I live about 10 minutes from the place and what is fascinating is that there are thousands of guitars on the floor, thousands more in the back, and thousands more in warehouses around the city.
Norm, I love ya man but can you please find a proper and sturdy surface to show off the museum pieces please! It stresses me out to watch you open a case balanced on a stool or flopping a case down on the sofa in a haphazard manner......Dang🤔.
Norm and crew, you guys are awesome and I love seeing all of the guitars in your shop. I would love to see some better camera work though...glare, bad angles and missing the details of those beauties that we all love to see in full and up close detail.
Love your guitar finds and really appreciate and respect the honesty when you tell us the history and exactly what these guitars are . No sugar coating sells .
rare to see a '58 Strat where the red didn't fade, that guitar spent almost all of its life in the case, would love to find a '59 in that condition, but only after I win the lottery 🎸
Norm must be an old rock n roll dinosaur 🙂 So many electrics. But some of those old acoustics are truly elegant. I'd like to hear him play some organ. I like the old archtops. Liked the Gretsch. Love old Martins...appreciate all the history here -
And if you had the cash? Do you really would pay 10 times that much or more as for a customshop strat? Do you really think this guitar sounds better than a customshop ? I don' t think so. I guess it' s an under bed guitar. Wasn' t played a lot.
Man if I had that store I would not leave I'd sleep there,my apt would be in the back ,and at night I'd do what I do,& come back and play something different every night . I would sleep with all the guitars around me . I would be a happy man
Tom would give you a smile and a pat on the back for that mudcrutch poster in the background Norman thank you my friend. Please know that there is Thousands if not more of us out here that recognize the extent of your knowledge and understand how important it is and wish that we could download your freaking brain LOL
I just got a affinity Squire that looks identical to that first Strat he showed us , other then it’s missing the skunk stripe down the back of the neck. I wonder what the price difference is lol. No kidding though, they look identical. I also have a Harley Benton bass that’s identical to the first bass he showed us here. I bet you couldn’t buy the pickups in those for what these are new lol.
Hey Norm, LOVE your channel! I’ve learned so much about guitars from your vids and I’m so grateful. Strange thing to me though is I’ve never seen you purchase and discuss the Gibson Byrdland. They are such beautiful guitars, made most famous (at least to me) by Ted Nugent. I may have missed one of the guitar purchase reveals but is there a reason you don’t buy them?
Norm i love the t shirt! can it be purchased somewhere? i love music do not play guitar but i would buy a Strat just to look at it and appreciate it as a piece of art!
Being a Telecaster lover the last one was outstanding. I appreciated your accurate description. I guess who owned it because seems it hasn't been player oftenly.
It's funny to think about Gibson guitars. The Les Paul has been the same since the late 50s and Gibson STILL has problems with finish cracking at the nut among other problems. Imagine if GM or Ford had been building the same car since 1955 and they still couldn't get them right.
saving my money..comin in to LOS ANGELES...I see a "FLYING V"..I want it!!!..I have over 30 signed guitars Norm..Donated a lot to Children with cancer.Hope to see ya soon.".ICEMAN"
You'd think that they'd be a little more careful with those guitars and cases then to open and remove them while balancing on top of a bar stool...then they pull another bar stool over and balance on two bar stools! If it was anyone but Norm...they would've been fired!
Yes, that info would be nice to know. However, I think that by the time you or I would contact him about any particular one, it would already be sold. Norm finds and buys the BEST, hands down.
sometimes (only sometimes)i wonder where all thes old guitars are turning up from.....shurely they can't have been stuck under somebodys bed for 50 years....:-)
@Roger Cardenas, yes that's correct. I have a friend who owns more than 200 guitars and he doesn't even play. He just collects them, and oddly enough, he can set them up to near perfection. He is an excellent tech. LOL...Of course Leo Fender didn't play guitar either...
Hi uncle Norm , it's Dewey your long lost nephew ,you never gave me one birthday present in my whole life ,the L5 would be a nice present .Ha,Ha.All you haters out there who think these guitars are overpriced I bet you if you had a 62 Stratocaster like I used to have you'd cry like a baby when you realized you sold it for too cheap.
So Norm We are all wondering When you say from my warehouse How many and how much money did you have in those days I really need to know How did you accumulate so many back in the day You must have been a slightly wealthy man ???
Glad that you dropped the Disgusting Muzzle in this Video. Although the Vintage Guitars look nice, They are WAY overpriced. With the CNC machines one can get a Guitar that the Quality is MUCH better than the Vintage Guitars for a fraction of the price. I had a Japanese Sunburst "62" Custom Reissue Tele that played better and stayed in tune better than a American made Tele.
This shop kills me. I need to see this place before I die
I live about 10 minutes from the place and what is fascinating is that there are thousands of guitars on the floor, thousands more in the back, and thousands more in warehouses around the city.
@@danielquick9947 Does the shop do well? Does he sell a lot of these or does he just love buying them and having them , like an addiction?
Balancing the cases on that stool is giving me palpitations.
LMFAO......ditto here :-))
Some of those price tags gave me the poops. $24,500, $10,400 Yikes.
Me too, I'm like, oh no, NNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOO, OH OK... each time. Lol
Me too! But it's just another day for Norm.
Me too...I was suffering
Norm, would the store budget stretch to a table to show off the guitars, instead of that goddam wonky stool.
If it's the most amazing Strat in the world, you may want to invest in a table to rest it on.
Ha
@Brody Cesar you get paid for posting this stuff? I need to make extra money besides donating my freakin plasma

