower the memory clock and raise the gpu more it would be a better approach?

    o could only get my 2 titan x sc cards to 1290mhz before they crashed, but individually I could get my primary slot card to 1450mhz with no voltage compensation and very stable

    Hi!
    How did you get so high overclock without crashing? I have Evga Titan x with watercooler and i only got +160 mhz gpu clock and +380 mhz mem clock without crashing(i had before 400mhz mem and 180mhz gpu clock, but i got crash after playing a game). If i want your overclock, do i have to add more voltage? I have 750w Corsair psu and Asrock z77 extreme 4 motherboard.

    Would you know why my titanX keeps dropping the video driver in games? It's not over clocked. Would a regular display port adapter cause it? It plugged into a predator 34" monitor.

    I have a 980 ti, I can run Heaven all day long and never fail but I run Furmark and it will fail in less than 5 min. is that a Nvidia thing or does it stress the GPU is some different way? It really hurt my overclock but better to be stable right? I am currently using some built in game stress tests, Heaven, Valley, and Furmark. FurMark is the one that it always fails on though. Some feedback would be awesome. Thanks If your curious it is the Evga 980 ti SC with the ACX 2.0, the ASIC is 86. The GPU does not like overvolting but will eat up as much power limit as I can throw at it. Not sure if bios hack is worth it. I am stable at 1449 MHz core clock with GPU boost 2.0.

    To enable Voltage mods on Titan X in MSI Afterburner , you need to edit the config file
    Typically this will be in C:\Program Files (x86)\MSI Afterburner\Profiles
    Edit (Notepad works) the file called VEN_10DE&DEV_17C2&SUBSYS_113210DE&REV_A1&BUS_1&DEV_0&FN_0
    Add the following line:
    [Settings]
    VDDC_Generic_Detection = 1
    Having typed this 4.1.1 has been released which probably works without adding this line anyway (untested)

    Is there a way to monitor the V-ram temp? Cause i use the arctic accelero Xtreme Iv and with 235Mhz core overclock, the max temp was 63c core, but the ram part was way warmer and the 90mm support fan on top of it had a hard time cooling it down.

      The backside of a Titan X gets very hit as some of the VRM's and Chips are on the back of the PCB.

    The mV doesn't matter which version of the card you have for afterburner. I have the stock one straight from NVIDIA.com and it too locks Voltage on afterburner. I put an EK waterblock and backplate on my Titan X and the temps never get above 45 degrees C even after hours of gaming at 1420 MHZ on the core and 8000 MHZ on the VRam. I got these speeds simply by the extra 10% power limit NVIDIA allows on Afterburner. I could probably push this even further by adding millivolts but I'm scared of frying my 1,000 card lol. Plus I'm gaming at 1440p on the ROG SWIFT and the Titan X is shredding games at these speeds. Don't feel a need to push it any further.. although there is always that small part of me that wants MORE!!!

      Randy Moss yeah Im in the same boat! I bought the titan X hybrid. Im waiting on the second one. I was able to reach a boost clock of 1427MHz and haven't seen the temperature go above 40 degrees lol I cant believe it. I played the witcher for like 5 hours last night and when I finished I checked the monitor and yeah.. didn't go over 40 like I said lol it was amaaaaaaazing. Im so not used to that haha.. Im coming from having 2 gtx 980s in SLI on air cooled... sold them last week bought my first titan x hybrid, just waiting for them to get back in stock so I can order the second one....
      I cant believe how much these cards overclock lol. Theyre absolute beasts without the OC but with a 1427MHz boost that's litereally almost a 50 percent increase lol... Once I get the second card there wont be a game I wont be able to play in 4k at 60 fps... cant wait.

    I got the evga branded titan x but its the stock cooler on the card i dont get that? whats the point? the cooler sucks its very loud now i have to get a waterblock or somthing ugh. as i typed it you mentioned they all are stock cooler....so why are there evga,gigabyte etc if there all the same?

    • @theivadim
      @theivadim  9 лет назад

      A42yearoldARAB EVGA, Gigabite and others are partners of Nvidia. Nvidia develops GPUs. Partners buy their chips and sell them. With other GPUs partners have option to use better coolers and alter power delivery and other things but in order to do that Nvidia must authorize it and also give partners blueprints for GPU. Titan X is one of the GPUs that they don't allow to alter(at the moment). Thats why it is only sold as reference design.

    • @A42yearoldARAB
      @A42yearoldARAB 9 лет назад

      RGOC right i kinda wondered if there was some restrictions on the titan at that point what would be the point in partners if they cant change thing in order to mark them up? maby nvidia gives them a discount then they sell it at asking price? I like how the cooler vents out the back but man does it get hot and loud my 980s in sli were almost in-audible even on 4k.

    • @theivadim
      @theivadim  9 лет назад

      Yup. And GPU temperature is above 80C on default fan settings. I will watercool my PC when I'll get a chance :)

    does it decrease the life time of the gpu if you dont touch the core voltage

    • @theivadim
      @theivadim  9 лет назад

      TheGamer Tibo If you keep it cool and OC is stable then it won't have much effect on lifespan of GPU. Heat is the enemy here as with any electronics.

      Zedgor Sigumbadgi I'm sorry but it looks like I won't be able to do it in near future. Here is a good guide that I can recommend ruclips.net/video/d_4DNirxNc0/видео.html
      This guy does good job explaining the process.

    • @MasterGGG
      @MasterGGG 9 лет назад

      Zedgor Sigumbadgi they dont overclock very well, AMD pretty much released them at their limit, maybe 50-100mhz if your lucky, they are limited by heating issues, the R9 290 is a terrible product as a whole package, a speedy card, yes, but too much power and too much heat, plus drivers arent as smooth as nvidia's

    • @thirtyplusgamer
      @thirtyplusgamer 9 лет назад

      Zedgor Sigumbadgi Radeon are not very good at OC. Wait for 300 series. They might OC better!
