  • My civic needed a little maintenance before I continue on the build, so I took apart my 6262 Turbo to rebuild it so my civic iwll make 500HP safely! The EG is my favorite chassis, and after having watched BoostedBoiz the past few weeks, it'd motivated me to get back on the grind. This video is only me practicing for our upcoming build videos, so hopefully you enjoy

    We rotors a rotors centric RUclips channel focusing only on rotarys! Today we are going to rebuild a Honda turbo why because rotary

    6262? I thought Civics had to use 25 to 45mm exhaust housings to be able to spool up quick enough. With a bigger Inlet turbine. What is that turbos optimal Power Ranges?

    To add: Mark the grind mark in orientation to the turbine wheel (exhaust side). ALL turbos are balanced the same way. Each component is balanced, then balanced as an assembly.
    That is why there are grind marks on the turbine wheel (on the cast nut) and on the compressor side on the fastener. Better to have it aligned than torqued to spec.

    I have an Fd and my local rotary workshop (rotor master in Sydney) offers both 6262 and 6266 for a single turbo conversion. What rpm does each turbo hit full boost and how much hp can I expect on a 13b? Cheers.

      Joseph Young it all depends on what port you have. A Bridgeport will spoil it pretty quick, Street port will be a little more laggy but not terrible.

      ROTORS thanks for your reply. I have a mild ported 13b. I aim to make 450-500hp. Is 6266 enough or do you recommend another turbo for those power goals?

    FYI, Precision (brand name) turbos are really finicky about how much oil it gets. Likely why the seal failed.
    Advice is to run an oil feel restricter. Seen a quite a few Precision turbos with the same issue.

      I made another video previously a few weeks ago but never released it, the turbo didn't have a restrictor, I've since installed a .060 restrictor

    • @KennyatHumble
      @KennyatHumble  6 лет назад

      Most honda people just run -3an feed lines to avoid a restrictor, the turbo kit I bought included a 4an so that's what I stuck with. Ideally, you should never run a restrictor assuming you have an adequate return, but it's also the reason why precision turbos now come with built in restrictors. Another contributing factor the turbo blowing oil is the fact it isn't spinning because of the large compressor/no intercooler piping. As the turbo spins, it helps dynamically seal both the compressor and exhaust side.