Everyone going hard on Norm for the ring and stool.
Raise your hand if you think Norm has a counterfeiter in the wood shed. Norm and his endless supply of one of a kind vintage guitars.
That man has opened a LOT of guitar cases in his time!
Norm,
I love ya man but can you please find a proper and sturdy surface to show off the museum pieces please!
It stresses me out to watch you open a case balanced on a stool or flopping a case down on the sofa in a haphazard manner......Dang🤔.
Once again thanks for the longer format videos
I don’t know a singe guitar chord but I love to watch these classic guitar show and tell vids
Norm and crew, you guys are awesome and I love seeing all of the guitars in your shop. I would love to see some better camera work though...glare, bad angles and missing the details of those beauties that we all love to see in full and up close detail.
Camera is way too amateur- get a pro it’ll make a world of difference
Showcase guitars priced for blues lawyers and dentists,
Those are his low budget buyers . You ever seen his regular clientele?
It makes me sad I'll never be able to afford one of Norman's, but it makes me even sadder some of those stored won't ever be played again.
now its gettin good. norm is blowing throught a large amount of stuff and we get a history lesson, he makes some mistakes but this is epic people
Love how he putting it on 2 chairs nice. Real classic a chair for every case
Love your guitar finds and really appreciate and respect the honesty when you tell us the history and exactly what these guitars are . No sugar coating sells .
One day I hope to make it to Norms and be able to afford one of his amazing guitars ..
rare to see a '58 Strat where the red didn't fade, that guitar spent almost all of its life in the case, would love to find a '59 in that condition, but only after I win the lottery 🎸
Him just spinning these cases around on stools when putting the guitars back makes me so nervous lol
6:50 only $37,900 for the Strat. No problem!
Have more money in the shop than any bank in the area!!!
norm, buy a freakin table!!!! and take off the ring
The stool was sweating

Jesus. That Strat looks cleaner than new ones.
Grats on the hammond! Someday it would be fun to see Norm's keyboards! Is it just organs?
That Strat is just sick. Wish I had the cash.
And if you had the cash?
Do you really would pay 10 times that much or more as for a customshop strat?
Do you really think this guitar sounds better than a customshop ?
I don' t think so.
I guess it' s an under bed guitar.

The 49 l5 was amazing.also nice jazz bass
Wish he would provide pricing when he talks about each guitar he holding..

Nice to see Norm graduated to 2 stools by the end of this.
The Coral Sitar - the sound of Fascination Street by the Cure.
Whats the asking price on that last Tele? I'll call uncle Elon for my early bday present.

Chicago, Europe one of those country's
Sit down and play for us, Norman.
The Telecaster is impressive!,✨
God bless Norm, what a cool guy

Does Norm love L5’s or is that the same one from last month?

