Well, just made my first painting ever. You almost had me believe it was going to be easy😅 thank you for this lovely tutorial I wish we could upload photos here to show you our results :)
Thank you soooo much for such a lovely tutorial! This was just what I needed. The way you explain your paintings is always so helpful. Simple yet breathtaking :)
Great instruction! Thank you for discussing how wet or dry an area is and moving about. I have an issue with patience in drying or how dry and adding pigment and/or water. Also, thank you for showing which brush, blending on ur palette and when you clean ur brush. Those nuances really help!! 💜
Thank you so much for your clip. I accidentally found you here. I’m a very beginner. Your demonstration is very clear, easy to follow and easy to follow. Thank you so much 🙏🏻😊
Ah thanks Bekkah! That’s made my day. I have had eczema on my face since the pandemic started and it’s been quite challenging to show my face sometimes so thank you x
I am SO pleased to have found your channel. I have tried and backed away, discouraged, from botanicals more than once because of the level of detail I could not achieve at my skill level. Your botanicals have a loose and suggestive quality that manages to accurately depicts the flower. With your videos and attention and practice, I feel hopeful that I may at last be able to paint flowers that make me happy. I so appreciate your style and relaxed manner! I will be getting your botanical book and am considering Patreon. Thank you so very much for investing all the time and effort that are required to teach others this amazing medium!
Ah thank you that really means a lot because I sometimes worry about doing my own versions of flower tutorials that are already on RUclips in many different ways
I watch your tutorials bit so far I haven’t given them a go! I think they are a bit more than i can do, but I think I’ll have to jump in and see how one turns out!!
So beautiful, Harriet. I will try that. Today I painted Pumpkin Patch from your last year's video. And it got out so very nice. I am painting a lot more since I got to your video's. How nice is that then. Thanks for that. Bye for now.
Your lilacs are lovely and I also want to comment on the vase. This is one of the best glass vases that I have seen on RUclips and I have been wanting to learn how to paint a glass vase. So I will be practicing your tutorial ❣️❣️
@@deWintonPaperCo I had s very satisfying result with my glass jar🥰 And I put an autumn pink hydrangea (based on one in my neighborhood) in it, using your method for hydrangeas as in your recent tutorials. Super happy with how the painting turned out ❣️ Guess who is placing an order for your book!
Oh my gosh, this one is so much fun. I absolutely love it. I'm still trying to catch up on your videos. I love your teaching style as well as your painting style. Thank you so much!
Great video. I would love for you to talk to us about HOW you form the petal shapes with your brush, more about the size of the brush and how you use the brush to make shapes….
Love this …. Brilliant…. But keep it even easier if possible. Im bad at this w no natural talent so the easier the better please. Thanks so mych. Gave u a thumbs up
I just received your brushes that I ordered and this was my first painting I made with them. Wow what a difference they make! They are so much more “responsive” than what I’ve been using, so thanks for saying which size brush you use! I need to practice the vase some more. Do you have other tutorials that work on that as well. Also any suggestion on color substitute without Prussian blue. I mixed Layne’s grey with burnt sienna but for the darker area just used a diluted paynes grey.
Hi Harriet! Just finished painting the lilacs and the vase! I’m so happy with the outcome! The payne’s grey diluted was great for shadow. I liked the mix of burnt sienna, cobalt blue and payne’s gray too! If my lilacs are not perfectly centered, is that a good time to fill in with a very diluted version of another lilac stem? Thanks for this wonderful project! Marianne🎨
I accidentally left a mark of paint on my paper so I just made it into another flower as if it hasn’t been put in the jar yet!
awesome idea
😂 it happens a lot

Love this one Harriet. I will be having a go today. Many thanks and hope you have the happiest and healthiest 2023.
Thank you! You too!
That’s just lovely. The low lights add so much to the painting. Thank you so much.
You’re welcome 😊

Same here lol. I'm like do I really have to wait to let it dry? Instant regret when I don't
Stunning! The dark added at the end really makes the bouquet "pop" !!!

Hi, can I ask if you wet the blank paper before you start?
