Norm, get these incredible guitars out to the shop and give em some air. You are a genius custodian my friend for keeping them safe and sound for so long. Time for them to come to life once again. Just to just sit down, play and listen to each one's signature sound would be a dream come true for all flat top freaks, particularly Gibson lovers. This is Aladdin Cave heaven.
First Last I would have to get a couple of long distance flights so I guess it ain’t happening. Plus I don’t think I could afford any of the guitars anyway.
First Last sounds good! A tele is the one thing I don’t have ( I say that like I have every other guitar, which I don’t). I prefer the single coil sound and I tend to play quite clean, probably because I rarely get to crank up the volume. I definitely would love a tele. It would have to be a Squier although I’d love to be able to afford something vintage.
@The Bored AF Guitarist right.. it's just a freakin storage unit.. Norm wants us to believe it's a secret castle hidden in the Sierra-Nevada mountains and houses the lost arc....
@@BillyBongwaters Huh? What did "I assume" Norman said? reread my reply.. I never said he SAID anything.... so yeah, unless you thoroughly read a reply, stay out of it....

Even though I'm not much into acoustics (I've only owned two in the 37 years I've been playing) Norm never ceases to impress from what he pulls out from his personal collection from the warehouse. And these are just some of the treasures...I can only imagine what he's holding back...
I realized today watching this that Norm bought these guitars he has hid away for 30-40 years for more hundreds of dollars compared to the thousands of dollars he can charge now...it is a staggering amount of guitars, not including the shows he buys at and his store inventory...mind blowing
How many guitars do you have in there, cause you have gotten so many out of there already and they never seem to end and especially the quality of instruments!
Dave Edmunds !! - quite instrumental in getting me started playing guitar. Check out Love Sculpture's album "Blues Helping" - a real late-sixties British Blues Boom sound. With some lovely playing by Dave... and of course Sabre Dance!

Norm's should do a lottery where the winner gets to pick out a guitar from the warehouse. He could put a $25,000 limit on it to keep everyone from picking out a '59 burst.... I'll volunteer to do it first since it was my idea!!
J-185 in sunburst at the 5:23 mark was beautiful. I don't know how someone buys a guitar from Norm. Just when you think you found the guitar you like, he's got another 50 crates full of guitars to go through.
I wish I could afford to free one from captivity, let it spread its silent strings and fly. Like a guitar rescue. This might be the premise for the next reality TV show.
So sad that in a seven minute video, not one chord was strummed on any of those guitars, nice to see so many well kept instruments, but it would be great to hear them, even briefly
Come on Norm ❗️❗️❗️❗️❗️ bust out the rare Gibson Les Pauls you got 🙏🏼🙏🏼

My question. How is it that you have had these acoustic guitars "Stashed" away up to 40+ years with no humidification and not cracked?
4 года назад
@FightsatJim’splace in the cases you I don't see any humidification. Now if the warehouse pops out 50% humidity then maybe. Unless you work there or know if they do. Then we don't know!!!
Vintage guitars are not as rare as it would seem. Just that they are all in storage units waiting for the artificial inflationary increase before letting them out into the market. It’s a manipulation of the supply and demand economic principle. But, more power to Norm who has been grabbing them for decades hoping for that increase. If you take a gamble like that you should get some rewards! Risky investments can bring big rewards and should. I’m glad he did or we might not be seeing these gems now?!?!?