Try the Normans rare guitars website. I think they sell merch like that.
3:19 For the love of God can somebody please help Norm! Hold that case.
Cool guitars!
It doesn't get much better.
That Strat has Samboras name all over it!
Or even John Frusciante,Chris Duarte or Joe Bonamassa.🎸🎛️🎼🎶👍🤠
*generic comment about balancing vintage guitar on a stool*
Yow.....I'll take 'em all Norm.....my buddy Rick from pawn stars will be around to negotiate......:-)
Does everything go through Joe Bonamasa first ?
Hoarding at its highest level...
"for psychedelia reasons", best excuse ever to buy a guitar or sitar or guitar that kinda sounds sitar-ee
hi Guys, why is it that you never show Explorers? are they too hard to find?
Sit-tar = the twang sound!,✨
Fender forgot how to do 3-color sunbursts.
I understand that his name is on the place but this man should not be allowed to handle the instruments.
Being a Telecaster lover the last one was outstanding. I appreciated your accurate description. I guess who owned it because seems it hasn't been player oftenly.
Telecaster 's are the best Guitars ever specialy old Original ' s by Fender USA.
It's funny to think about Gibson guitars. The Les Paul has been the same since the late 50s and Gibson STILL has problems with finish cracking at the nut among other problems. Imagine if GM or Ford had been building the same car since 1955 and they still couldn't get them right.
Cracking finish isn’t a big deal
That strat sitting on a fucking stool just about gave me a heart attack ffs.
Crazy '58 !

Got to atleast get a custom shop to come close to an old strat. The mexi stuff is way better for a Charvele or Jackson if that's your bag - go new.
You'd think that they'd be a little more careful with those guitars and cases then to open and remove them while balancing on top of a bar stool...then they pull another bar stool over and balance on two bar stools! If it was anyone but Norm...they would've been fired!
Why is this Mike dude always itchin' for the camera ?!!
GREAT MUDCRUTCH POSTER
People are broke and selling their treasured guitars during this pandemic. Norm is coming up big time.
No. People are getting old,no longer able to play and have no children/relatives interested in playing guitars. Don't play politics.
I’m surprised none of those fell of the guitar stool lmaooo
I'm very concerned about how these are handled. Please put them on a sturdy table and handle with soft gloves while seated only.
Norm is the best!!
I want to know how much that telly at the end goes for. Probably would need to sell my kidney and heart to get it.
I really wish Norm would buy a crappy guitar every once in a while to show to us regular folks.
Could you give a rough idea of value as you go please
Yes, that info would be nice to know. However, I think that by the time you or I would contact him about any particular one, it would already be sold. Norm finds and buys the BEST, hands down.
Most of them are listed on reverb. I just found that out.
Someone buy that Hammond organ!!
So is that one "Very cool" too?
they call that a v front super not a tv front
Damn can’t see the back too much light glare 👀👀👀👀👀👀👀
Play the B-3 ...
holy sitar!
And err this one pre dates err this one is a really unusual piece, err mirsto vibrato, in its original case err 😂
Norm.. with the Vintage Guitar Minute that lasts 28 minutes..
I wish it lasted all day.

Norm, what are you doing? Setting priceless instruments on spinning stools?!?!
Who buys a guitar & doesn't play it? That Strat was bought & left in the case? I don't get it.
It happens..... years ago I bought a mint 64' Jazz bass from a mother who lost her son in Vietnam and the bass sat untouched for many, many years.
Or some buy it as a investment rather than playing it.
@Roger Cardenas, yes that's correct. I have a friend who owns more than 200 guitars and he doesn't even play. He just collects them, and oddly enough, he can set them up to near perfection. He is an excellent tech. LOL...Of course Leo Fender didn't play guitar either...

Yep the only people that can afford these instruments are Eric Clapton or Paul McCartney😊
So Norm
We are all wondering
When you say from my warehouse
How many and how much money did you have in those days

How did you accumulate so many back in the day

Guitar Monopoly.Do not pass go .Do not collect $200.Why buy stocks and shares when you can buy a guitar at Uncle Norms.
Norman your showing the greatest guitars ever assembled but get a table those stools are for people
How many fakes are in a vintage guitar store…after watching for many years and seeing discovery after discovery it becomes hard to believe
I think someone needs a lesson on displaying guitars and opening vintage cases . . .
Look at all these old extremely expensivve guitars, that im balancing on a freakin barstool.......
Showing a sold guitar on a chair that goes round... why would you take the risk? Just an opinion

a lot of "clown-burst" fender specimens here indeed🤡
